Great video, one thing I would like to hear is a mic test in substandard conditions. I'm a laptop gamer, which means that I have some loud ass fans right behind the mic. So it would be helpful for me to hear a worst case scenario with the PC fans maxed out and the case placed closer to the mic.
Just bought this from Best Buy for $34.99 on sale. It took some time messing with the filters on OBS, but I was able to get it where it wouldn't pick up any background noise like a fan or keyboard typing. Really good mic.
Great content! I would suggest that when you recommend us looking at a budget friendly boom arm. That you also provide some links to a few. Maybe when you make the review video you could suggest a few options from the hyper x and the razer mic. Have a good day!
Thanks! Yeah, good suggestion. I would link some, but I don't want to recommend something I have not tested. I am going to look into some budget boom arm options to test out and then review for you guys.
@@robertzicas4315 I love it! It’s really good & the sound quality is great. My mic needs are very basic, mostly for Zoom calls and for it to be portable enough to travel with. It’s sounds great & is lightweight so I can’t complain.
Should I get the solocast or the quadcast? Is the difference in quality significant or barely? Im trying to build my first setup and i dont know which version provides more value for their price points
@Caleb Thornton that would definitely be great. Was thinking through this whole vid 'wonder if he knows any good budget boom arms?' Would appreciate that vid for sure dude.
@@CalebThornton oh definitely. That's probably where a lot of the costs are cut. The build quality being less premium and with lighter mics in general that's an issue as you know. But considering the price tag, you can easily grab a $15/$20 boom arm from Amazon to fix the issue!
I need help pls, i need a mic that i can have out of frame, the best example of what i want is (just check any dark souls video from "the happy hob") clear sound without noise gate as we can hear the controller, idk if u edited the audio but this seems to be what im looking forPLS HELP
Cranking it up to 100% input volume (macOS) my voice is barely audible. The distance is 5-10 cms. I tried recording using the built-in mac audio app and some Zoom and WhatsApp Desktop calls. Same result. Everything lower than fully cranked up input volume means it's inaudible. Is that normal?
Is this mic compatible with the Lenovo Legion 5 laptop? I tried the Roccat Torch mic which didn’t work with my laptop that’s why I’m asking before buying now lol
I have the mic connected to a mic stand with a wooden desk and I have a extreme vibrations with my keyboard is there any way to remove vibrations without having to get a boom shock
Yeah, I think it might be better. The nicer thing about the Seiren mini was just that it had a built in shock mount, other than that though this seems like its better. Will have a comparison video soon though.

Good Idea, I will have to do that for my next mic test. Thanks for watching!
I got this ordered I been having trouble finding microphones with my pc. But i hope good results. :) Thank you for the review.
Hey! Is it okay if you can tell me about your experience with this microphone? I am looking to buy one
Super underrated bro you deserve more!

Ah the autonomous Ergo-Chair 2. I see you are a man of class as well. But yeah great review, purchased this mic on sale for $35! It's working great
Great review, really clean setup too. What’s your PC case?

Great video. thanks for the help.
Thanks for watching! Glad it was helpful 😀

This looks pretty good!
Yeah, not bad at all. I need to do a review on a budget boom arm now. Cause these mics would really benefit from this.
@Caleb Thornton that would definitely be great. Was thinking through this whole vid 'wonder if he knows any good budget boom arms?' Would appreciate that vid for sure dude.
@@CalebThornton yeah for sure
Good to know you guys would like that. I will look into some options for review.
Good Job!
i love your videos!!!
Thank you! Appreciate it the support
@@CalebThornton :)
Hey great video!
I also want to know which one would you recommend if I have a boom arm and a shock mount also a pop filter
This or the seiren mini
Hey that sounded pretty great
Yeah, It was not bad. I was pretty impressed, could really benefit from a built in shock mount though.
@@CalebThornton oh definitely. That's probably where a lot of the costs are cut. The build quality being less premium and with lighter mics in general that's an issue as you know. But considering the price tag, you can easily grab a $15/$20 boom arm from Amazon to fix the issue!

How can I connect this mic to a camera? An adapter?
Was wondering what mic do you recommend for a ps5?
Do you know how I can connect this to a DSLR?
Quad cast or solo cast for best sound quality?
Quad cast I think it pics up less vibrations
quad of course. solocast is a cheap alternate for the quad so the more expensive model if you want the better quality
Your PC looks so cool.
Thanks :)
Wow the vibration is more extreme with your 60% keyboard.
Yeah, I noticed that too. I was surprised by how much more vibration was caused by the bottom out on my other keyboard
@@CalebThornton gotcha
Does it work for xbox
I have the mic connected to a mic stand with a wooden desk and I have a extreme vibrations with my keyboard is there any way to remove vibrations without having to get a boom shock
you cna tilt it 90 degrees it works for most people
The constant vibration banging makes it unusable for me.
U need to test it on ps5 so we can hear the real sound
Does it Work on xbox
no
Me Watching this after buying it
😂
First does it work on Xbox and second you sound like Austin evens
No it doesn’t work on Xbox unfortunately
Looks better than the Razer siren mini

lol
agreed lol
