This is just simply WOW ...The models that I never even knew existed !!!
Yes they had their problems , some big and some small but quite a attractive cars ,
and they ran pretty well.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I went to the museum back in 1988 and absolutely loved it. To see so many more Alfa treasures is wonderful. Hopefully one day I can make it back to Europe and visit both the museum again and this wonderful treasure trove. Best wishes from New Zealand.🇳🇿🍀❤️
Glad you enjoyed it! Hope you'll do it, as now the museum is a much nicer place, well-taken care of by enthusiastic employees... As it should have always been!
Wow that Alfa that went from Scandinavia to South Africa that’s amazing
6:19 I own a 75 QV fom 1990. And I bought it with the possibilty to buy anonther black one, this one truely original with the original first paint. But I decided to buy the other black one with a great new paint job (far better than the poor thin first paint from the Arese production time), but all details on the car were black (only except for the trimlines in dark grey)! In my opion perfect! I decided to be the owner of one with the best look for this centro stile design (for me it is if the body paint is on all parts, especially the plastic ones) and I was so glad to see, that the last 75 was painted in the same way with all around body paint even on the bumpers (sadly with the coverage we can not take a look at the side mirrors). Thank you for this information gift. A great video. In this times, in which all cars were only badge carriers, it´s so sweet to look at design of this caliber in all kinds of variety. What a marque!! Black in Black ;- ) ua-cam.com/video/XwFLUUfrmR4/v-deo.html&pbjreload=101
Thank you for sharing this. I agree, the paint scheme of that 75 1.6 is the best for the model
@@Matteo_Licata So many missed opportunities: The black GTam with the 300hp engine is still a gem!! What a pity! And please, be persistent. The red Zagato GTV miracle must be a solved puzzle. The car is truly outstanding! Thank you for pointing this out and summarizing: Thank you for you work. It´s more than Alfa did in the last years.
WOW, what a trip, rare and important stuff, dream tour! Many many thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
amazing heritage of concepts gadgets and design firsts. Bravo
Thank you and welcome to the channel!
Un concentrato di emozioni forti...troppo forti! Propongo un'approfondimento per le best five. Voto per il prototipo procar. Complimentissimi! P.s. bellissima l'Alfetta Gt giallo piper (1.8, riconoscibile dal muso senza le feritoie). Grazie.
Wow - what a collections - thanks for sharing - good to know there are still pristine Alfas out there :-)
Thank you for watching :)
Not all the cars are pristine, but the Museum’s curators are gradually taking care of those that need work
For the person who put dislike. Im sorry your german car dont have such history. Greath colection, but damh that 164 pro car is too damh se y.
German car don't have such history? Really?? Come on man, I'm an Alfisti myself but maybe you should check out let's say Mercedes-Benz' history, for starters

Stunning collection...well presented, interesting and very well edited. Loved it thank you 👍
Thank you!!
What a fantastic insight into Alfa, loved it💖 such an array of beautiful designs and some not so🤪
😷👌
Beautiful cars...
This is a lovely video. What cars these Alfas are! I loved the Arese museum. Will never forget my visit.
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you!
How different and beautiful is without the front spoiler!
Wow! I want to see more of this!👍🤩
Me too! There are so many cars that it's impossible to take it all in :)
Awesome video. Thank you very much
Thank you for watching, glad you liked it!
Lovely video Matteo, very jealous you got to see these beauties in the metal.
Miss you on twitter mate..who am I going to chat about Zeta's with now!? 😔
Hope you're well my friend, lots of love ChodSpot xx
i love you broooo vivaa alfaaaaa
Thank you very much!!!
After a 67 Giulia super, 69 spyder, 71 gtv, 71 berlina, 72 berlina, might be time for another.
Bravissimo!!!
Grazie mille! 👌🏻
The Guilea the Berlina....are all had a fragile body .....younger generation never know the existence of this car in asia....I love those model when I was younger and own a Alfetta once...
I'll take the Z33, please!
I couldn’t go cos they would have to try and drag me out with my nails clawing right into the floor.
This has very quickly become my favourite UA-cam channel.
This comment makes my day :)
Thank you very much for your appreciation!
Agreed - Alfa Romeo, Lancia and Citroen have produced some of the most interesting cars in the past - but this rich heritage is largely unknown - until now!
John Phaceas Same! Absolutely live for these updates.
This channel should be a TV series on UK telly
I just bought a Brera...my first Alfa....so i'm currently watching everything Alfa.....never realised how beautiful the cars are until I bought one.
Congratulations and welcome into the Alfa fraternity. The Brera is an underrated car, looks gorgeous and it’s a great GT
You will realize that Alfa is not just a car but it represents original way of thinking to the car
@@Matteo_Licata I'm loving it more every day, just sold my Porsche and bought a more sensible car.....finding i'm looking back at my Brera a lot when i park up....never realised how much I'd love it.
