Interesting fact. The whole reason Freddy doesn’t get controlled at the start is because his error on stage rebooted him in safe mode. Computers running in safe mode have their wireless connections turned off. So glitch trap couldn’t connect to Freddy to control him.
Do the Chica, Roxy and Monty's parts turn off the safe mode or something?, or is Afton only able to start controlling Freddy because he is near him? One can wonder
Look at this guy, using actual science and intelligence when talking about FNAF, doesn't he know the answer to everything is "Ghost children" But for real though, that actually makes a lot of sense
@@ORelic no one turns on any coding, what does that even mean? if you’re referring to the running out of power thing, gameplay reasons realistically, because i don’t imagine when Freddy runs out of power within 10 minutes during a birthday party he murders the cake inside his chest. Also if you mean the protective cylinder thing, if glitchtrap controlling everyone made them aggressive and we’re supposed to believe it’s some code that turn off and on like you say, then why would they need a protective cylinder to begin with? just like in the vr games, if something goes wrong, they just get murderous for some reason… so again gameplay reasons
@@ORelic again, unless you mean that the others haven’t turn on safe mode, in which case… because they’re in perfect working order coding wise? and even when they’re broken their programming has decided it’s fine, like if you break your laptop’s screen it doesn’t just safe mode, you can still HDMI it to a monitor or what not
Funny fact about Chica. Due to her gluttony behavior she is one of the main animatronics that actually look through the hiding spots even if it didnt spot Greg prior. This could be her just searching for food. It helps to have that mechanic for her making it difficult to hide but easier to run since shes weak to every one of his tools compared to the other animatronics.
I’m pretty sure “Sundrop” and “Moondrop” is the name of the candy and not the actual animatronics. Since on the posters that say Sun/moondrop, it’s also says candy on it, advertising for an energizing (sundrop) and sleepy (moondrop) candy
the idea of Freddy being caring and compassionate after so many games of him being sinister is a change so radically different yet makes him actually THAT much more of an interesting character. I really hope they do more with this and more games have "caring dad" protag Freddy again.
A theory is that this Freddy is influenced by the spirit of Michael Afton, scooped robot zombie such that he is, the player character for FNAF 1 2 3 5 and 6 (and presumably big brother bully in 4), who burned with the pizzeria in 6's ending, the pizzeria under this pizzaplex. Seems Henry didn't burn the place down well enough since that molten blob survived, and enough of Springtrap's components were intact to revive Burntrap, so it's not unreasonable that Michael's spirit would refuse to pass on while his father continues to haunt the world. That is to say the situation with this Freddy is more unique.
I like how it’s cannonicly stated that music man never plays the same music and creates it on the go so he was chasing you while making some sick beats
This is like the most animatronics like I fink the security breach is like top of all the other FNAF games because of how much animatronics and the FNAF 6 does not count because they don’t jump scare exept for the scraps animatronics
Is nobody gonna talk about how strong Monty is? Like the only reason the bucket pushed him down is cause the catwalk fell, if it was solid ground he could have held it up.
I don’t think so. If you look closely at the clip of him with the bucket (16:00), then you will see that the bucket was gaining on him despite the catwalk falling. His body movement didn’t show that he could lift it. For example, his shoulders went down after carrying it for only a little bit. This shows that you can’t hold it as it is too heavy or challenging. Now, I might be getting this whole thing wrong. However to me, it looked more that Monty couldn’t hold the bucket up.
@@lucas_the_gaming_channel3781 ehh nah,I mean it’s not like he instantly had it in place,he’d need to get ahold of it THEN carry it,but he only got a slight grip off when the catwalk started breaking
I just noticed that Monty performs a death roll when attacking in his mangled form, much like his real life reptilian counterpart! I love that detail so much
One thing that’s cool is when Monty is in his mangled form if he catches you he seems to roll in the jumpscare animation which is the way that alligators and crocodiles eat their food called the death roll
Isn’t that canon? She was a replacement for Foxy and since Foxy was a fan favorite, both in the fandom and also assuming he was in the security breach universe. People kept asking where Foxy was and said he was better than Roxy.
I personally think the Daycare attendant is normally very good with kids as both Sun and Moon. But Moon was hacked to be stuck on a sort of security mode, with a glitched out punishment program on top of it. And maybe Sun is stuck in an after-hours cleanup mode and can't handle the Daycare being out of order when it's cleanup time(his own room is a different story). But also is glitched so Sun obsessively keeps lost kids in place so parents can collect them (or in Gregory's case, Vanny). Then all these glitched out programs conflict to make his behavior very weird and erratic.
isnt moon also obsessed with keeping thing clean? i like to think moon was originally was suppose to hunt down kids who wouldnt sleep and bring them back to bed and maybe glitchtrap infected sun/moon while in moon mode not understanding they are different robots in one body corrupting hunt to mean attack with sun coming too to find things very wrong and becoming scared of being moon again
according to the wiki, sun/moon used to work in the theatre and did a jekkyl/hyde act, but they changed their job to daycare attendent, but they couldnt get rid of moon so they just installed extra lights
@@KarmaTurnip I'm pretty sure that info came from the Tales of the Pizzaplex books. The Fnaf books are all questionable at best when it comes to their validity in game canon. So I would take that with a large grain of salt.
For me personally, one of the creepiest things in this game is the sound shattered Chica makes when she's chasing/looking for you. Where she's trying to speak but she has no voice box anymore...it's terrifying
The thing is Freddy actually isn't fighting the influence of Afton at all. The way the pizzaplex works, is that all main animatronics are connected to what they refer to as the "main network". The main network is what has been tampered with that gives all of the animatronics their hostility. The reason why Freddy doesn't hurt you is because he _isn't_ connected to the network. And that was due to his system crash on-stage in the intro that forced him to reboot in safe mode. Running in safe mode prevents him from connecting to the network. The reason why he kills you when he runs out of power is because his operating system prioritizes him getting to a charging station, thus safe mode being turned off, and connection to the tampered main network is reestablished. The only exception is DJMM, who was actually set in bouncer mode. That's why once power is restored to the fazcade, DJMM becomes completely harmless and just vibes.
@@i_i_hope_i_i Being a soul possessing something seems to grant some level of supernatural power. Michael had to go potentially decades possessing his own body, which considering some of the stuff he had to do, would've been impossible if he outwardly looked like a rotting corpse.
Yes! this! completely this, people are making weird paranormal theories but this explanationn is the best because use what the game is telling you, you are great
@@i_i_hope_i_i Perhaps afton is trying to disable safe mode on freddy, THEN control him. The safe mode is harder to turn off, se freddy can aid his system in resisting.
I feel like we all know that Sun likes to keep his place clean, mainly to keep the kids in his care safe & also to sort of teach them that while they’re playing, they should also keep their play area clean. It’s lowkey cute.
You know, considering a majority of the incidents in FNAF lore happen in the 1980’s, it’s cool to see that the Pizzaplex is actually 80’s themed. Almost as if Fazbear Entertainment is stuck in the past, failing to move on from the past. A purgatory of sorts
Roxanne’s personality in the game is my personal favorite, I feel like just telling her that helping you would make her ‘the best’ would get her onto your side pretty fast.
Nah, shes been taken over by glitchtrap. Even Freddy is constantly fighting glitchtrap unconsciously that's why he turn against the player once he's weak enough and glitchtrap can finally hack him.
