24:40 In India and also in Korea there are many films that want to entertain. I think when a film ends at entertaining, it has failed. A film must go further if it's to help us figure out the difficult issues we encounter in life. When a film is just entertainment, is simplifies things only as 'good' or 'evil'. But a film can do more than that, it can be art that unearths human secrets. Our hypocrisies, our ironies... those kinds of secrets. This, to me, is the future of cinema.

15:59 The plant is identical. It appears the same and has the same name, 'jakyak', and 'mountain jakyak' in Korean. Though they appear the same, you'll die from eating one of them, while the other is medicinal. It's like this with Korean medicinal plants. Our lives are similar to this. We don't always know which decision is the correct one. But we have to use our wisdom to choose. The choices look the same but are completely different.

14:50 It's a metaphor for life. There are good and bad things in life. In nature, there are beneficial plants we can eat and plants that will kill us if consumed. In living our lives, we need the wisdom to be able to discern the difference.

9:50 Humans are created from the genitals, from sexual desire. This is a fact of life. Why is it that humans don't realize this? That's what the smile is about. That ultimately, life is born from desire, and maintaining that life causes us to hurt one another. That's the secret of life. The last smile is one that says, "I know the secret of life".

21:00 When the man apologizes for having sex, the monk says it happened as a matter of course, as an ordinary result of natural desire. Humans express themselves sexually when there is desire present. Though he didn't stop them from having sex, he stopped him from leaving. Upon his later return, the monk asks, "didn't you know that's what life is like?" Attachment leads to rage, rage leads to murder. When people become lovers and an attachment forms, they want to possess the other person. If there someone else enters the picture, jealousy and rage develop, leading to murder. The monk expresses that though the desire and the sexual act are natural, they must be handled with self-control.

+BB Zhang 5:01 - There are all kinds of statues of Buddha, and he chose specific one in the movie at the house. Near that Statue - A knife is visible. According to Kim, he says that it's an ironic and a contradicted juxtaposition between the good willing from the statue of the buddha, and The knife.
-In details, he is saying giving more details about what is the symbolism of the statue and Knife.
Not only that, he says that it also refers to the juxtaposition between "A piece of penis" and the statue as well.

+Minwoo Park 8:47 Kim argues that human has two kind of different emotional status in summary. Happy and sadness, the tears is referring to sad, as well as the smile is referring to happy directly. He says he specifically focused on the human facial expression in order to show the interaction between the characters in a non-dialog film.
