Fun fact: The oldest wine bottle that is still sealed and retains its original contents can be admired in Speyer, Germany. It was a burial gift for a Roman (legionary?) 1,700 years ago.
And the worlds oldest drinkable wine in a barrel, is stored in the Bremen town hall, in the huge wine cellar (5.000 sqm) of the Bremen townhall, where high up visitors (Queen, PMs etc) are allowed to have a small sip of, is the "Rüdesheimer Rose from 1645" and the major and cellar master are the only ones, which have access and are allowed to drink it. 😊
Hallo Shabnam! I really like you as a host here! I am a Brazilian married to a German and we live here and in Germany. I love the Bavarian beer and the huge selection. Sparkling wine is really good and cheaper compared to Brazil.Drinks like Aperol spritz it’s bitter and not an option for me, while my husband loves it! I am always in shock when I am there and during festivals, they start to drink at 9,10 a.m ,something that it’s not common in Brazil. Prost!!🇧🇷❤️🇩🇪
Hey DW, i have an idea for a future episode: exploring the mediaeval history of Germany? I just saw an old episode where Rachel visited a castle and thought perhaps how mediaeval practiced and customs can be seen in today’s Germany?
Thanks to Shabnam, I first learnt about egg liqueur. And I tried it. The gluwein with egg liqueur at the Christmas fair was delicious😍. And the liqueur itself... I made the same face as Shabnam🙈.

I grew up in Argentina and wine is served with all meals. The parents would serve their kids a little wine and fill the rest of the glass with soda water. Apart from that, I learned how to drink Beer at a very young age in Argentina. The laws of the 1970's (ja ich bin alt) allowed teenagers to buy beer. I love the German wines and the German Beers! I found out that if you drink too much Jagermeister, you will eventually go outside and howl at the moon, like a wolf! Hahaha!! :)
Gleichgewicht 2. Geschmack 3. Gehör 4. Tasten 5. Sehen 6. Riechen Deshalb spricht man im Deutschen vom 7. Sinn.
I'm surprised and pleased to hear that Germans are cutting back their alcohol consumption. The industries that peddle this stuff are experts at covering up the negative effects - especially the wine makers. A little bit of alcohol may not ruin you, but zero is best, and those partygoers in the video prove that you can still have plenty of fun without it.

what i can say when drinking is to drink heavy or not at all, smell it, shake it ,wake the drink up then rinse it in your mouth

Isn´t glueh-/glow-wine and egg liqueur only for k i d s ?
Radler and Gluhwine it is !! Radler is a savior while socializing (ie you dont want to have beer but need to, just to socialize ;)
There's something wrong if you feel, that you need to drink alcohol.
Besides that, you could drink alcohol free beer or cocktails.
Ein helles Lager im Sommer kann man nicht schlagen.
In Nigeria, the Schnapps is the most popular German liquor while Heineken is the most drunk German beer
Heineken is not from Germany, though. It is a Dutch brewery.
Ich bin auf alkoholfreies Bier umgestiegen. Schmeckt mir genauso gut und mir geht’s besser.
Welche Marken schmecken genauso gut? Bin neugierig. Jever „fun“ finde ich nicht so fun.

However, consumption of alcohol has plummeted for faith and health reasons
And the German market's variety of nonalcoholic drinks is wide enough to attract even a few regular alcohol drinkers, right?
is it a drink or a pudding - Thants a good question 🤣
I found the taste to be similarly confusing too!
Who is this??? Where’s the host of DW ??
All i have to say and a few German friends agree with me that Jagermeister is the most foul German alcholic beverage ever.
My favorite is white beer. Unfortunately I developed an alcohol intolerance.
Sorry to hear about your intolerance. What's your favorite nonalcoholic drink?

Could be true! I found Jägermeister being sold in my neighborhood shop in India last month😂
The taste is Afri-Cola and Fennel and not Coca Cola😂

Why is this report presented by an Indian woman with a odd accent?
Because the British lady that preceeded her has gone to do something else.
Why not?