I feel sorry for Roxy, Monty and Chica, considering that they are basically just "mind"-controlled to hunt Gregory and would have otherwise likely been just as friendly as Freddy.
@@WannabeWryter They didn't die tho, they are just very broken. And since Afton is once again dead that must mean that they might've returned to normal. But they might still be fucked because of all the damage done to them.
I honestly really love the Daycare Attendant (or Sun/Moon drop I guess). I feel as though Moon was never meant to be as "loveable" as Sundrop since he wasn't technically supposed to be around the children the way Sun is supposed to be. He was more of a security guard to help protect the children from any threats, while Sun was more of a babysitter to keep the children entertained. Also, The Daycare Attendant has bells on it's wrists to help blind children find them easier and they're both programmed with sign language. I don't know if that's cannon but it's so adorable.
Chica is my favorite in this game. She gives off creepy kidnapper vibes with her lines. The "who wants candy" and "You parents want you to come with me" are reminiscent of kidnappers and considering Gregory doesn't have any parents makes it even worse. Not only that but she has the most unhinged movement and actions. Compared to the others, she gives the scariest vibes. It looks like Vanny used Chica to kidnap children.
Hadn't considered that, pretty good point. Also is she the only one that knows Gregory's name? If she spots him her voice will change and she'll snarl "GREGORY" while chasing.
She also singsong calls to him by name, but yes none of the others call his name that I remember. Monty and Roxy call him only by the name of 'kid' as far as I remember. They do all have some traits that would portray dangerous people for children to be around. Monty, being a bulky, strong southerner with anger issues is not the kind of person a kid should be around. Chica, obviously, has her 'trust me, I represent your parents and what you like' attribute, and Roxy is seemingly somewhat based on the kind of person who does unhealthy things for fun and isn't respectful of anyone around them mentally, physically, or financially.
Headcanon: The reason Sun comes off as so possessive and overwhelming at first is that, to some extent, he knows what’s up. He knows he starts killing people when the lights go out, and since it’s late, they will go out eventually and his glitched version will take over. Him grabbing Gregory can be a tactic to distract him so he doesn’t try anything that would endanger him (like turning the lights off). I might also say that he talks creepy intentionally to scare Greg away from messing with the lights, unfortunately for him Greg is an absolute beast. In general the SB animatronics seem to be between fully human and fully robotic. It’s like, they do have some artificial consciousness/personality, but their free will can be very easily limited by their programming.
Funfact: there is 3 souls in sb too GLamrockF:Micheal afton Sun: Noah (idk his surname) Moon: Adrien (mlb vibes) And adrien and noah were twins before death
The 3 main enemy animatronics are honestly super sad. The fact that you can hear Chica crying if you stick around her long enough, or when Roxy is destroyed she cries too. It gives a bit of life to the characters.
@@blankslate6964 because it’s just the opposite pf suns personality lol. isn’t that obvious? also the animatronic are being hacked by william so thats gonna make them sound scarier
The thing is, Monty could have held up that bucket. It was just the catwalk that failed to hold it up. I think that's very interesting. Roxy's build seems very slim, showing that she's very quick and light on her feet. Chica has more of a normal build, as Toy Chica does. Also, the fact that Roxy freaks out after she's lost her sight, becoming more unhinged, is a good touch to the game.
The emails show that this isn't the first time he's had his legs chopped off by screwing around on the gantry with the bucket. Unfortunately he has the least depth of all the animatronics, but it seems the glitch caused him to engage in some kind of repetitive compulsive behavior. He keeps going up to the gantry and keeps getting his legs damaged.
@@kriegjaeger I wonder if it's connected to why Bonnie's not in the game. It's implied in a message that Monty had something to do with him being decommissioned (intentionally or not), so maybe he feels guilty?
Monty having a repeating self-harm trait but not being allowed to tear himself apart without something like the bucket doing it for him would make sense given all this stuff. Unfortunate that he does have the least depth of any of them, but he does still have some.
My favorite animatronic in Security Breach has to be the Daycare Attendant. The guy is just unique and the fact that he can switch out between day and night due to lighting is pretty impressive.
Tbh, I do like how, when you make a mess in the daycare, they actually show Sun/Moon putting those tower things back together. That's a pretty nice detail, normally a game would just pop it back together.
-It wouldn't work in this case. They would have to auto-jumpscare you or do something else to mask the fact that the tower goes back together, because the player has the possibility to look back at them at that moment, so it is easier to just animate the thing to produce a more professional result than to try to workaround an alternative to save one animation (or worse: show the actual popping in the player's face..). -Now, if you could guarantee that throughout a normal gameplay (w/o unexpected behaviors) you couldn't see the action (i.e if the game worked with fixed cameras or the distractions were triggered from a distance), that's when the devs would automagically "pop" the ordered version, with the npc just running to the place. tl;dr In game dev, animations or actions that aren't meant to be seen by the player aren't animated or programmed (you would consume resources for something that would always go unnoticed). There are a few exceptions to this, but it tends to be because of asset reuse / repurpose (or even easter eggs).
Roxy is by far the most interesting character the series has had in a while simply because, even though she is a machine through and through (not possessed like in the original games), she demonstrates psychological damage, in the form of narcissistic defense mechanisms. Some folks who struggle with self-esteem issues often bombard themselves with positively reinforcing statements until it can drive back their shame, often to the point where it comes off as narcissistic. On top of this, her saying things like "I bet you don't even have friends" is textbook projection of her issues onto others, as deep down she fears that nobody likes her, or at the very least not as much as they did Foxy. You can pick up on this when she introduces her main attraction at the raceway - the way she says "...nobody likes a loser." This coping mechanism, however, has rooted itself to an extraordinarily unhealthy point, and the cracks begin to show as the game progresses further. Her increasingly desperate cries of "Everyone still loves me... right?" and "I just need a little work done" indicate how much effort she has put into creating this perfect image of herself, and the moment it's ruined for her, and likely for her fans as I'm sure she believes, she becomes a sobbing mess. Knowing all this, then, I still have but one question - just how sentient are these animatronics? Demonstrating neurological disorders in a synthetic computer "brain", as it were, is both remarkable and terrifying.
Well we can't say for sure if the other 3 animatronics are possessed by anything. I think the best argument for why Freddy is not hostile when he's in working condition is that the spirit of Michael Afton is fighting off Glitchtrap's influence. When Freddy's power gets low or he's partially disassembled, then that protective influence fails. For reference, Michael Afton is the protagonist for many of the series' games, himself becoming something of a scooped robot zombie, before going up with the FNAF 6 pizzeria alongside Henry, William Afton, and everyone else lured there. It really needs to be stressed that FNAF lore is freaking weird, and half the main story is an evil zombie robot serial killer versus his robot zombie security guard son, featuring the little brother (who Gregory may be a robot duplicate of) who got his head chomped, and the sister who got eaten by Baby's ice cream dispenser who became malevolent due to their father's influence. In which case, this whole game becomes a metaphorical Afton family reunion, as it often does. Michael within Freddy protecting little brother Gregory from the machinations of Vanny/Afton (who migrates to Burntrap) and Vanessa as a stand-in for Elizabeth being accomplice to Vanny, not the same person.

