Undercover copper Peter Bleksley tells his story.
Peter was the best undercover cop Scotland Yard ever had. In over ten years operating in covert squads, he came up against some of the most hardened, lethal and bizarre underworld operations, constantly putting his life on the line so that the deadliest villains would end up where they belonged: behind bars. A master of disguise, he assumed numerous identities in order to get close to his targets - drug dealer, counterfeiter, gangster and hit man to name just a few. So determined was he to nail his man, he would even have to take heroin or cocaine to remain above the suspicion of gang bosses.

This guy is a breathe of fresh air. Not saying my people does not commit crime but when have been screaming for the longest time the majority's are been fitted up and you look crazy when nobody listens and this gent confirms and makes sense of what was going on on the other side. Great interview James...as usual. I'm Canadian and have watched many of your vids and they are always top-notch brother. An eclectic group of characters and "Bleks" is no different. I actually read his book about 15 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed hearing his story from the horse's mouth so to speak. Great job brother.

Total respect peter, what a life you must have lived, i worked away for 48 yrs so led the ' two ' lives , learning how to compartmentalise emonitional stuff, never quite sure who you are, waiting lol for mondays new adventure.good luck with your mission im sure you will succeed, ..always intresting how meeting , in your case , the local copper at a certain age can change or give oppurtunities you could never imagine, another excellent interview Mr English.

@Scott Fraser I am sure a few did, but the comments and friction where still real.The 60s and 70s where no joke that includes the Irish community getting it ruff 60 yrs looking on nothings changed really except ppl fight oppressor and injustice singular not collectively and without any real issue except to jump on bandwagons.
@Scott Fraser Yes Scott postcodes slashed your chances of work, inner city living killed us, but you do what you must to move forward and partisapate in living. DC Bostals where places you'd be placed into then, for looking the wrong way beating you and fitting without justice nor appeal so always a good tone when I hear a ex detective admit it stunk of total corruption. Criminals have become more technique but so have the old bill. The dual edge sword never leaves one. I wish you good health wealth and peace Scott.

Very good guest. Spoke very well. As long as he is not racist or fit anyone up then fair play. Its cops and robbers and he was an undercover cop. James you have a gift of knowing when to speak and when not to. That is a hard thing to master. I wish Peter well.

Loved this interview... My old man was glasgow born and bred from Clarkston in glasgow and joined the Met in 73 at 17 as a cadet... He knows Peter, worked with him and watched this and loved it... As years went on he worked Flying Squad etc and knows Bleks very well and even he would tell you that... He said Bleks was top old bill and as straight as anything...

Fascinating talk well conducted by James. Peter is the kind of perma-cop whose tireless energy must be concerning if you're on the wrong side of him. A bit ego-y and self-referential but ultimately a real force for good, I could listen to his stories all day.
