I cannot believe how fast Damiani guessed that. I thought for sure it would take him to Link's reveal.

He already knew. If you watched latest friend code they speculate about the hint Nintendo gave and Damiani mention the Link's Awakening is what has been rumored since. Still a guess, but he had Link's Awakening as the first guess in the line since the podcast.

It's been rumored for a while actually but it hasn't happened so many times people began to think all the rumors were fake lol
It also matches the art from the photos you would collect is the DX version.

From the reactions I've seen online, people seem to be divided on the style they chose for the game. I think a lot of people expected a full on Breath of the Wild 3D Zelda lol. Personally, I like the style. I think it's cute and retains that feel from the original.
I don't mind the art style, i just don't like Links character model, i wish it was closer to the artwork of the original/intro.
I’m fine with the art style, but seeing that really nicely animated intro kinda makes me wish they did a cool hand drawn 2D style to match, but it’s fine. The game is gonna be amazing either way.
im not against making cool different artstyles for zelda games, im just not a fan of the plastic-y look. kind of a shame considering this is such an anticipated remake. they could totally use this style for a new, different zelda and id be more cool with it. oh well, we'll see, maybe ill get used to it.
There was a 2d version of BotW they showed off and it looks awesome. I’m fine with this style tho, it’s cute at the very least.

Link's Awakening being LITERALLY Koizumi's baby, I'm pretty confident he's not gonna allow anyone to screw that up. That was a good send off announcement for this Direct.

By the way, during the boss at the end(or was it a miniboss? idr), Link was using both the shield, the sword, and the roc feather at once, so we know that it's not just a direct remake since that was impossible in the original.
The most adorable part was the dude on the left who at the end started crying silently out of nostalgia and joy.
I'm amazed by how he could tell it's Link's Awakening from a second of storm. Lol

I don't know about you guys but I'm glad it's not just another Breath of the Wild re-skin. It's trying something different and I love it.

So psyched about this. THIS IS THE WAY ZELDA IS SUPPOSED TO LOOK. I was a Zelda fan since the very first game and Ocarina of Time completely wrecked ten years of beautiful design work. Suddenly everyone in Hyrule looked like ghastly muppet drag queens. Breath Of The Wild was the first step back to fighting the ship but this game looks like going home. Gorgeous.
Links awakening is the most underapreciated Zelda game and personally my favourite, a lot of people who never played it will finally get to see how good it is with this remake... although I think the new artstyle takes away from the originals charm and atmosphere somewhat.
At least it seem to be very underplayed but It´s still praised all the time, at least among fans & critics.
anab0lic LA is a 'good' Zelda game with a solid narrative, but it's too easy and that says a lot for the post-AOL Zelda games which were notably easier than their predecessors. The DX Dungeons added some much desired and required difficulty, but I'm assuming this will have a Hero Mode to compensate.

We had heard that they were doing a 2D Zelda and a new 3D Zelda at the same time. So we will get a sequel to BotW soon. In the mean while, we get a remake of one the greatest Zelda games of all time! So exciting!

I’m happy for those who never got to play this game, it’s a very solid Zelda game but I’m personally disappointed it’s not a new 2d Zelda game. At least the graphics are an upgrade of LBW. Somehow link is so expressive with a blank look, love it.

This reveal saved the Direct for me. I went in ready to get hyped to the moon for Fire Emblem but revealing its a Harry Potter Hogwarts Simulator really buzzkilled it for me. Thank God for Zelda. 👏🏼

Abraham M. They are not selling three different games. All three are on the same game, you just get to choose which one you do.
Abraham M. That is not what I got from the trailer, no. What I understood was that, at some point, you would choose a house to teach, but you would be able to choose the others if you started another play through. I’ll go look for a quote from the video and post it here. And now I’m going to speculate a bit based on what littles we do know. I think that the house you choose will not change the story a lot. I believe it will basically just be you choosing the lord you have for the game.

At about 2:45 of the new trailer the narrator says, “As a professor you will lead the students of one of these houses.” So I’m going to back on what I said previously about the lords it might be the entire team you have that varies and I suppose the story would vary more as well between the three houses.

The animation at the start was super cute and nicely stylize, Link was adorable but still aakind cool. Exactly the kind of style I want from Zelda.
Then they showed off the game and I was super let down, just went waay too far on the cute, toy like aesthetic for my taste and I was pretty salty.
I wanted cartoony people but I got realistic toys.

This was a Nintendo Direct, and as far as I (and I'm guessing most people) know, there's only one Nintendo developed game that starts with a storm on the ocean. It's not that far-fetched. In fact, I had the exact same reaction as Damiani.

Because the original game started with a storm in the ocean? When I watched the Direct, I caught on right away but wasn't sure, so I looked at my friend and said "If I see a boat I'm going to cry"
Not a fan of them animal crossing / funko pop art style. Was hoping the initial cutscene art would carry over to gameplay. Oh well I’m sure it’ll play terrifically.

Am I the only one who dislikes the art style? Kinda looks like ugly plastic, muted colors, Link looks like a toy or a doll... Anyone else? Maybe it will grow on me when I play it

@@tubbymeatball yeah there's no way I actually just don't like how it looks. It looks to me like there are some post processing filters which make the color palette more yellow and also darker.

I hate how the opening cutscene replaces Link's original character design with modern animu crap. Such a weab direct overall, ugh.
I haven't seen a side by side comparison or anything, but this isn't a huge departure. He looks identical to still art from Oracle of ages and seasons, which is more in line with young link, and Link's, over all, present identity in the world. What you're looking for would've had everyone going, "Excuuuse meeee princess." "I wonder what Gannon's up to." It might not have been bad, but surely; not as good.
@@storytellerjack22 You clearly never owned the original game then, or saw the original artwork. The original character design doesn't look like the Super Mario Bros. Super Show either, and it's a lot better/more sincere than this shitty new weab take. In any case, remakes should stay true to the original artistic vision of the game, like Ocarina of Time on the 3DS did. This visual update is taking a shit on history, trying to cash-in on a classic game to make bank on the shallow tastes of Nintendo's new Waifu Emblem fanbase that prefers this crappy art-style.