Did you know that if you shoot a Pat-Pat with the Faze-Blaster, they will spin in circles for a while, and an animatronic that's appropriate for the location of Gregory will be summoned to kill him.
The staff bots resemble the puppet while the alpha staff bots resemble nightmarionne. It's just a fun detail i noticed, shows there was thought put in more than we give credit for.
Something I noticed about the alpha staff bots is if you really pay attention the mouth and tears are drawn on and not something they had originally, so it's likely Vanny drew them on. Why I'm not sure but maybe as a scare factor.
Fun fact: since chica doesn't have her voice box, its harder to tell where she is. And when she spots you, all you will hear is thumping metal moving towards you. Though she got slower. So it's a tiny bit of an advantage.
She's MUCH faster, actually. Also, she gets louder without her voice box, and that dramatic sound effect always plays whenever someone notices you anyway.
In all honesty, the Endoskeletons in the Basement of Joy of Creation were the best part of the game. Seeing them more properly modeled and given better AI in Security Breach blew my mind, and made the sections with them all the more terrifying and awesome.
Yeah it was at that point in security breach that I realized the game was a love letter to all fans of the series for both the main series and fan games alike, there are so many references and Easter eggs thrown around into the environment and I love it
Are you kidding me? Me and my friend spent 3 days on that part, granted yes their walking patterns and unique mechanics are amazing, BUT THATS FRICKIN HARD
One thing I found interesting while playing the game was you mess things up enough times in the daycare, you can hear Moondrop say his lines almost like that side of him is slowly taking over. Also I love how the Kellen plays Sun/Moondrop and Freddy so well 😊 he’s amazing!
I like the attention to detail with Monty. When he kills you while he is damaged, he does a roll. This roll is actually used by Alligators in IRL to make their prey much more easier to hurt.
@@SomeRandomName460 You’re not wrong but they’ll do it to something they are eating to tear off chunks they can eat. They don’t chew they kind of swallow it by throwing their heads up and letting the food fall down their gullets. from what i know, we did manage to free them however they don't stay free forever. as long as their killer, william afton remains in the realm of the living, they will not move on until he is rid of. and as William said himself: *I always come back.*
imo the fact that the Blob exists as an amalgamation of the souls William Afton killed is a poor retcon. as far as we know, by Pizzeria Simulator, everyone (aside from maybe Cassidy) had passed on due to the actions of Michael Afton and their souls were finally put to rest, so bringing them back because of William and Vanny's shenanigans is really upsetting. I don't have a problem with William coming back but at least let these damn kids rest 😭
@@thesimpostor6251 "The deepest pit of hell has opened up to swallow you whole, so don't keep the devil waiting, old friend" sounds pretty final to me. Hell, they didn't even get the fire damage right; Burntrap has even more Afton corpse in it than Foreheadtrap did... Somehow...
@@boxcarz ya true, I think if they were gonna go with the whole Vanny/William main villain thing, they should've went with something more like Vanny getting corrupted/manipulated by William like in Help Wanted, but instead of succeeding in bringing him back by Security Breach, the whole mission in Security Breach (and subsequent games) is to stop Vanny. also, there's no need for the Blob to be there lol
I just realised that DJMM is made up of 3 fears. Arachnophobia (Fear of spiders), Megalophobia (Fear of huge things) and Automanophobia (Fear of animatronics/figures)
I don’t honestly believe chica is the easiest animatronic to escape, each animatronic has a special ability to catch Gregory. Monty jumps that have no limit is seems, roxy dives and uses hearing to track Gregory, and chica teleports around you after being alarmed by the staff bot and find you in hiding spots
Isn’t it ironic how in the original, the kids were being stuffed in the animatronics, and in security breach, going inside Freddy is pretty much the main feature of the game Edit: I have never gotten these many likes/replies, so thank you, and also please stop fighting in the reply section
I like the idea that Glamrock Freddy is the only example we have of a potentially non-corrupted animatronic. As if this is how helpful and good natured that Henry Emily designed them to be in the first place.
@@ulmanis111 I mean he's kinda terrible to have as a daycare attendant if kids can't even play with toys without a big scary sun face pushing them out of the way to clean it up lol
Couple things to mention The reason the mini Music Man is all destroyed is because the Pizzaplex is built on the burnt down remains of the pizza joint from FNaF 6 Chica's non-damaged jumpscare looks to be based off her one from the first FNaF Monty's anger might be because he isn't loved as much as the other animatronics as he was a replacement of Bonnie

