Dude, I made house and techno back in the early to mid 90's. This is pumpin mad man, bad ass music you just made!. I actually just spent the last two days re-mixing 4 old house tunes of mine from 1994-98, one is very French house style, that's how I ended up here actually. Very cool, couldn't stop my body from grovin to it as it played, you got that magic touch for sure.

Lol, u guys are the equivalent of dad rock. Keep in mind that, at the time, it was something new. Today electronic music is well known to everyone and comes in various genres. We have techno and groovy house, as well as chill dance, drum n bass, psytrance and goa, acid house, and in Europe all of this is very present and people love all of that. Our times are the best ever for electronic music. It "sounds all the same" if you only listen to commercial dj sets and tracks which are made for the masses. It's like saying rock sounds all the same just by listening to ACDC

Whoa, you nailed not only the composition/arrangement, but also the sound/texture of the whole thing (pumping, overcompression, some "grit" like from older samplers and cheaper hardware workflows on both keys and bass). Sounds really like a rediscovered older classic French/filter house tape. :)

I love how you dissect the elements and theory behind different genres. I used to thumb my nose at genres, as they appeared to me to be restrictive, but over the past few years I have realized that knowing the rules lets the composing, arranging and mixing process be more about the music, rather than stumbling in the dark until something sounds good! The unstructured creative play is fun and valuable, but sometimes you just want to play with within a different set of rules. It's like painting with a limited palette.
