Not to mention better impact,adr,kdr and everything.

Never seen Faze getting eradicated in finals, in the biggest stage like this. Donk is simply unreal, every players who has reached their peak consistently were all awpers, therefore it's very captivating for us to see how he's able to achieve such ludicrous rating just by the rifle, you know his value already when shiro dropped his awp, just to give an AK to him. Biggest stage and made all the biggest star in faze like it's nothing. ☠️

Wow. Just wow. One of the greatest teams in the world, possibly the best team when it's playoff time, and Donk and Spirit just dumpstered them. 3-0 finals, 5-0 in total over the entire tournament.

This kid is on a rampage. I haven’t seen anything like this before. Only question is can he keep up his form consistently. If he can, my god this team has the potential to create an era like Astralis.
Well keep in mind that he is quite new to the play scene. Eventually people will eat out his strategies and will be able to combat them fairly easily. He does seem more like an aim uy rather than a strategy one in general, so my guess is that he most certainly won't predominate this intensely next time.

Everyone talking about sh1ro and donk but man magixx was the joker turning every bad situation to Spirits side when needed the most.
Yea, there were moments for everyone on Spirit. But Donk just had way more moments than anyone else. 30 kills higher than Shiro who was 3 kills over Ropz and 10 over Frozen across these 3 maps in the finals. I mean, that doesn't need much explanation as to why they're talking about Donk. Even his average damage dealt was 40 points higher than Ropz as the 2nd highest. Dude was a killing machine.

But mad props to rest of his team mates. Every one of them had awesome moments. Finally, even though I am not a Faze fan, it felt bad seeing Karrigan getting emotional. I'm happy that sh1ro won, but holy shit I feel so bad for artfr0st. He has to watch spirit win a tournament he could've won with them behind a screen while being stuck in Parivision with washed up players (Patsi and qikert), a terrible player (x5) and an igl who's been very disappointing so far this year (Jerry).
sh1ro was top 3 player of the event with ARTFrost they dont Win this also spirit leaned a lot of things as a team from sh1ro lmao

He seems kind of washed. Also, we don't know if Jerry joining cloud9 was ever an option for him (unless there's something that I don't know about).

They could've still won with artfr0st since he's extremely good and was their 2nd best player before sh1ro replaced him. Also, sh1ro was a literal question mark when spirit signed him since he sucked at the first cs 2 event with cloud9 (IEM Sydney 2023) and was underwhelming at Blast Premier Spring Groups 2024 as an awper, whiffing sitters. Thankfully, he got better at this tournament and won it with spirit.

Shiro is the only one here, who had success on the big stage, so they needed his energy and mentoring and he had a lot to prove. Shiro is just the ideal awper for this team. He's not jealous, consistent, intelligent and experienced.

Tied with Niko I think. But this is donks first time on a fucking stage. This really is the most unbelievable performance in the history of the game
For an Elite Event and tier 1 tournaments. Tied with NiKo at ESL One New York. But Katowice is an elite tournament unlike New York. Donk also had a bigger sample size.
More context: NiKo had 1.7 rating across 5 maps on ESL ONE NY when he was on Mousesports. donk had 1.7 rating across 12 maps, with 6 2.0+ maps (2 in the Grand Finals) in this tournament

As a faze fan, big congrats to donk. Kid is insane, the smoke kills were very sus but apart from that he was just a force to be reckoned with. Adn chopper positioned him very good in both mirage and nuke on ct side where he can peek and rotate anywhere he wants. I was sure that Faze wont be able to hold or take a site he was in, the kid was having the presence not even Zywoo or s1mple has. Mirage was a heartbreaker but thats the beauty of the game, you win some u lose some. Hope this wont effect the team that much and they can go forward. As for spirit, give credit where its due, yes in mirage donk seemed mortal but that first map he was a god among men. Magixxx stepped up big time in mirage, but I have a new fav player today; zont1x. The man does everything, and he is so calm and collected. A perfect player for any team u put him in. I was already a fan of him after the blas t tournament but him showing everybody the finger when they expected them to break under pressure. GG wp for both teams

If I try to explain the smoke kills, the first one on the Nuke 4th round is right next to the container and a common spot. Next one is tricky tho, I think he might've been calculated the terrorists walk after his first kill then determined where he would be.
On the overpass where he killed Frozen, it became a bit clearer when we saw his pov. Which he was wildly spraying. I haven't seen the balcony kills and wonder how they occured. When I watched the donk pov from the first Faze demo I could feel that this was a great player and nothing seemed suspicious.
For xont1x I completely agree, it is like xyp9x reincarnated. Calm and smart player like him.

Donk's performance was crazy/legendary on its own, but the fact that he did this on his first big event just makes it even more unbelievable. I couldn't believe my eyes watching that little goblin wipe faze in the finals. Every player of Faze just looked gutted to the bone playing the last map.

1 map lost in the entire tournament, and that was off the back of a 1v4 clutch by Wonderful. Perhaps the most dominant tournament run since Faze at ESL New York 2017.

That was crazy. Sad for Karrigan. Donk was something else. He looks like he is 11 years old (I know he is 17, but he looks so tiny). Some of his smoke kills were a little suspicious, but overall what a monster. The rest of the spirit team was fantastic as well. Faze couldn’t but together a consistent strategy to win rounds. I fell bad for faze going to so many finals and losing badly against first with vita and now with spirit,it would be so heart breaking for them. Also congrats to spirit🎉 for winning kato and donk with arguably greatest individual performance in cs history.

I am guessing - Donk is like that new player whose style of play nobody is used to .. there will come a day where he will no longer be considered a "different level player" and be the usual one among the T1 pros . The other players will analyze and figure out his style and find ways to counter him, as it has been with many players in the past . Its just a matter of time. He cant keep donking forever. There will always be someone better than the "best" .

Donk is either one of the best players of all time, or he has something that allows him to get the most insane smoke kills. His two kills through smoke early on Nuke blew my mind. It’s either him being insanely elite and well prepared for faze or he has walls of some sort. I have never felt like a tier 1 player was sus until this. But no one could cheat at a grand final with people standing behind him screen watching plus his entire system being tracked, right?

I feel like most teams attending the tournament were really out of form. All players from vitality underperforming, Navi just a mess, astralis with no coach, falcons also not adjusted to the newly formed roster, cloud9 with no sniper, g2 underperforming. Can’t say the same about mouz, EF, ence. Faze were somewhat good against spirit but also worse than with twistz. I don’t know, it feels like most teams weren’t at their best and I think there’s more to expect. Obviously, spirit are beasts rn, but I reckon that it’s not that long till others catch up. After all, from what I’ve seen, spirit’s mostly about getting openfrags, aggression and bulldozing with momentum. They also have pretty good teamplay in terms of trades and map control but their game is based on risking high for high reward. You can literally see donk dry peeking or pushing and getting away with that. I hope other teams will catch on to what spirit are doing and punish these high risk plays. Props to spirit and donk, they’ll go a long way. Hope astralis will get more competitive in the upcoming events

@@donH022 I’m disappointed with them underperforming and while I acknowledge that spirit are much better right now, you can’t say that the teams don’t look much worse than before, not only against spirit but in general. You can’t really say that vitality are not out of form when they lost to ence and heroic. You can’t say that g2 are playing good. Astralis are not even through play-in. A win is a win and a loss is a loss but I do really believe that most teams didn’t perform their best