I just love that Freddy went from being the primary animatronic antagonist to a caring big bear who just wants to help. He is still creepy though when he stares at the player in the dark
I love sunnydrop a lot, u can tell he does a great job as the daycare attendant and if it weren’t for moon being activated by lights being turned off, I’m quite sure sunny would’ve protected Gregory w his whole being. If u see in his part when u walk away without doing distractions, sunny picks u up and takes u back to the circle area where u meet him, that’s mainly where kids play, so when u go near the desk he then follows u and takes u back, to the safe play area where u can’t get hurt, he gives activities and keeps things tidy. one of my favorite new characters, I wish he had more play time.
Monty’s really the only Glamrock animatronic with an actual boss fight. Chica and Roxy really only have deaths within *cutscenes* and only have chase scenes.
Also the feeling that you know these are the souls of children who were murdered and stuffed into these animatronics, and now you're killing them all over again
I feel bad somewhat too since they're possessed by William. They can't help what they do. If you've seen Star Wars, it's the same thing with the clones' inhibitor chips that isn't mentioned in the movies, but rather in Clone Wars/Bad Batch
Unpopular opinion: the endoskeleton jumpscare isn’t as scary as getting chased by them. Edit: due to popular demand, I will change this. *popular opinion
Sun and Moon are an analogy to the way the animatronics behave in most of the games. By Sun they’re friendly and engaging to guests, by night they ruthlessly hunt down trespassers. Afton getting eaten by the Blob might seem like a good ending, but let’s be real, he’s probably going to take over the amalgamation and come back more horrifying next time.
@@AlexTheAmiable the afton amalgamation is a completely different entity, its made up of trash and is controled by the afton virus. Burntrap is another version of springtrap or scraptrap. Edit: not trying to be mean btw
@@Synth3ticCan1n3 yes but it's said that the A.A is 15 feet tall and lives in the sewers and under ground with a similar virus of Afton which is what glitch trap is
I like to think that the main 4 animatronics were actually nice before Afton's influence, just like Freddy. However, in a way, Afton brought out their selves but in a twisted way. Chica is a kind, energetic chicken that Loves Pizza! But add the Afton factor in, now she uses her kindness to lure you to your doom and is a total pig that eats anything and will DO anything to get to her favorite foods. (you can even see a bit of her true self in the very beginning in split seconds, being the first to notice Freddy glitching out and the first to step up to see if she's ok. And again but for a brief moment again when she was being pushed to be crushed, truly scared before acting like a puppet again) Monty was the chill bro who occasionally loses his cool but in the end is a gentle giant after calming himself down, possibly to help him at golf. His Afton side, however, fully lets his anger lose, damaging anything he can. (we don't really see any glimpses of true self Monty through the game, he may be the one farthest gone) Roxy is confident, competitive, and a bit of a mean girl who will in the end still want to be your friend. After Afton, her confidence becomes a bit of what others say is narcissism, but looking closer is having insecurities, needing to praise herself or lie to herself to hold back those thoughts. Her competitiveness turns to the want for perfection, losing her mind if anything goes wrong, which clashes often with her insecurity. And her Mean girl attitude just gets worse with no friendship offered. (we see a bit of Roxy's true self very often. Although the scene with her crying is still her having self esteem issues, it's still her coming out, confused on how this is happening to her and showing frustration, although still on the hunt right after. and the most of her true self we see is her jealousy of the player getting to race her track before she can, although she jumped down to stop us to attack, but it could have also been because she wanted to race too, otherwise a puppeted Roxy wouldn't put herself in harms way) Freddy, as we can see from the gameplay, is kind, supportive, a leader, and often fatherly. We don't get to see a narrative version of Afton influenced Freddy, but using the past blueprints of how the characters change, my best bet is Freddy would turn into a pushy boss who shames you for doing things wrong, over prideful, and belittles you for being inexperienced. These were at least my observations using the company art around the Pizzaplex and the story around the characters. Wonder if anyone thought the same.
I like this theory, however...It is strongly hinted (but not confirmed) by the in-game messages you receive, that Monty got rid of Bonny, in order to take his place in the band. Before that, he was only the face of the golf court. Since it's safe to assume the animatronics got infected by the virus the same day we play as Gregory , I'd say he has some issues. We also see him vent. Sus if you ask me. I do wish it would be possible to save the animatronics as well though . The fact that they are made sentient makes me feel bad for them, and there is no ending as of now that confirms a happy ending for everyone... Then again, its a fnaf game (which arent known for good canonical endings), and a pretty rushed one of that. There are so many things they wanted to do, especially with Vanessa, but ended up scratching it to meet the deadlines.
@@dani22flore the issue with Monty destroying bonnie would be that they could just make a new bonnie shell and put it on an endo. something must have happened that caused so much controversy regarding him that he had to be removed (almost) entirely too bad we have no idea what that could be, nor will we ever
I think the moondrop character was actually a “Naptime bot” before glitchtrap. What I mean by “naptime bot” is when, since it’s a daycare the children would sleep frequently, so a quieter version of the energetic sundrop would be useful. Glitchtrap also has something too do with this too. Before him, Moondrop could have been pretty tame. (No red eyes?) Also, why would Fazbear Entertainment put advertisements of the “Moondrop Candy” if Moondrop wasn’t a friendly and well known character? Other info includes : A angry mum saying her child was scared of sleeping after the they went to the daycare. Would sundrop scare kids from sleeping, Or would the Glitched version of a “Night Time” bot scare a child?
Exactly and this is backed up by the message you find where the angry mom says that the nap time bot caused her child to be afraid of sleeping with the lights off !! I’m def certain that both bots play a role in the daycare !!
If we do get DLC, I hope we get... 1. A path where we don't destroy Chica, Monty, and Roxie, but we also release them from Afton's control. 2. A way to get unbanned from the Daycare and we get to hang out with Sundrop 3. Another way to help Vannessa and release her from Afton's influence. 4. Glamrock Freddy gets an unlimited battery after doing a task
Sun drops Daycare: the one where you get unbanned from the daycare. Freddys full charge: freddys unlimited battery. Vanessa’s Freedom: where you save Vanessa from Afton. Hacked Animatronics: where you free Monty, Roxy, and Chica.
There's actually something interesting about those "Crying Child" Staff bots, apparently they're more-so based on Nightmarionne and even their jumpscare sound effect is a mix between SB's and Nightmare/Nightmarionne's jumpscare sounds, I don't know what it means to be exact, but I do find it rather interesting!
I think its cool bc i think they want to make it so it seems they programmed them to say full words for the kids in the pizzeria that are Little children like 5 or 4 year olds that still dont know Shortcut speeches
@Projit to anyone that is seeing this, this is a reminder that you can report comments (and people!) like these as spam or watever is necessary. cheers!
I expected more from the game in terms of horror, suspense and jumpscares, but obviously, the graphics are stunning, I love the bright colors, and most DEFINITELY monty's boss scene that was terrifying ngl
I’m not entirely surprised it turned out the way it did, just because… Well, FNAF has worked based on the same formula for its entire run. Spooky thing runs at you and jump scares you. They just did that in 3-D form. Even if they had used degraded surroundings and animatronics throughout the game to more closely resemble older entries in the series, it wouldn’t change the fact that the core concept is still the same. And the problem with that is that jump scares wear off fairly quickly for most people. I think the central idea of making survival horror games based in the FNAF universe works. But, they need to revise their approach to storytelling to make it more accessible to people who aren’t lifelong fans of the series that know to go hunting in obscure places to figure out what’s going on. And, more importantly, as you alluded to they need to expand their concept of horror. As well as the way they build and maintain tension.
@@TerryTerius That's the thing though, it actually *is* effective at spooking the shit out of you. The Endos, general chase scenes, and *especially* DJ Music Man's bit overall. The Jumpscares arent scary, that's a given. What *is* scary is, again, those chases, the general tension. Just a note, it's not very cash money when you realize A: DJMM is the source of that music (which is your very own special "kill child" theme song), and B: *He skitters across the walls/roof.* And how large he is.
@@higueraft571 thats the scariest thing lmao, all of DJMM's music is improv, so my man literally had to think to himself "hmmmm what would go great with trying to murder a child"

