The brick holes are there for display arms to be plugged into, so if you want someone jumping/climbing/flying in the scene, you can plug the stand arms onto the wall directly.
Thanks! I just assembled my 4th neca street diorama and just watched this video, every time, thanks for making the assembly 100x much easier @TheReviewSpot. 👍
I think the holes where the bricks go are not only for add-ons, like he mentioned, but mainly for like posable display stands to peg into. If you have a really short one you could have a Spider-Man figure crawling on the wall or something like that.
This is a really cool diorama display playset. It would work perfectly for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Batman, Spider-Man, Freddy Krueger figures as examples. Sure, $105 may seem like a lot of money for something like this. However, there is the potential for a lot of creativity, which is very much appreciated. With that aside, thanks again Spot. I really appreciate the hard work!
As a base| ground for heavy customization it’s great! Add graffiti, ripped posters, trash bins or wooded plates for the windows. Out of the packaging it’s to empty....
A very underrated movie in this franchise, i thought it was original and different... and after a couple of movies, camp crystal lake gets kinda of boring.
It’s good they just shouldn’t have called it Jason Takes Manhattan. Also the face looks horrible and all of the stuff with little boy Jason is very stupid. If that was different you have a great Friday The 13th

I'm super sad I missed the TMNT themed one at last year's SDCC. I am glad they made them available for everybody though. I gotta save up for one. Hella nice dio piece.
excellent diorama review, enjoyable and easy to listen to. Is it possible to update the dimensions of the brick and door, windows for future customs to link to?
This is a great addition for displaying your figures. Marvel Select and some older Toy Biz figures had bases. Some Select figures connected to make a set piece like the Avengers. But this is so far beyond that. I'd love to use my Toy Biz Doc Ock with the bendable Ock arms and have him battle Spiderman. Maybe add Electro and Green Goblin. I can't wait to see what else they make. Great review BTW.
This is something that I’d really love to use for my Diamond Select Spider-Man figures. But the price point and it’s large size makes me hesitant, I’m really not sure I’d have the room for this.

Great review. I put mine together on Monday, had no problems getting the plugs into the backdrop. They were a little difficult to get in, perhaps i have an updated version with thicker pegs(?) I was a little disappointed this doesn't fit inside the IKEA Billy bookcase, it is an inch too deep, shame really. I will have to find a table to put it on. I will be turning it into a Marvel Legends X-Men diorama.
I've been thinking about using this as the diorama for the Neca Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II Secret of the Ooze action figures with just the nighttime cityscape.
I think the spots where those random bricks are placed are also places where you can attach a NECA dynamic figure stand. that's the only logical thing I can of why those brick holes are there.
Just saw a listing for this on Kijiji and it looks really cool, but also very expensive (was listed as 215 Canadian). Still, it's kinda tempting me... I primarily collect Transformers tho so this diorama is definitely outta scale for em. If each layer was 2 stories of a building that'd be a different story. Only figures I have that I can see fitting in on this is my Marvel Legends 80th anniversary Hulk and Wolverine
Glad I could help, I did make one mistake though with assembly, you'll see the back of the diorama, the slots on the sides of the top walls don't line up I had one wall going the wrong way and resulted in the pegs that attach to the city picture not lining up in some parts
Yeah tell me about it, its hard with things like figures especially, Canada's pretty behind to stock things that come out, I can either wait or try my luck on places like Ebay and in many cases pay double to get the stuff that the States already can buy for retail price.
Hmm maybe the intent behind the removable bricks was so you could peg the arms of a display stand in for dynamic posing? Just an idea but I don’t own this so not sure

The extra bricks also cover up spots that will most likely be used for future updates and add ons.

Unintentional ASMR... This set is pretty nice, with a custom color will be awesome. Greetings!

Do you think it would be possible to cut it in half down the middle?
It would be nice to have them spaced out in different cabinets.

Thanks for the review, just bought one
Is a awesome looking diorama but I wonder how it would look with some other type of action figures like the DC or some Marvel Legends
It probably looks fine
Yeah it would work with Marvel Legends which are a bit over 6 Inches tall, usually Neca Figures are between 7 and 8 inches
would it look fine with wwe figures
Kinda looks like stage 1 to double dragon on nes
Wow, you're right it does!
Definitely
I stick to my old fashioned styrofoam dios =)

Could you place the down spout in the areas where the "missing" bricks are? Just an option to move and customize?
