It looks like it might also have the hole, but maybe it could be used to sandwich an additional piece between it and the original as it clips over the original?
This is the cabin filter and not that bad compared to the two Honda's and it is much more work (BTW there's no engine air filter). For a Honda Pilot I had to physically cut a large piece of plastic (and discard it) after loosening and dropping the glove box. It was a pain in the butt to get that glove box re-aligned and in properly. My former BMW 5 series was also a pain - had to remove the glove box and getting the screws back just right was a chore. This actually seems not too bad to pull a panel and then temporarily move a couple of wires.
Less than a year tho (Not even a full winter) thats extremely bad, at least Tesla would of put protection coating on it, to prevent rust if its possible.
Bjørn har du hatt problemer med at dørene og dørhåndtakene fryser, hvordan har det vært med de tidligere teslaene dine om vinteren? Its really cheap tbh. But i guess it depends what they do on the car. Most of the stuff you could do yourself if you have an elevator garage. Thing is most people dont care about their car to do this yearly. They feel a car should be good for years without spending a dollar. Same as people change their tires way to seldom.
So it was not without any issues afterall. I would not have this service shop do my brakes, hanging the large calibers in the brake hose and all that lubrication mm´s away from the friction surface. 110% ok, that is marketing talk to make you feel good about the work done and for promoting themselves through your channel. The placement of the cabin filter is very weird and if you need it changed every years the plastic panels and clips are not going to last long, mounting it in the front trunk space would be much better and easier to clean. I am dissapointed about all those loose panels, the holes in the front wheel arch and especially about the drive axles, my Car from 2000 with 270.000km on it had better looking axles when i sold it last year, still had factory stickers on them.
We covered a lot stuff with this wax they were using for your doors. Check out Ove Kröger from T&T Emobility UA-cam, he does a lot videos about things like that.
Seems like this is a video to justify their existence. They're checking stuff like bearings/bushes when the car is nowhere near the mileage for them to fail. As someone said before, just do the brake clean, air filter and tyre rotation and maybe wiper blade change. Done!
They could fail early, such as in California communist roads that never get repaired right and the workmanship is so poor even repaired roads are awful. Also, in California, they're installing "Road Diet" everywhere, which is curbs that can ruin a suspension in less than 1 mile!
Hanging the caliper on the brake line is a no no. It can tear without any visual indication / leak and 1-3 months later you'll notice reduce braking.
Letting the caliper hang from the brake hose 😫😰

Pretty sure that Tesla purposely left that hole in the upper wheel well so air isn’t trapped in the wheel well. It’s likely an aerodynamic thing like BMW does with their “air curtain”.
You're the bosch.
I‘m wondering if the brakes stay cleaner when using aerocapwheels🤔
Mine in on Aeros and for now the rims as well as the brakecalipers stay pretty clean👌
kingkoolkata most of the 💩 is from the brake pads, but maybe some dirt too
I can imagine these guys doing head gasket change on BMW N57 engine... 4 seasons/12 episodes.
Hy Björn, why don't Bosch service change the oil, oil filter, alternater and timing belt, engine air filter, spark plugs, fuel filter, transmission oil? :)
Greetings from Germany
Andy KONZ that happens at the 60k service :)

Nice to watch as always Bjørn.
Hvad skulle du give af NOK for at få bilen serviceret?
Great video, Bjørn! 😊 Are you still happy with the Nereus/Firemax tyres? I bought my P100D second hand with Maxxis Arctictrekker, and I think they work fine. Curious about how the Nereus/Firemax are doing in comparison.
And W T H with that hole above the front wheel?
Maybe this kit might help? www.ebay.ie/itm/1-Pair-Front-Wheel-Arch-Soundproof-Cotton-Protective-Pad-Mat-For-Tesla-Model-3/293147825763?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144
There was mention of it on one of the Tesla forums, but it would be great if Bjorn or someone could do a proper review.
It looks like it might also have the hole, but maybe it could be used to sandwich an additional piece between it and the original as it clips over the original?
By the way, that's a lot of disassembly on the Model 3 just for changing the air filter.
Side panel and the filter door. It's not really that much.
Great video! Very useful content.
I'm now gonna crawl under my can to tighten those panels
In soviet russia you have this dirty filter in 4k km
17:22 snow falls while car is sitting there during lecture.