I love how Scott completely changed how fnaf works, with instead of a flat screen, some weird cameras, and ok computer animation, we have first person adventure with awesome animations and interesting mechanics!

I think Roxy is aware that she is just a replacement for Foxy and that explains why she sometimes go through a breakdown and praises herself as a coping mechanism
Yeah, i was just thinking about how maybe the devs realized how much backlash the absence of Foxy (AKA most popular animatronic ever) would get and they decided to work that into her personality
good point but, if monty isnt replacement bonnie (bonnie has seperate stage) then i dont thinhk roxy is a replacement and foxy could have just benn unincluded in the pizzaplex
@@extrememonkey448 in the theater part or whatever it is there are movie posters with Foxy in them as the main character so he probably was in the pizzaplex at some time

According to lore, "The Blob" is actually molten freddy. You guys remember Eenard from Sister Location? Well from what I remember, that was all of the fun time characters put into one wired up animatronic after they were taken apart in the scooping room. Circus baby was in charge of that abomination and the others didn't want her to be so she got kicked out. Overtime, that abomination of wires became an a blob of wires, slowly collecting more parts and wires as it roamed around. Slowly becoming Molten Freddy. If I got anything wrong, let me know
@@scienceguy1165 After she was kicked out, she told the group that she would put herself back together and become much more than they could be, and then she became Scrap Baby, so yes.
You're mostly right, you're just in the wrong part of the timeline. After Sister Location the other Funtime characters kick Baby out of Ennard, she becomes Scrap Baby, and the other 3 become Molten Freddy, (Both of which appear in Pizzeria Simulator) and Ennard ceases to exist. The Blob is an amalgamation of seemingly every animatronic that has appeared so far in the series (With characters from OG era, Toy Era, and Funtime Era) all shown. My guess is that Molten Freddy is still "in control" simply because he's the one with the most souls.
I don't think Roxy is narcissistic, she probably has self-esteem issues, which is why she oftentimes compliments and hypes herself up while putting down gregory during chases and while searching to make herself feel like she's the best.
@@K4DETHB true, it'd be easier to call her narcissistic but it'd explain a bit better to say that she has self-esteem issues- since this video is supposed to look at the animatronics' personalities. for them to just brush her off as "narcissistic" feels a little like it's not doing much justice to roxy's character.
@@ethanliao2769 - I think it would have been neat if the animatronics pretended to be friendly while hunting for Gregory in the beginning, but later as the night goes on they then start becoming more aggressive and frustrated. I think a shift in tone would be pretty cool to see, or rather hear.
Of all the animatronics in this game, I felt the worst for Roxy. Where Chica and Monty seem to pretty much shrug off and roll with their new heavily damaged states, Roxy was in genuine distress. Every time I heard her crying or say lines like, "They'll still love me, won't they?" I would feel so bad for her. If she wasn't trying to kill me, I'd give her a hug.
Tbh I don’t think Chica and Monty were fine with their damaged states. Chica can be heard crying sometimes and can’t even voice the way she feels because of her lack of voicebox, while Monty was so badly damaged by Gregory I think he was enraged and that’s why he becomes feral afterwards.
Knowing Roxy has self-esteem issues makes me wonder if these animatronics have true AI sentience or if it’s the souls possessing them. From the way Vanessa talks to Freddy I get the impression that the main four are treated somewhat more like employees than equipment in certain regards so I think it’s the former.
That's a good point. Most emails do seem to refer to the animatronics by their names and acknowledge quirks or changes in behavior, but she has a straight up conversation with him, even bullying him. Could be pretty dark if they're sentient but subservient.
There had been theories that Micheal Afton (the big brother of fnaf 4) is the one possessing Freddy. Not completely as Glam Freddy still follows some protocols he was programmed to. But for the others, I think it is definitely interesting. At first I thought that they gave these personalities to entertain the kids more (assuming they won't go too far during performances) since having actual conversations with them will make them even more likable, thus stonks for the pizzaplex. But they're personalities seem too... human like? Roxy's has the most noticable being able to hear her cry, taunt you, and praise herself. I think the Afton Corruption (that sounds fun to say) has a small side-effect on even enhcancing these personalities. But hey! That's just a guess!
They are sentient and obv this is not the modern tech we see now Bruh if we have a fazbears mall ofc the animatronics would be sentient 1step closer to being human and that 1 step is avoiding virus and hackers
I always kinda knew that roxy had self-esteem issues. The "narcissism" just sounds like her trying not to break down crying. The sad thing is, when you take roxies eyes, all of the small bit of confidence that she still had just... vanishes. And for the rest of the game her dialogue just consists of crying , her saying it's " not fair" , and pointing out that she can only STILL hear him. It's actually quite sad but they pulled it of so very well.
The new springtrap model might be the best and the most realistic animatronic suit in FNAF EDIT: first of all...thx for the likes...second of all,I get it his name is burntrap lads
Okay, I get that people like to think that she's a narcissist, but seriously... the way Roxy is portrayed is far from that. She displays all the hallmarks of an INFERIORITY COMPLEX. First, when she's complimenting herself in the mirror, she's doing it as if talking to someone else. She isn't saying 'MY tail is beautiful' and 'Everyone wants to be ME', she's saying 'everyone wants to be YOU'. Even without that bit, she thanks herself, instead of saying something like 'I know' or 'Obviously'. And when she finally has her eyes taken, she's broken down mentally, and starts to cry most of the time because one of the few things she had left other than racing- that being her looks- was taken from her.
Some other people pointed out her improved vision would make any imperfection in her body very exaggerated to her. Also her "I just need a little work done.." is reminiscent of middle aged has-been stars addicted to plastic surgery.
indeed! and I kinda feel bad for myself, because I like to stare myself at mirror and say that, "damn I'm beautiful" (in my opinion I'm hot), but that doesn't make me narcissist (I'm not).
I actually love that you include the jumpscares. I had never seen DJ Music Man or mangled Monty's jumpscares before, and they're both really cool! I also love that you're showing the animatronics from different angles, like using the camera in ways it's impossible to see in the actual game. I already loved Roxy and thought she was awesome, but seeing her animations clearly (especially in her mangled form) was really cool
