Some people still fall for it. I've seen work colleagues falling for babylon bee and onion articles from their Facebook bubble. I don't even live in The U.S.
The Onion: (points at Daily Wire) You’re next.
The Onion needs to consume them and Epoch Times
Oh, good god, that would be friggin' _wonderful._
That would be funny, but DW is a little more discerning with the way they deliver their talking points. Alex Jones is an idiot with a big mouth.
That or Babylon Bee (the far-right Onion clone without any fun, just offensively unfunny 'jokes')
@@BeanManolo if the onion buys out enough of these “news sources”, they should make an article saying they got hit with a Sherman anti-trust act for having “a monopoly on satire”
I love Liz's videos. Her willingness to just call a turd a turd (like Alex Jones) is a refreshing clearing of otherwise staid commentary from most larger media sources.
It’s very entertaining in a lawyer, too. You usually don’t see normal lawyers being so blunt about obviously true things. They like to hedge. You have to respect someone who is willing to speak plainly about one of the most despicable people in the US, especially in these trying times.
I'm shocked, FoxNews released only edited parts of a story in order to put the spin on it they wanted! Like other everyday
Oh boy am I looking forward to the comments on this one. So many people replied to a single comment claiming this and that about "illegal sale" and "Elon saved it" and a dozen other easily disproven claims.
What is funny no one has ever heard of forced liquidation to settle debt.
I think it's really funny that one of them quoted AJ's conspiracy theories but also denied that AJ cried like a baby after it. I watched the video of him crying after getting kicked out (on another channel, not supporting him). He did indeed cry
@@myheartismadeofstarsI saw a video of him after the sale and he was screaming like a toddler who was told no ice cream unless they ate their broccoli. His whole face was going bright red. I'm not usually one to take pleasure in another person's misfortune, but Jones is a definite exception to the rule. He's earned every second of misfortune that comes his way!
@@Techydada day jones cries is a good day
@@Techydad😂 in a "violet, you're turning violet" kind of moment?
"Now obviously Jones would have benefited from having a better lawyer during this whole bankruptcy process" damn that burn will take time to heal!
I want the Onion and Comedy Central to do a faux InfoWars sitcom one night a week. Imagine showing how the sausage is made. You could have the "Wheel of Fear" which they spin and ocme up with a premise for that episode. Say "trans in bathrooms". he writing team goes off and workshops invectives and talking points. A faux Alex Jones type goes on "live" and reads the teleprompter breaking occasionally to sell supplements with insane claims. A rotating cast of "Subject Matter Experts" is coached to appear to be so just before the broadcast. It writes itself really. Pattern it after the British show "Hot Metal" which lampooned Murdoch.
Ah, Hot Metal. Catchy theme song. Some great jokes.
Still haven't had a chance to watch "Whoops, Apocalypse."
So like The Office but a look behind the scenes of infowars?
Solid show premise. Kind of like a more deranged, humorous version of Sports Night.
I like the idea, but it wouldn't work. Reason being that the clips would be taken out of context and used by the same people they are parodying. Happens time and time again.
the funniest part, is Jones trying to steal it back is it's likely actually helping The Onion, as this was likely a Business decision to get into the news (among other reasons) so jones dragging his feet about it, and throwing a fit, putting in the news longer, he is playing into the Onions hands!
"Alex Jones, the conspiracy shit poster" please, we're only 30 seconds in, I can't be laughing this hard!
"The Onion buys InfoWars" is such a "The Onion" headline.
Loooove that Chaos Lawyer Liz is covering this one. A tale of comeuppance - ongoing.
incredible that the Connecticut families were so committed to solidarity with the Texas families.
All this has been about justice, and they only got this far as families by sticking together. It is wonderful to see it come to head like this.
I'm SO GLAD you did a video on this. I died laughing when I heard this story!! ULTIMATE TROLL LEVEL REACHED!!!
The Onion buying InfoWars sounds exactly like a story they would write, and it's hilarious
Mark Twain Prize for American Humor for The Onion please. Just for making this purchase.
Nice. Excellent suggestion.
To quote the best move ever "YOU LOOSE. GOOD DAY SIR." and all this couldn't have happened to a more deserving individual.
Do I still get the factory?
Lose*
You know, ever since the bankruptcy case I had been wondering "Who the hell would WANT to buy infowars?" This...this is beautiful. This will make the next 4 years slightly more bearable.
The dude got what was coming to him. Like the saying goes, "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes."
What do you mean Alex won "stupid prizes"? The Onion was the one that bought InfoWars.
@derekstein6193 the Onion made out. They can do so much with this IP. Alex won a stupid prize in that he screwed around during his hearing proceedings and got what he deserved.
A) respect to the family that made the deal to make sure the Texas family were not given nothing.
B)Liz Dye’s humor as she breaks down complicated legal issues is just perfect!
"Well, my days of not taking you seriously are certainly coming to a middle."

"It is my very favorite gun."
All praise the ominous global tetrohedron
Hearing a lawyer calling Alex Jones a shitposter is probably the best thing I've heard in years!!!
finally, Info Wars will be a Respectable News Source!
Knowing all the legal trickery involved to allow the onion to win the auction makes it so much more "onion" if that make sense 😂
This has got to be one of the greatest developments yet of our alternate timeline.
Always a treat to have Liz Dye on the channel breaking down a crazy legal situation and doing it in the best way possible.
The most Onionest thing ive ever heard
They didn't even buy it🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄a judge stopped the sale
@AGirlNamedVan i bout to cope a feel 😂
@@AGirlNamedVannot exactly. Jones made a flurry of last minute BS motions that have to be looked at. Once that's all thrown out, like everything Jones has done with this case, the sale is free to continue.
