I have a friend who hit the ball and the same thing happened to the blocker. His nose was bleeding and he had tissues in his nose during the second set

volleyball is just an upgraded version of our childhood “dont let the balloon touch the ground” except it’s a heavier and denser ball and there are teams

The most embarrasing thing that ever happened to me was in a high school match and when I received a serve instead of passing it, it hit my face 😭😭

I had a let serve and I was there and when it fell it ended up hitting me in the face 😭😭 it was so slow too
my lowlight was diving facefirst into a table for a ball at match point... one black eye later we still won 😃 never going near a table again tho

My most embarrassing moment was I pancaked it and it was an overpass and the other team spiked it back to our side and it hit me in the face while I was still on the floor😂
I was on serve receive in indoor and I missed the pass three times in a row and my mom yelled for my coach to get me off the court 😭😭

Regarding disrespectful plays.... at my practice today my setter yelled for help (as we do when we (the setter) won't reach the second ball in time) whilst the other team just fcked up a receive. Worst part was, we were leading by like 15 points. So whilst it was just a weird moment of confusion, it seemed like the hardest dis possible. Like, "somebody help them!" lmao
One of my teammates once hit the ref in the face in the hitting lines before a game and later she told us she did it on purpose because he was taunting her that her hits weren't good enough. That shit was mad disrespectful
I like the way she thinks. I would want to do that to a ref who would give yellow/red cards to smack talkers. Let them smack talk, ref!
Thr most embarrassing thing that happened to me on the volleyball court was when we were practising and im captain and im the 2nd setter so I was setting and my set went straight down and I got subbed out back into spiker
4:14 after is the WORSE feeling ever. Especially if the ball didn’t make it over now you just have your teammate on the ground and you’re trying to get back up 😭😭😭

My most embarrassing experience is that....i uh... receive the ball with my face... twice
my personal lowlight was a jumpserve right into my face by my teammate xD
my funny moment is that i accidentally hit the net, i mean when i accidentally hit the net when i was about to set is hit the net, but the funny part is the ref did not see so i just continued playing😂😂
My lowlight just happened this weekend- the sister had to pass the ball and it was abt to short. So I hit the floor to pass it over the net. The lowlight was I slid onto the opponent’s side. Parent were laughing at me and my teammates too💀

Once I jumped up to block a ball but it like teetered On the net so I fell back to the floor and then the ball fell and hit me right in the face
I was playing back row and I passed the ball so high it touched the ceiling 😅
My BIGGEST LOWLIGHT was when I was playing front row and the opponents couldn’t get it over the net, I thought they hit it over 3 times so I caught the ball. And IN FACT THEY DIDNT HIT MORE THAN 3 TIMES. But I did get over it and did better for the rest of the game and we did win.

One time i was subbing out for someone at a home game.. i tripped over one of my teammate’s legs, fell out of my shoe and then faceplanted right before subbing out in front of everyone at my school and their parents 😭
This one time I was in middle back after the other team got the ball and libero was supposed to go in for me but they weren’t paying attention, so I was looking over at my coach and wasn’t paying attention to the serve which ended up hitting my face 😭🤭
I just finished day 1 for a national qualifier in vegas and i face planted into the chairs today and now i have a bump on my face and a slight headache atleast i got the ball up🤠
My worst low light playing volleyball was one time I was running for the ball and my shoe just flew off causing me to fall on my face😭😭😭

Mine was miss understanding my coach and I went to outside hitter during mid play when I was supposed to stay in right back.
One time, my teammate had the set and he was right there, but it went right through his hands and on to his head. The worst part-it was a game point and we lost
I've been playing/setting since 1992 and that will still happen to me occasionally when I'm doing wall drills, and get to over zealous. LOL
I got hit in the head with a volleyball in my 13s year and one of my glasses lenses popped out

Playing middle and the other teams blocker had his arms too far apart. I bounced it off the top of his head and the ball hit the ceiling. I feel bad for that, but things like this happen to me all the time. I just shrug them off and continue.
My biggest lowlight was not being a good middle, but told to play it anyway. I was really late on the block, so I thought "why not receive it from 2m off the net." Fun tourney, but the team we were playing had an ex pro who fired one directly on the bridge of my nose. Ball went up, but we lost the point because my team was worried about me. I was disappointed. I have no clue why I had my hands down.
i had a tournament 2 days ago and i had like 5 one arm defenses in one game. i live in germany and am 12
The term for getting hit in the face when I was playing, was called getting 'six-packed'.
If you get six-packed, it is 100% your fault, whether you are blocking or digging. I say this having been hit in the face more than once.
during a game a ball came straight down so I pancaked it but instead of going straight up it hit my face and then my setter got it up by kicking my face and it was so emberassing
Kind of embarrassing but kind not at the same time, we didn’t have enough people at the school open gym to do varsity and jv courts for practice. Needless to say I (a sophomore who hadn’t played volleyball for more than a few months) ended up on the receiving end of a senior varsity player’s nasty jump top. The ball hit my face so hard it bounced a solid 50ft in the air and we played it for the point.
Omg my first game I tried to tip the ball but the op blocked it and it bounced on my head

In gym today there are a couple girls who know how to play volleyball (me) and some that are ok and we only had a giant volleyball and I ran into the collapsed bleachers trying to get it. My team got the point tho soooo

serving on the coach (or whoever) i disagree, it was 100% not aimed, entirely his fault for getting hit, both teams are lined up for serve hits, and that mf tosses the cart only to then walk in the middle of the court instead of choosing the safe route and push the cart under the net, leave on the side and then walk away outside the court. like, if you decide to walk into the rain, you should expect to get wet ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Btw I'm a setter now