I personally love Roxy in this game. If you take the effort to analyze her actions, it becomes obvious that she has many insecurities. I imagine that it must be painful for her to say that "nobody likes a loser" in for the Roxanne Raceway announcement, especially since she sees herself as a loser.
@@Argenta_Rosa I wonder if her personality was always like that or if Afton's virus made her that way, like how Monty became really violent and aggressive from the virus
I think it's less that Freddy fought off the hack that everyone else is corrupted by, and more that, because he crashed and then rebooted in safe mode during the intro, he wasn't connected to the main network, and thus unable to be hacked in the first place. Given how Afton had to hack him directly during that boss fight.
Correct. Glamrock Freddy being in Safe Mode is what prevents Afton as Glitchtrap from being able to control him. He's there but can't do anything. That is indeed why Afton as Burntrap tries to hack him.
I’d like to point out the change in physique the animatronics have gone through. The original robots had wide bellies and thin limbs, but the Security Breach animatronics, as shown by their endoskeletons, have wider shoulders and a thinner lower body. Maybe this is to circumvent the problem of children’s corpses magically appearing inside of them?
I was thinking about that as well, but I still find it mighty convenient that Freddy has a compartment for pizzas and pinatas that a child can still fit in.
@@bumberquest3031 we know william made the funtime animatronics to kill children, so maybe one of williams followers is the creator of the glam rock animatronics with a similar motive as william, and would be the true villan of fnafsb.
I think it;'s like how all technology is gradually getting smaller haha, like compare an OG iPhone (or iPod!) to a modern one, or the classic computer monitor to a modern one ;)
@crimson I beg to differ. It is told to us that Vanessa was reccomended by a higher up at fazbear entertainment, despite her lack of experience and the many security staffbots in the establishment. I am pretty sure that fazbear entertainment is well aware of all the missing children and is most likely supporting it.
Correction: the sewers staff bots are called "staffbotnightmarionne" in the files. Nightmarionne's jumpscare can be heard when they jumpscare you when you fall. It also explains their faces and "in your dreams"
I noticed a detail at 21:10 or whenever the freddy jumpscare starts that his bowtie is purple... well you see every small detail in the fnaf lore matters, the yellow text changing from a dark tone of yellow to a brighter tone. And one more thing the mega pizzaplex was built above fnaf six... William came back, molten freddy came back. So of course Micheal would too. Bow some people think Henry possesses glamrock freddy, but henry didnt get injected with remnant. And he would rather go to heaven with Charlotte that stay on earth once more. And Mike would come back to finish of his dad and set himself and cassidy to rest and he was injected with remnant by the scooper so hes kinda immortalized so he would not just go to heaven, he needs to do what he promised himself to do and set the souls free.
Just a small correction, Roxy’s instrument is actually called a “keytar” which is a portmanteau of the words keyboard and guitar. It’s a fun little invention from the 1980s when they were trying to make everything look futuristic and space aged. It’s really not seen too often in this age and day. It’s probably going to be another hyped instrument that was invented, saw incredible popularity for a few years, and then is relegated to trivia books or museums of novelty instruments like the viola da gamba or the C Melody Sax.
The reason Freddy jumpscares you when he runs out of power is because his system priorities charging over everything else, so he goes out if safe mode and connects to the network so he can get to a charging station ASAP, this allows Springtrap to hack into Freddy and he get you.
@Easy Gamer ... FNAF is literally about dead 6 y.o children getting stuffed inside animatronic suits. This would be very much normal for the franchise.
I just realised that the band has unique traits that reflect their animal counterparts: Freddy: Kind and protective like a ”mother bear” or in this case, a ”father bear” Chica: Easily tricked and almost ”stupid” like how hen’s are stereotypically portrayed Roxy: Pounced and runs down her ”prey” almost like a real wolf does. Monty: is Slow but incredibly destructive and strong just like alligators in real life
Honestly I didn't expect this to be the case but I absolutely love the DJ Music Man bot That massive spider design that crawls over the walls and even inside them through holes As cool as the other bots are, I find the glamrock bots designs and the amount of personality they each have even in the smallest animation details and the animations of the sun and moon bots are very fun and playful, I just love how massive and powerful the DJ looks it makes me think of the colossi from Shadow of the Colossus
Ive assumed this was probably a styalistic choice to make the staffbots look less sophisticated than their smoothly operating counterparts, or perhaps a stopgap measure to achive that same effect in the absence of more time to make more sophisticated, and delightfully jerky animations. Animation playback like this, at 10 or 15 FPS with no smooth interpolatiom between keyframes is definitely a deliberate choice rather than jank, and having messed about with several game engines (including Unreal Engine which I belive this was made with) its a pretty fun effect to achieve, but never a default. However reducing an animation's framerate is also sometimes used as a performance saving measure, especially in many games where animated objects go further from the camera. Honestly, with the surpisingly massive volume of staffbots in the game, this could also be a reason or consideration.
@@NK-fh3st that's my exact take on the matter. Honestly I think that FNaF fans are just going to take any opportunity to bash the game for being bad instead of trying to look at it another way. I honestly liked the rougher animation for the staff bots but again people will just call the devs lazy
I think, lorewise, it'd be because they're made to run chores rather than entertain kids, so less focus would be on making them look natural and more focus would be on making them function as workers.
I feel like moon was actually a very friendly animatronic to the kids before glitchtrap, He was created to watch over children during nap time, and made sure the ones that didn't sleep at least kept quiet. Of course he gets a little more aggressive when patrolling the pizza plex but that's in case an intruder comes in. (Basically a security bot that's actually able to detain someone) But obviously with glitch trap...he got affected too...