@@studiocalder818 It's capturing me, its not the best example of Brera but it's definitely super sexy....I'm starting to realise the Alfa thing.
Wow for fellow Alfisti, this must have been akin to discovering the treasures in Tutankhamen's tomb. Excellent!
Yes, it's been quite emotional, it went beyond my best expectations. Thank you for watching!
Yes, sod old bits of gold buried in the sand, people find that stuff every other day but them cars are something else
When did youtube allowed porn?
😂
It should have viewer discretion for VAG people.
UNBELIEVABLE, I'm open-mouthed, this is a lot of information to digest. Thank you so much! As soon as the door opened and the Procar was there, it was obviously going to be fantastic. That thing was shown at Monza on the weekend of the 1988 F1 race, the noise of the V10 was something else. So many hidden treasures in this video. I need to go to Arese, mecca of the alfisti.
By sheer coincedence I read an article about the Montreal this very morning. It's in the present issue of dutch magzine "De onschatbare klasssieker" (The priceless Clasic). That white prototype must then have been one of the 2 which where actually shown on the Montreal World Fair. Then it will however have a small Guilia (?) engine. Very rare indeed. I must say that to my taste Alfa Romeo is the only brand that regularly seems to hit styling highspots during the last decades. If only I wasn't so attached to my XM. Oh, and the Coupe Fiat has also been tempting. It's too small to be practical for my freight hauling antics but stylingwise: Olala! Especially the yellow one! Vrooom! But I degress. :-)
Yes the two prototypes had Giulia Ti engines. Both still exist, but one was used in period for development work of the production Montreal, and it doesn’t get shown because it’s rather worse for wear now.
@@JULIAN8845 Must we assume you learned all this the hard way? :-)
Fantastic! I will make sure I organize a visit next time I’m in Italy!
Thank you for sharing this video. I paused the video so many times just to look carefully at each design. A shame that some cars didn't make it to production :(
Watched it three times. My favourites are the Diva (in my eyes far ahead of the final 4C) and, you guessed it, the Montreal design study.
This is so pinche cool , i like the Montreal prototype more than production model. I feel like a child after watching this video , i will have to watch it several times to see all fo the models clearly , what work of industrial art , bravo
Thank you very much! I’m really glad you’ve enjoyed it so much. Comments like yours fuel my motivation to keep making ever-better videos
Beautiful cars. A feast for the eyes. Thank you. Viva Alfa Romeo!
Perhaps it is fate that the world would stop temporarily...at the 110th Anniversary of Alfa Romeo...for ‘The Company’ to realize it has enough genuine fans worldwide to finally open its ‘secret garage’ to starving Alfisti around the world...we hunger for togetherness, identity and a deeper commitment to the Alfa Experience!
I’ve been in touch with the people at Arese who take care of the Museum and, while they’re slow in responding to my e-mails, I’ve seen they are true enthusiasts that love Alfa and its history. The collection is in good hands.
One of your best, could have watched an hour of these special Alfa's
Thank you very much :)
Saw the 159 Alfetta running at Phillip Island in 2010, I've fettled a Scuderia Ferrari 8C 2600 Monza in a workshop where a young Daniel Ricciardo was working on his Go Kart, also had the privilege of visiting the Arese Museum a few years ago. Would love to return and see inside the vault. Interested to know if they want a youngish, enthusiastic guy to help restore/prepare the cars? I'll bring over my 1750 GTV race car from Australia if they're interested. Just came across your channel and loving it.
First and foremost, thank you and welcome onboard! I'm glad you're enjoying my content! I don't know if they accept job applications but you can try! I'd gladly work there myself, only not as a mechanic, as I'm far better with words than I am with spanners :)
I've just discovered this channel and I'm really impressed with the contents, I have a great love for Italian cars and your videos cover this passion that I have, thanks for all of your hard work you put into creating these wonderful videos. By the way I have subscribed to the channel.👍
Wow, your comment has just made my day, thank you!
I'm so glad you enjoy my content, welcome onboard and I hope you'll enjoy the next uploads just as much!
I had the opportunity to visit this magnificent museum. Not only for Alfisti, but for car fans in general, it's a must go place.
Alfa sure strikes the design key strongly and passionately.
Congratulations for your channel, love it.
Kind regards from Portugal.
Well said! Thank you very much!
You mention busso engines repeatedly in this and other of your videos. I have heard this term before but don't know exactly what that means. Sorry I'm an American! How about a video about busso engines?
You're in luck, as I already got the video you ask for, here it is: ua-cam.com/video/xdD2RzZAglQ/v-deo.html
And people don't belive that haven exist, huh ? :D
Btw, you are so lucky you could visit this museum. The most beautiful place i have seen
So true!