Good morning Bjørn, i have a question: In comparison with millennium falcon and optimus prime, how often did you change the air filter in those cars?
I’m not surprised there’s rusting, so much salt and water, very hard on metals.
Less than a year tho (Not even a full winter) thats extremely bad, at least Tesla would of put protection coating on it, to prevent rust if its possible.
Don’t worry you won’t need windscreen wipers when they are replaced with lasers!
16:04 I get the same on the toilet :) Does Bosch make TP?
Super interesting
They said it is cheaper to maintain a ev but about 300 euro is not cheap.
That rust on the drive shaft is a potential problem for all Model 3's in the future.
Every car in the world has parzs that are not coated or painted, so they rust. Nothing to worry
@@andykonz5208 Björn lives in a country where everything rusts fast because of winter and salted roads so it's a definite problem and not something to gloss over. Especially after only 6 months.
Perkelenaattori 😂
Is it? Superficial rust on a part you can't see won't affect the structural integrity of the vehicle as a whole. Other cars have drive-shafts and I've never once heard of a car breaking down because the "drive shaft rusted through".
My GMC Sierra has had rust all over the place for like 17 years still going strong I don't think these clown are real mechanics. Nobody lets a brake swing like that. And freaking out about some surface rust 😅
Made by Helga! That is correct!
12:00 if you do not watch Ove's videos...
Some rust on the break pads because with the new firmware update we don't use as much breaks anymore....
You feel there's still something left after you wipe?
Maybe a change of diet? 😂
That could be the smell in the cabin !
Nice work!
Pro stuff!
Those Bil experts are good..
Very Interesting video!!
No one:
Bjorn:spends 3000 nok for tesla maintenance
He also got youtube content out of it, which is the only justifiable reason for a service appointment like this.
What kind of jack pad adapters are they using? They’re not just flat blocks are they?
I was thinking the same thing only 4 small jack points in the Tesla maintenance app. All the rest of the underside of the car are in red.
now does a Service center like that one need a stamp from Tesla to no void warrenty ? Since Tesla just opened in Iceland noone is doing these inspects here....
In Norway you can not void the warranty if you go to another authorized car mechanic.
Michael Eric Menk
same in the EU. my guess is that iceland (and norway), both being part of the EEA, most likely have the same laws in this area.
2:47
And the new one
Ohhhhhh : no smell 😂😂😂
At least Cybertruck shouldn’t have rusting issues so much.
its 70k USD, (Dirt cheap) won't be surprise if there is manufacture issues.
So this yearly service costs ~300€?
It's Norway, yes only €300...
Yep, thats the price of owning a car... Imagine more expensive "premium"" ones...
Dejvor considering how pricy (comparatively) Norway is and what they are doing I would say €300 is a good deal. At least compared to France
Its really cheap tbh. But i guess it depends what they do on the car. Most of the stuff you could do yourself if you have an elevator garage.
Thing is most people dont care about their car to do this yearly. They feel a car should be good for years without spending a dollar. Same as people change their tires way to seldom.
@@idrisddraig2 I agree with you on that one.
changing the airfilter shouldnt be this complicated...
you cant imagine how difficult to change cabin filter on Ford Focus mk2, tesla is just fine.
I agree. On Mercedes, it is very simple.
When you have some Renaults you have to take of the gas pedal
Was Robert Romanian?
What rims are on the car?
So it was not without any issues afterall.
I would not have this service shop do my brakes, hanging the large calibers in the brake hose and all that lubrication mm´s away from the friction surface.
110% ok, that is marketing talk to make you feel good about the work done and for promoting themselves through your channel.
The placement of the cabin filter is very weird and if you need it changed every years the plastic panels and clips are not going to last long, mounting it in the front trunk space would be much better and easier to clean.
I am dissapointed about all those loose panels, the holes in the front wheel arch and especially about the drive axles, my Car from 2000 with 270.000km on it had better looking axles when i sold it last year, still had factory stickers on them.
i thought that teslas barely needed service?
@ 1m15sek, side panel broken plastic clips.
01:15 *fixed that for you
We covered a lot stuff with this wax they were using for your doors. Check out Ove Kröger from T&T Emobility UA-cam, he does a lot videos about things like that.
It's not a great idea to go sniffing used air filters. There's a lot of dust in there which is no good for your lungs!
Welche boschwerkstadt kann dies ?
So ziemlich jede ...
Seams like fun dyping nose in filter farts .😀