Its interesting how much they used the animatronics 'personalities' to display mental illness. Chica clearly represents eating disorders: binging on food, even whe its in bad conditions and being so focused on it that nothing can distract her. Plus the fitness center where you eat just to work it off later. Roxy shows deep self esteem issues and maybe the beginning stages of serious narcissism. And monty clearly has anger issues. Also in the game you have to steal parts that are most important towards those traits: chicas voice box, where she loses her beak and can no longer eat, roxys eyes so she cant look at herself anymore, and montys claws which he uses to hurt others.
And the fact that you can't save them, leaving them as irredeemable jerks who just wanted to hurt Gregory just makes it worse. Like you're cutting the "toxic" people out of your life.
@@Breached18 Heh I worded that a little wrong. Sure toxic people shouldn't stay in your life but I meant like they are animatronics with bad habits who were controlled to hurt Gregory. Their implied mental illnesses show them as flawed, not just rogue machines. It was just odd to me that they humanized them so much, made Freddy defend them, only to simply break them all and never help restore them.
@@starrfall214 Maybe the upcoming Ruin DLC will have some focus on that? Going back to rescue them for Freddy who I think is just a head in the good ending?
Correction for monty: During some sections on which he's found outside of monty golf, he can sprint and outrun the player, even when they're sprinting.
Yeah one of the message note bags said that the person's child became extremely scared of the dark (apparently sun shared his lights on rule with the children) after being in daycare, but wetted himself when she turned the lights on...
As much as Steel Wool kinda messed up some of the game, in the sense of glitches and problems, they did quite well in creating an interesting world of the mall and the inhabitants. I think the designs and personalities is what sets these apart from the other FNAF games, where they aren’t just running on the same endoskeletons and code, and they have more than a different skin. They just have a lot more touches that you would find in a AAA game. It’s a shame they didn’t have that much time to play test and correct issues, as it can make it unplayable at times :(.
Imo supposedly the game is set closer to the modern day just with an 80s asthetic so we can asume that the technology used in the animatronics is far more advanced than the one available in the first games which is why they can have complex personalities and everything
Dont forget steel wool was rushed to finish the game by Sony. They had to quickly come up with things such as the comic styled endings, and other things which is why many glitches are apparent.
Something I'm curious about. Were the animatronics personalities always like this, or did they become like this after the glitchtrap infection(Monty's violence, Roxy's massive ego, Chika's hunger, that kinda stuff)? From the therapy recording sessions we hear the therapist say that something along the lines of the animatronics becoming more deadly and less delightful, or something like that. If that's the case, I'd personally like to see either a version of what the animatronics were like before the infection took over in a DLC, or a new ending where Gregory does something to release the other main animatronics from vanny's control, so they can fight with Freddy against glitchtrap, or something along those lines, just my thoughts
I love the new ending idea! To answer your first question I believe all of these parts of their personality were there just not violent. Like Chica’s hunger, it was always there but manifested in a love of food instead of a bottomless pit of hunger
@@maddox9691 Yeah it seems like the virus turned their quirks into actually fucked up character traits. Like it seems Chica was originally just meant to be a foodie, Roxy just confident and cocky and Monty just hot-blooded.
I feel really bad for the sunny side of the daycare attendant. Bro was so nice and he was rudely ignored by Gregory. I know it would be hard to trust an animatronic after being chased by them, but really Gregory? Did you HAVE to do what you did to the poor guy
So I kinda like the Endo's, mainly due to the fact that they do have actually move, and aren't just being moved closer to you. it's a small detail but i like it, helps make them feel like a real thing and not just a model being set to move a few feet everytime you look away.
it's probably just me but I also find the endos more creepier than the ones in TJOC. Something about their eyes just staring ahead blankly is kinda unsettling...
You can really see how strong monty is, because it wasn’t that the bucket crushed him, he was able to hold it, it was the floor breaking and him falling on the metal bars.
I like the detail in damaged monty's jumpscare, where he death-rolls you, similar to how real alligators kill their prey buy rolling around to kill it.
My reason for moons voice is, if parents where late for any reason moon would sing or tell stories in a soft voice not well for loud talking. I think his system was corrupted and given a old and raspy voice by vanny or william/glitchtrap. The corrupted system probably makes him dangerous for children, sun knows thats why he tells you to keep the lightes on. I am guessing how they found out is that a child was ingured after staying late, probably killed.
Game theory is overrated now. Dude has to do a lot of other stuff and he has his own like but this guy is a theory machine and is the best theorizer for horror games that I know.
Game theory is a bit behind this is because he found a glitch that softlocked him at 4am on the PS5 version before having to start from the beginning of the game
You and me have the same theory but it is all so possible that is the same for Monty he knows he's just a replacement which hurts his ego which makes him more aggressive ( I think this because I don't remember Bonnie ever being mentioned in the game through dialog or anything just like foxy)
@@rkane1998 Bonnie is mentioned a few times in the game through messages you can find. One message says that kids keep asking about Bonnie and that they're wondering where he is, which leads the staff to planning to paint over Bonnies picture at the bowling area. Another message says that Bonnie was seen entering Gator Golf at night, so many people think that means Monty killed him there.
Look at this guy, using actual science and intelligence when talking about FNAF, doesn't he know the answer to everything is "Ghost children"
But for real though, that actually makes a lot of sense
@TheRealShane then why would the others turn on their coding?
Due to her gluttony behavior she is one of the main animatronics that actually look through the hiding spots even if it didnt spot Greg prior. the idea of Freddy being caring and compassionate after so many games of him being sinister is a change so radically different yet makes him actually THAT much more of an interesting character.
I don’t think so. If you look closely at the clip of him with the bucket (16:00), then you will see that the bucket was gaining on him despite the catwalk falling.

