Muchas gracias.
Wow bro thanks this is the video I was looking for have seen many others videos but they where doing all wrong way... funny part they whr filling and checking oil level with side stand.. which makes no sense... and you the one did in correct way ✌
Thank you for the nice step by step oil change for the Harley Davidson Street XG500. Looking forward to feeling the gratification of changing my bike's oil myself at home. Others may be curious too as to what to properly do with the collected spent old oil?
Glad my video helped. Once you learn to do your own oil changes, you will save tons of money and knowing that the oil and filter was actually changed. As far as what to do with your used oil, I pour mine in an empty oil container and take it to your local auto parts store or any place that allows you to dump your used oil. I usually go to autozone or walmart.
Where do you put the transmission oil back into the bike... did the oil and transmission but don't know where to put transmission oil back in.. there was 2 drain plugs under the bike drained both.
Pretty good video! It works as narrative. I went to an auto parts store and bought a sheet metal oil catching sheet for the floor. It's about 3 feet by 4 feet.
Fantastic job man. Only thing I would add is to make sure that the gasket from the old filter isn't still stuck to the bike. That can have nasty consequences. It's not common but it can happen.
Love your videos buddy!! Thank you so much! I just bought my 500 and I watched another video from you and I bought my TAB pipe for my bike, thank you! Be safe buddy
Good video. Thank you that was helpful. Separate question for you, I noticed you mounted the mirrors on the bottom. Is that a thing? I'm struggling seeing out of these mirrors my shoulders really block the view
Thanks for your comment. Yes, I mounted the mirrors on the bottom "inverted mirror" because it helped me being able to see behind me much more. Also clears up your front view.
Thanks! For the mirrors I ended up purchasing aftermarket mirrors that had their own 7/8” bar clamps and installed them upside down. In my case I have custom 6” z bars so it made it easier to do.
I need to change the oil on my street 500. What are the specifications of the O-ring and the oil filter used for the street 500 motorcycle? Where can I buy it online?
Sorry, I dont have a video on the handlebar install. These were actually custom made from a fabricator. 6" Z bars, easy to install. Was also able to use stock cables. If you go above 6" you made need extended cables at that point.
I have a 750. My coolant reservoir was leaking but I can’t trace where the leaks coming from. I looked at the reservoir tank and there are two hose. One from the top that connects to radiator and one at the bottom. The one at the bottom has a loose end and it’s just dangling. Is that how it’s supposed to be??
@@FrankiesWorld my coolant just started leaking out. I looked and I believe it’s coming from the bottom of the coolant pump. Idk if it’s a bad gasket seal or what not. It slowly drips when bike is off. However after running on for some time, the drip comes out a bit more but still slowly. The drip then leaks towards the oil drain bolt. What could be the issue and fix? I don’t wanna get a new coolant pump $$ :(
@@awildgrendel7148 mine actually did that once when I first got the bike. I noticed when I parked the bike in my garage that I seen a couple of drops of fluid on the floor coming from the coolant side. I never did find out where it came from but it has not done it since. If the problem is on going you might want to take it to the dealer and have them check it out. Also, double check your coolant and oil levels.
@@FrankiesWorld oh dang. Yea I just noticed it leaking the other day. I bought the bike used at 4021 miles. Ive only put about 80. The guy who sold it to me did a full inspection at HD 2 weeks before I bought it. There was nothing wrongly I don’t do any mods. I filled it up with coolant but it slowly drips still. So now I left the bike in garage and tilted the coolant reservoir so the coolant isn’t wasted by leaking. Called the Harley dealer and it’s $141 to diagnose the issue...lord knows how much it’ll cost to get it fixed.

Should you check oil levels side stand
No side stands. Check it when the bike is sitting straight up for accuracy.
where did you get the windshield. I want one for my 15' street 500

What is the Allen bolt for?
The Allen bolt are for the cover plate that is in front of the radiator, it blocks the oil filter so you'll want to remove it.
Great video but harley wants you to buy another o ring because they charge you for it, if it isn't damaged or dry it should still be okay

That dangling hose to my knowledge is the overflow tube, so coolant can leak out if it’s too full.