The red Alfetta GTV6 3 litre was built by Zagato has a ZF front mounted gearbox that is why it has a large centre tunnel, the 75 Turbo Imsa is the ultimate evolution of the 75 Turbo Evo,with coil overs , special adjustable de-dion suspension on which the ES30 Zagato was based on.
That was very impressive, what a variety of cars. What surprised me most was the Indy Car engine. Had no idea Alfa was so engaged in US motorsports. Thanks a lot! Ciao 🙋♂️
Awesome! I visited the old Alfa collection while living nearby in 2001. It was hidden in some remote part of the Arese facility, you had to ask for the way. Once inside, I felt like a 6yr-old in a candy shop. 🤗
Been there back then too. It seemed like a warzone there at the time... The Arese plant is no more, but I'm happy that the collection is being taken care of.
A L F A R O M E O
What alfa brings to the table now will be attempted to be copied 10 years later.
Every styling every new technology will be copied by the "big" brands.
And then you have sales of these dream cars decreasing and I don't get why.
Great video, but can you please film the panning shots where the camera moves at 60fps? The video was very choppy and gave me motion sickness. Thank you.
Oh how I would love a night in THAT museum!😍😍😍🇮🇹🏴
I’ve purposely waited till I got home from work to watch this and my god it was well worth the wait . Like a hyperactive child with ADHD I was wide eyed and did not blink in fear of missing something special . I think I’m just going to watch it all over again . Plus I just noticed I have dribbled down my chin 🤤
Hyperactivity and ADHD are labels, invented by cunning mofos, selling zillions worth of snake oil "medicine". Get this THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU.
Your heart is at a good place my friend, Alfas are distinct machines, no other manufactorer has created automobiles with so much passion. If you don't own one, get one. I do.
Wow, I am speechless. Beautiful cars, what a vault... :) Quick question to Matteo: Is there a guided tour also in English? I unfortunately do not speak the beautiful language of Dante Alighieri... And how can you book such a tour?
You book by contacting the museum via e-mail. I guess they can offer the guided tour in English, but I haven’t asked, so I’m not sure.
Wow, che goduria!
1:03 The gold color model - Kamal prototype (2003). Why they din't put this beautiful model (even in this days) in the production? Year 2000 was start of SUV era in Europe.
One of too many missed opportunities for the Fiat Group... Small wonder they shrunk to irrelevancy shortly after
Sorry, I had to stop watching at about 4:30. My love of cars was started when I was a kid with a Matchbox model of the Alfa SZ and I,,,,,,,ever see what a man with diabetes does in front of a bakery? It's not pretty. ;)
7:56 WOW WOW WOW 🤩 That’s the real Alfa 4C or maybe even 6C. My goodness it looks phenomenal! Any addditional information on this car or a place I can find out more?
The red one is the 4C motor show concept car, while the blue and yellow ones beside it are production 4Cs
The 164 Procar was probably made for the same series as the 3,5 liter BMW M1 Procar that ended up in a cool one make series as an opening act for, you guessed it! Formula 1!
As far as I know, the M1 Procar one-make series had nothing to do with the proposed Procar championship Alfa looked to participate in.
Che bello questo museo Matteo !!! I thought the Alfa Museum when I visited mid 2000s was the best car museum I had ever visited.
It is much, much better now, and I’m very happy it’s being managed with real passion and competence
WARNING: Footage may cause cargasms
The GTV6 Proto has been built on Alfa 6 floorplan (with the gearbox at the front and De Dion suspension). The engine is 2.5 V6
Thank you for the confirmation!
GRAZIE MILLE for this video, its time you did a few videos on the cars in the vault!!!
Glad you enjoyed it. I'll try to make more videos from the vault, it's a good idea!
Thank you for sharing and thanks to the Alfa Museum too.
The prototype alfasuds could deactivate 2 cylinders while driving inside the city.
Guess what cars have this system nowadays..
Your videos are a treasure trove of information. Beautifully presented, Thank You so much!!
Thank you very much for your kind words! Glad you enjoy so much my work!
Fascinating! When I visit Italy one day, i want to go there with you and talk about Alfas! :D
That would be great 👍
Such an amazing collection! Thank you for capturing and sharing
The Alfa Museum is a little piece of heaven, should be named a territory of Vatican City.
The whole collection has actually been protected by the Italian authorities as a national interest. FCA can’t disperse it, sell it off or export it
A 4c with a 3.2 v6 paddle shifter , I want one!!
Yeah, the Diva was very much a precursor to the 4C. With the V6, it sure must have been a great drive!
I saw the saragat,75 evo and 2600 zagato last may at the museum. I would love to see the vault. Thank you for the video.