Does that mean that he would
be under aftons influence after the first time we charge him?

You know, considering a majority of the incidents in FNAF lore happen in the 1980’s, it’s cool to see that the Pizzaplex is actually 80’s themed. Almost as if Fazbear Entertainment is stuck in the past, failing to move on from the past. A purgatory of sorts
And, judging by the Burntrap ending, FNaF itself is also stuck in the past, no matter how pointless it makes everything.

I thought she says “Your parents are looking for you”
Hadn't considered that, pretty good point.
Also is she the only one that knows Gregory's name? If she spots him her voice will change and she'll snarl "GREGORY" while chasing.
@@BongBong-Gaming She does lol
@@kriegjaeger well the others are not trying to have a friendly kidnapping tone are they?

Sun and moon even do it differently!
You can pick up on this when she introduces her main attraction at the raceway - the way she says "...nobody likes a loser."
This coping mechanism, however, has rooted itself to an extraordinarily unhealthy point, and the cracks begin to show as the game progresses further.

Yass girl twinsies ✨💅💅
I like to think that the main 4 animatronics were actually nice before Afton's influence, just like Freddy. However, in a way, Afton brought out their selves but in a twisted way.
Chica is a kind, energetic chicken that Loves Pizza! But add the Afton factor in, now she uses her kindness to lure you to your doom and is a total pig that eats anything and will DO anything to get to her favorite foods. (you can even see a bit of her true self in the very beginning in split seconds, being the first to notice Freddy glitching out and the first to step up to see if she's ok. And again but for a brief moment again when she was being pushed to be crushed, truly scared before acting like a puppet again)
Monty was the chill bro who occasionally loses his cool but in the end is a gentle giant after calming himself down, possibly to help him at golf. His Afton side, however, fully lets his anger lose, damaging anything he can. (we don't really see any glimpses of true self Monty through the game, he may be the one farthest gone)
Roxy is confident, competitive, and a bit of a mean girl who will in the end still want to be your friend. Although the scene with her crying is still her having self esteem issues, it's still her coming out, confused on how this is happening to her and showing frustration, although still on the hunt right after. and the most of her true self we see is her jealousy of the player getting to race her track before she can, although she jumped down to stop us to attack, but it could have also been because she wanted to race too, otherwise a puppeted Roxy wouldn't put herself in harms way)
Freddy, as we can see from the gameplay, is kind, supportive, a leader, and often fatherly.
This theory makes a lot of sense
so freddy would just become the "terrible job supershit" meme, good to know
@@LoserLilith i was about to say the same XD
@@dani22flore the issue with Monty destroying bonnie would be that they could just make a new bonnie shell and put it on an endo. something must have happened that caused so much controversy regarding him that he had to be removed (almost) entirely

(No red eyes?)
Also, why would Fazbear Entertainment put advertisements of the “Moondrop Candy” if Moondrop wasn’t a friendly and well known character?
Other info includes : A angry mum saying her child was scared of sleeping after the they went to the daycare. Would sundrop scare kids from sleeping, Or would the Glitched version of a “Night Time” bot scare a child?
That makes sense
Good idea!!
This could also be backed by the fact that there are ads of Moon advertising the moondrop candy.

The Endos where terrifying especially in the bowling alley
I liked how terrifying it was yet when the battle starts he winks at you and says "rock and roll"

If I got anything wrong, let me know
I thought baybee became scrap baby
I don't think Roxy is narcissistic, she probably has self-esteem issues, which is why she oftentimes compliments and hypes herself up while putting down gregory during chases and while searching to make herself feel like she's the best.
yeah but narcissism can sometimes be related to self esteem issues so you aren't really wrong but aren't right
at first glance she does seem like a narcissist but then as you get to know her then yeah she does have self esteem issues
@@K4DETHB true, it'd be easier to call her narcissistic but it'd explain a bit better to say that she has self-esteem issues- since this video is supposed to look at the animatronics' personalities. for them to just brush her off as "narcissistic" feels a little like it's not doing much justice to roxy's character.

well Venessa said she notified the animatronics, and she knows Gregory's name, so I'm not too surprised that Chica knows his name
@@ethanliao2769 - I think it would have been neat if the animatronics pretended to be friendly while hunting for Gregory in the beginning, but later as the night goes on they then start becoming more aggressive and frustrated. I think a shift in tone would be pretty cool to see, or rather hear.
@@Keyfur91 I mean technically Chica did have a shift it tone
Or how he just kicked her beak of
@@ethanliao2769 actually she didn’t know Gregory’s name until later on in the game (I’m pretty sure)
It might be a remnant thing
They are sentient and obv this is not the modern tech we see now
Bruh if we have a fazbears mall ofc the animatronics would be sentient 1step closer to being human and that 1 step is avoiding virus and hackers
i think they are sentient, i mean, security breach probably takes place in the 2040's considering that fnaf 3 takes places in 2033
I always kinda knew that roxy had self-esteem issues.

I agree!
Oh that poor evil robot mascot wolf woman.
indeed! and I kinda feel bad for myself, because I like to stare myself at mirror and say that, "damn I'm beautiful" (in my opinion I'm hot), but that doesn't make me narcissist (I'm not).

Its good to see im not the only one who loves Roxy xd
I personally love Roxy in this game. If you take the effort to analyze her actions, it becomes obvious that she has many insecurities. I imagine that it must be painful for her to say that "nobody likes a loser" in for the Roxanne Raceway announcement, especially since she sees herself as a loser.
@@Argenta_Rosa Roxy makes me so sad. I want a DLC where you just give her a hug and maybe some therapy.

I feel like this is more of a thriller story game then a horror game.. and I kinda love it
I’d like to point out the change in physique the animatronics have gone through.

It's funny how the staff bots are the only bots in the game that seem to move at a lower frame rate than the others
They just didn't have the time to animate them
I think it was a stylistic choice imo
I feel like moon was actually a very friendly animatronic to the kids before glitchtrap,
He was created to watch over children during nap time, and made sure the ones that didn't sleep at least kept quiet.
Of course he gets a little more aggressive when patrolling the pizza plex but that's in case an intruder comes in. (Basically a security bot that's actually able to detain someone)
But obviously with glitch trap...he got affected too...
@@starrfall214 I mean... its best to cut toxic people out of your life, you made it seem like it was a bad thing
