    4 levels of prayer:
    1. Ordinary prayer, during our daily activity
    2. Liturgical prayers, rosary & church
    3. Meditation, using imagination
    4. Contemplation, still, quiet & listening
The Holy Spirit can use all of these to conform us to Christ, if we let Him.

Please consider this prayer. It saves a soul & repairs 1000 blasphemies. Let us use our spare moments to save souls & mitigate the evil coming. GOD bless!

Thank you, Father! I have for some time wanted to know if meditation and mental prayer are one and the same, as some imply, or two different things. You have cleared this up for me most beautifully. Just what I needed.

3 Aves for the priest 🌹🌹🌹🙏🏻 and for Steve 🌹🌹🌹🙏🏻 that this channel may be for the Lord's work ✝️📿🙏🏻 Very helpful lecture. I'm especially grateful for the words I can use when I protest my school board and school district administration for bringing in a "donated" program that teaches Eastern meditation practices to the children. They say they've removed religious objections by removing the word, or term, "mindfulness." As a former Buddhist, I can see that they don't know what they're talking about.

Although the visuals are usually great, the "kite" discussed around 21:00 is obviously the bird, not the toy, lol.
Otherwise, this was a great summary, especially compared to the length of the book "The Ways of Mental Prayer," suggested by Fr. Ripperger.

If you can, read St Teresa’s Way of Perfection. Focus on her writing on the Our Father. It helped me to forgive myself from all of the distractions and truly pray. I read it 10 years ago and still can bring up its lessons to help me. The title sounds a bit difficult and not for ‘me.’ But she is well-versed in aiding those who wish to walk the path to God and eventually run!

Is “contemplation” an unconscious occurrence???? I ask because your description of the activity has happened to me , several times, but I am really not trying. As a matter of fact, I didn’t know I was contemplating. I became interested in this when I was reading some experiences by St. Theresa that are exactly like mine. It happens in a whim and in different forms. It’s very different but a sense that God (in all 3 in 1person) is all in and around that no evil can come around. There is no thought, no fear, no tears, no words…but a one on one. Nothing or no one bothers me. The world can come down and I am not disturbed. However, your description is one that one “practices.” How do I practice contemplating? Doesn’t it just happen? I know she says not everyone will be able to achieve contemplating. Shoot! I had no idea I was contemplating assuming I am correct in my understanding of the father’s description.

From my experience during mental prayer, contemplation just happens. After you’ve made those affections from the heart, you reach a stage when ur unable to make anymore affections, and you end up just in God’s presence, gazing at him without thinking or feeling anything.

One of the best explanations and descriptions I've ever heard of the last action and truest form of prayer, there is just one one thing missing repentance brings us through the the lower subtle egoic levels faster that is wevrealize more God is doer, and in that we are as separate beings unable to do good we are disobedient, thus this first step propel us to our knees first adnd allows the axnnihilatory power of God to work on our faculties preparing the ground for his visitation or purifying the soul inti usually a darker space as we emerge eventually through this to union of it is the wdhole and one might edven say only purpose of the Scriptures to facilitate this, movement entirely brought about by grace through faith.

    Friday, Week 34, Ordinary Time
    Daniel 7:2-14
I saw in my vision by night, and behold the four winds of the heavens strove upon the great sea. And four great beasts, different one from another, came up out of the sea. The first was like a lioness, and had the wings of an eagle: I beheld till her wings were plucked off, and she was lifted up from the earth, and stood upon her feet as a man, and the heart of a man was given to her. And behold another beast, like a bear, stood up on one side: and there were three rows in the mouth thereof, and in the teeth thereof, and thus they said to it: Arise, devour much flesh. After this I beheld, and lo, another like a leopard, and it had upon it four wings, as of a fowl, and the beast had four heads, and power was given to it. After this I beheld in the vision of the night, and lo, a fourth beast, terrible and wonderful, and exceeding strong, it had great iron teeth, eating and breaking in pieces, and treading down the rest with his feet: and it was unlike to the other beasts which I had seen before it, and had ten horns. I considered the horns, and behold another little horn sprung out of the midst of them: and three of the first horns were plucked up at the presence thereof: and behold eyes like the eyes of a man were in this horn, and a mouth speaking great things. I beheld till thrones were placed, and the ancient of days sat: his garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like clean wool: his throne like flames of fire: the wheels of it like a burning fire. A swift stream of fire issued forth from before him: thousands of thousands ministered to him, and ten thousand times a hundred thousand stood before him: the judgment sat, and the books were opened. I beheld, because of the voice of the great words which that horn spoke: and I saw that the beast was slain, and the body thereof was destroyed, and given to the fire to be burnt: And that the power of the other beasts was taken away: and that times of life were appointed them for a time, and a time. I beheld, therefore, in the vision of the night, and lo, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and he came even to the ancient of days: and they presented him before him. And he gave him power, and glory, and a kingdom: and all peoples, tribes, and tongues shall serve him: his power is an everlasting power that shall not be taken away: and his kingdom that shall not be destroyed.
    Luke 21:29-33
And he spoke to them a similitude. See the fig tree and all the trees: When they now shoot forth their fruit, you know that summer is nigh; So you also, when you shall see these things come to pass, know that the kingdom of God is at hand. Amen, I say to you, this generation shall not pass away till all things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

All Glories to God, Father! Praise to Lord Jesus Christ! Meditation in the Vaisnava order, the Faith in India and currently practiced Universally, that worships One God and the Trinity, on the contrary believe in a personal and eternal relationship with God. The practice that you speak of here in this lecture is taught on most other impersonal paths.
Ironically, in fact, Vaisnava Brahman priests who are priests as Catholic priests are, believe that Catholics do not believe in a spirit or soul.