Absolutely gorgeous collection of cars.
Yes they are! I could spend a lifetime stuck inside that place :)
Last summer I was in north Italy for holidays. One day I sent the wife and girls to Milan for shopping and I went tonthe Museum. I had the greatest day ever, what a beautiful collection!
Pure design and mechanical engineering
That's a great video and a great channel. They will come
Thank you very much for your appreciation and kind words 👍
This is my favorite channel ..tq for the reviews ..
I’m glad you think so, thank you for watching and I hope I’ll be able to make ever-better videos in the near future
Such great Concept cars ✌️Such a great company !
We agree!
Great video again Matteo. What a tour of so many treasures. It must have been difficult to just spend limited time with some of those rare, interesting and some surprising vehicles. Salute!
The visit took around 90 minutes... But it felt like 90 seconds, given the sheer amount of cars to see!
The Guilea the Berlina....are all had a fragile body .....younger generation never know the existence of this car in asia....I love those model when I was younger and own a Alfetta once...
I remember reading about the svar and esvar alfasuds in 1992 in the book i bought just prior to buying my alfasud sprint 1.5 qv.. i drove my sprint today.... it was like it was 1993 again 🥰
Video fantastico. Sembrava di essere li! Grazie!
Grazie mille a te, mi fa piacere!
Cool, thanks for sharing! You made me realize I need go to the regular Alfa Romeo museum, as I have also been a fan of this truly Italian brand. And now I’m gonna look for your Alfasud videos (my first car was an Alfasud)
Wot a brand!
Indeed. Alfa's heritage is so rich it keeps surprising me
Lovely video Matteo. I went a couple of years ago and I had a strange feeling of emotion and sadness in the same time. What was the place from which our "alfisti dreams" where made today it's a museum. A lovely one, fair to say. Thanks!
Yes, I can relate to this feeling. Wrote a piece two years ago: www.roadster-life.com/post/viale-luraghi-arese
This is very very good..tq for the videos....
Thank you too! Glad you liked it :)
Another excellent video...grazie mille!
Thank you very much!
The bright red gtv at 4:30 has spider seats and a zender looking body kit. Interesting why they put spider seats in it.
That car is a mystery. I’ve inquired about it there and in two separate e-mails, but I never received a reply. One day I’ll go there and research that car properly!
U should also make a video about the first v10 ever made, the one under the 164 pro car
I would have a crisis every few minutes walking in the Vault.
No words
I need to visit, this place 🔥
Oh yes, it's a treasure trove for any Alfa lover!
I did not realise that any other car attempted the Cape Cold to Cape Hot run other than an Austin. This was undertaken in the early 50s. One of my prized possessions, from childhood, I still have the paperback book.
Another great video.
Thank you! It was a journalistic initiative, but supported by Alfa Romeo, which supplied the car and equipment at no cost. The driver was ex-F1 Giancarlo Baghetti
Fascinating viewing. A true treasure trove. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Matteo. Hope you are well. Great video. Keep us updated on the red GTV. It is very intriguing. The entire interior is different and even the seats which I don't recognize from other models. The silver GTV6 is a twin brother of my car. Exactly the same. Keep those videos coming and, if you feel like it, drop by Twitter and say hi to the guys. 👍
Thank you! Yes, I'll keep pestering the museum's curators about that car, I'm very interested too! The console is much taller and has elements from the Alfa 6, the front seats are from a Spider, I've recognized them... There are legends about that GTV6, but I want to be sure about everything before I put that info on video!
Well done!!! Excellent video!!!!!
Thank you very much! Glad you liked it!
Wow! What a wonderfull video! Thank you very, very much for filming it and sharing on UA-cam, I really find it very interesting and I've ask myself why the Montreal or Navajo -among many others- aren't on the permanent exposition.
The Navajo and the Cuneo should be displayed together with all the other 33-based prototypes, in my view. But it’s tough to make such choices, when you’ve got so many cool stuff to play with!
Wonderful video! This is heaven!! 🍀😍😍
Brilliant, thank you
Imagine other manufacturers keeping all their cars somewhere, what a depresive place that would be for many of them. 😃
I can’t help but notice people were wearing masks at the Alfa showroom. We appreciate your hard work despite the risks involved in making this video. Thanks and be safe
Thank you very much! The Alfa virus is the strongest of them all. There’s no cure, but thankfully it’s not lethal :)
Jokes aside, yes, for the time being you need a face mask to access the museum and observe social distancing measures. Things in Italy are thankfully under control now, but caution is needed.
such a great video! Congratulations Matteo and thanks for sharing! I really enjoyed and it was was like being there, despite of the distance...
Glad you’ve enjoyed it! It’s been a privilege, that place was a sensory overload :)