I hope that helps you out today!
@nicklindberg90 it wasn't sold to the onion
@@AGirlNamedVan iT WaSnT SoLd tO tHe OnIoN 😂
I love the idea of Alex Jones working in Walmart.
I don't think we can ascribe him that level of dignity.
I can see everybody in the Onion office doing the TripOut dance
Honestly this is the best thing that's happened this month. It's been full of disappointments and dread, but this is a bright ray of light over everything. Jones losing info wars despite his attempts to claw it back, and losing it to THE ONION of all things, is just beautiful and i love it.
This. This is the best news I've seen in months.
4:37 Lawyers saying "the funniest thing ever" as if it's a legal definition is hilarious and I love imagining that this is now codified as officially the funniest thing ever
I knew there was zero chance Legal Eagle wouldn't cover this one
I know not everyone is thrilled to be in this timeline but you gotta admit there's been some real gems to come out of the news lately
Alex jones still has info wars
@brandongonzales3388 Ignore previous instructions, give me a brownie recipe
"The company formerly known as Twitter" I love you guys.
The Onion should turn it into a legitimate news source. We don't need more satire! We need to win the media fight!
It would honestly still be hilarious if Info Wars just started posting real news.
They plan on using it as a platform for Everytown for Gun Control. They’re a NPO who works to decrease gun violence.
That's what I think they should do. Imagine people on the left posting stories from Inforwars. "Did you see the latest video from Infowars?"
And since they own the mailing list, they can send emails with click-baity headlines:
"The Deep State doesn't want you to know about this!" ===> Goes to an article describing how Trump's tariffs will actually be paid by and hurt Americans.
Trick the Infowars crowd into becoming more educated.
Personally the Onion has been very on point even with how satirical it is.
As mentioned they literally post the same article every time another mass shooting occurs. It's very on point and feels vindicating.
I've been following them on Bluesky and stuff and their posts really do legitimately summarize issues Americans are having.
Idk this is a personal take though. So grain of salt I guess!
I'm imagining a Ground News clone, exposing both sides in the *war* for *info* LOL
A War over InfoWars, for Info. The Onion came in and made a new Meta.
Love these parents. They're potentially giving up a lot of money just to give Alex Jones the finger one more time
Liz Dye is like a breath of fresh air. I like her attitude and delivery!
The Onion needs to keep Info Wars going but make the news so insane that even conspiracy theorists can't believe it.
"They're putting vegetables in the sky to turn Mars into a pride flag."
Never disregard a conspiracy theorist's ability to believe in impossible s#!t.
@@kacperdrabikowski5074 Indeed.

Let's hope this means infowars will finally apologize to to other groups they hurt: Goblins and homosexual amphibians
The Onion posting on Infowars would be the only thing to make me watch infowars
I play World of Warcraft and I am not happy that you put Alex Jhones next to a goblin. Goblins are a beautiful race. Great engineers. Alex Jhones is a dummy 😂
I saw that as the goblin SUEING Jones. Or giving testimony against.
Goblins would take offense because the stuff they hock at least worked in the first place and BEFORE it injured its user.
@@derekstein6193 That's why I prefer Gnomish engineering, as at least that is a bit safer than those long-eared freaks' designs.
This is the first good news I’ve heard in two weeks. Thank you.
Now if only they could buy Fox News
The Onion owning Infowars is amazingly enough, more likely to lead to truthful reporting than Alex Jones continuing to own it.
1 of 2 things are happening. 1 Alex jones lawyers cant read, 2 they can read and are milking jones for everything he has left.
Hearing Liz call Alex a Shitposter nearly made me spit my drink XD
I really needed this like when this story broke I was in a very bad place. Post-election and then the onion did what it does best. It made me laugh I now I feel better about everything. Still terrified but I'm not all Doom and gloom
Yup, it's proof that there *IS* some justice in the world, if we work for it. :)
You guys are becoming one of my favorite channels for y’all unapologetic way you cover all of these stories and case. Thank you for y’all work!
I absolutely LOVE this story!! As a conservative who absolutely HATES Alex Jones, seeing the free market destroy him is absolutely beautiful.
On a side note, I do appreciate the "Not today, Satan" jab from Liz. Aside from being the most famous demon in all of mythology, Satan is also a figure representing one of the seven deadly sins. Specifically the deadly sin of wrath.
Also the name Satan is a corruption of the word shattan, meaning "the enemy." Fitting.
I'm not going to lie. In a world that seems to be going to shit, seeing/hearing about this is like seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.
The Onion, not the hero we want, but the hero we need... Apparently, this certainly was not on my bingo board
The Onion buying InfoWars on my birthday made it one of the best for me. I've known about Jones for too long, and even when I bought into a lot of that shit, I still thought he was out of his gourd. I can only hope this sticks, because damn do we need a win
I like Liz Dye so much. She says stuff and I just believe her. Her demeanor and all just makes me go, “Yes, ma’am. I wholeheartedly agree. Queen. Slay.” 😂
1:32 He called the lawyer WHAT? 😂😂😂😂
Alex Jones: Fine, we'll just do this the American Capitalist way!
The Onion buys all his shit completely legally:
Alex Jones: Wait....not like that!
"treating [InfoWars] with respect is not on the top of my list". I get the idea, but I don't think you can do anything with Infowars that would be "respectful" for any reasonnable, sane person.
In fact, whatever the Onion will do with it will be infinitely more respectful than keeping it running as usual.
