Between the mini nightshade and the mini sheepdog, what mini takes the win, because I can find the sheepdog for 47 in one spot and the nightshade for 62 in another. What are your thoughts to go for?
Still have the comorant in 4V I think it was a blade hq exclusive, and Kizer actually did a good HT with their 4v at 64hrc. Shame they can't do a good 20cv, m390, rex45, s35vn etc. Their 154cm is👍.
Kizer hasn’t done anything exciting for a while, I have a couple of their lemons I need to send in for service. Kizer overcharges for features like aluminum scales and crossbar locks too. It was also really stupid of them to discontinue the Escort and put s90v on the stupid chili pepper. Escort in s90v would have been an obvious winner. So yeah, Kizer is stupid but Vosteed is still awesome.
That’s a very tough call! Maybe the Dogfish by a hair? When it comes to those two, I’d recommend choosing by which flipper tab shape you prefer. I know it sounds weird, but for me that’s the biggest difference, and I prefer the flipper tabs (front/rear) on the Dogfish.
that budget cormorant in 154cm is slick. personally i like 154cm over nitro v, how do they compare in your experience? 154cm should have more edge retention at the commonly seen heat treatment for 154cm and nitro v at right around 60hrc, is that your experience? how much is the difference in edge retention? because if it’s a small difference then nitro v would be better because it can make up for its lower edge retention with crazy low edge angles

Of the two steels mentioned I prefer 154CM over Nitro V, but my all time favorite steel is S35VN.
