Thank u for the informative video. So, I have a question : How did he go to the State at first place ? The visa thing ?

Hey Simran, he went to Texas state after he got selected with the H1B lottery in the first shot after MS. Got lucky 🙂 like many. Sometimes if someone doesn't get selected then they have to try alternate routes like possibly getting on H4 + EAD if spouse has an H1B with i140 signed so they can work. Sometimes when this is not possible too then they can take a job at NGOs or community clinics for the year and then have other employer file for an H1B for the next cycle. Community center jobs don't need H1B lottery. But they have less pay.

However if you are asking about the the visa for preceptorship( for which one has to apply online and have some requirements like TOEFL etc ). Once accepted, request an i20 which can be used for getting F1 visa.

Nice video. Very informative. I am interested in prosthodontics, i have been out of dentistry for quite some time and couldn’t get back to it for years but i worked for 3 years in a dental lab in Canada as i immigrated there.
Can i still pursue prothodontics in the US as i have been out of touch for so many years. Is there a link you can share to explain the admission process. Do US universities give admission to canadian citizens

Yes Mo Soon, you can apply. Infact you can mention your experience in the lab being a major factor for you developing interest in Prosthodontics in your SOP 😊 Now a days you may need to give some extra exams before you get in though depending on every program. So try to identify some of the universities you might be interested in and I can attach
      some links. 😊

@@DrSamthedentisthomie i think i will have to take the adea pass route but i am not sure if i will need to sit the INBDE exam before applying for admissions. And again i am confused between stipends and fees. Definitely would be great if you provide a link. Can you enlist the exams that have to be undertaken. Thanks in advance. So nice of you to startup this channel. Appreciate it

This is for example. It tells all the details about the exams this program will need for international programs and has info about the stipend situations as well. It may be different for each university and you would need to check them individually based on your criteria of choice of universities 😊www.dentistry.uiowa.edu/prosthodontics-graduate-program

This can be best seen for yourself by checking your specific location/company etc on websites like Glassdoor, indeed etc. I have also shared some estimates here and you may check that if you would like some conversions or comparisons in general. ua-cam.com/video/mjEzjBGJJa8/v-deo.html
