As a Philly fan, the truth is Ben never wanted to play in Philly… He refused to workout with them before he was drafted… He played well enough to get his guaranteed $$$… 1 year after getting that contract he’s on the trade block and says he doesn’t want to come back… I’m not sticking up for Ben, but it sounds like his plan is working out perfectly for him (especially if he gets to his desired destination)… I’ll put $ on it that he’s a much better player if he gets to 1 of those California teams 🤷🏽♂️

It's been the same thing for 4 years. Every summer Ben Simmons' PR team uploads videos of him making 3s in practice and then in the following season he practically never attempts them.

@@Akniy ok. Maybe he needed more time than others to work on his shot. Maybe it’s taken multiple off seasons for him to get comfortable with his jumper. Why is that a problem? Everyone has different skill sets, everyone’s growth takes a different amount of time. He’s 25 years old what’s wrong with his development taking time? I don’t understand the issue. He’s supposed to be a perfect player by now? No ones perfect.
@@westleystone6577 Well it’s not even about him not having a jumper. It’s about having the mentality to score even in the paint (which we know he could do at will). He doesn’t need a 3, but I reliable mid range would be solid
@@superQman600 well let’s think about scoring in the paint. Who’s in the paint basically at all times? Embiid. Last year Howard off the bench, this year Drummond. Is there any space in the paint with those centers? Not really. Ben’s best games and stretches of his career happened when Joel was off the court. Why? Because he gets 15+ shots a night and that dominant post presence became a stretch big in Al Horford or Mike Scott who posted up in the corners leaving Ben all the space in the paint he could get. So why didn’t they take the option on George hill and package him with some other asset and go get a stretch big which has shown to unlock Ben’s game???? Doesn’t make sense.

@@markmarks247 Oh I don't know how about the fact that he hasn't improved since his rookie year? In fact his scoring is worse. He is too athletically gifted to not improve. Which means he doesn't work. Too busy being a socialite.

@@markmarks247 He has always been an above average defender. I am not saying he isn't a good player. What I am saying is that he is lazy. If he was a hard worker he'd be a transcendent generational player. Instead he will probably never be more than he is now. A good player that is more interested in being famous than working on his craft.
