Today I’m going to show you what is possibly the best way to fly to Pakistan: Business Class in Qatar Airways on their latest Boeing 787-9!
Many l, including myself, have observed recent quality shortfalls at Qatar Airways but this flight shows the complete opposite of that.
From a perfect dining experience at the Al Safwa First Class lounge to the excellent service provided single handedly by crew Kristian from Hungary.
He is one of the best professionals I’ve encountered on my journeys and thanks to people like him incredible lifelong memories are made.
While there are many choices of airlines to Pakistan, this time Qatar Airways showed just how much they can offer you for your buck.

I always find Qatar Airways cabins one of the coziest out there with the great colour combination!
It is a relaxing and elegant color combination indeed!
Wow! Its cool how Qatar Airways send such a good product to Pakistan!
The aircraft keeps changing depending on the day, but if you get the right aircraft such as the A350 or B787-9 it’s all cool!

The salt called PINK Himalyan is Pakistani Salt. Extracted from probably oldest and largest Salt Mine in the world located near City of Chakwal. Its a treat to visit it. Thank you for such a trip report into Lahore

I’ve got some at home, but to be fair, it makes no real difference besides the aesthetics.

The QR music is soothing and classic, but it kind of becomes a bit boring if you fly QR all the time.. I wish they could play that one and then something else instead of the same son on repeat all the time.
But that’s my opinion..

You would be surprised how food is made for airplanes, and it's not made on the plane either... it's made at every airport where there is a big kitchen to cook in....
I actually know, I visited a catering company once. Even the food in the QR First Class lounge is not made there, but brought from the catering company and reheated there.
Still, it is very good!
Great video with the Dubai view when Qatar airways 787-9 fly over the city.

Welcome to Pakistan! Lucky that you got the -9 variant, I'm afraid most of my journeys from Pak to Doha end up on the -8 variant. Still a great product regardless of the aircraft type though!
They fly a mix of aircraft depending on the demand, I can see it continues to vary by the day. But yes, glad I got the -9! Thanks for watching 😃

Great video again. QR does seem to have some great cabins and its almost consistent across their A350 &B777s,B787s. Something that i would like to see Air France doing more often as some of their B777s and A330s are quite old and unbearable to travel in.

About the Qatar airways soundtrack during boarding, it instantly recalls Qatar Airways no doubt - but isn't it a little depressing and morbid? Or maybe it is just me.
Also, mixed feelings about the no more "ah, Lewandowski" from the safety video..
I just find the song so repetitive that I don’t listen to it anymore. But yes, the first time I found it iconic and now I just wonder how long I would able to stand is as an employee who hears it day and night!

During these times of Climate Change, People are just cursing the aviation industry for its Carbon Footprint but they don't just realise that it is a vital need if we look at some aspects in the smooth functioning of humanity and it just can't be stopped just like that.
Also I don't actually believe on the saying "use trains to reduce your carbon footprint" because if I don't book a flight, that plane is still scheduled to fly even with 1 passenger on-board. So my absence won't make any difference in the CO² emissions. I can agree on the supply and demand thing but I have seen some flights from Hong-Kong to Dubai almost empty (this can vary).
Covid showed us how just how important air travel is, not only for the transportation of goods but also our mental health. People traveled more then ever after being locked up.
About the flights from Hong Kong to Dubai, funny you mention that as at the end of this month I have to fly from HKG to DXB and flights are full, so I have to detour via Manila!
Fantastic film. I wish PIA could offer an experience similar to QRs. Just travelled YYZ-KHI-YYZ on PIA's B77Ls and was thoroughly disappointed with the experience. I suspect LHE is now the busiest airport in PK - having supplanted both ISB and KHI.
They could but it takes lots of years, commitment and investment to plan all that.. I hope to catch the fly to YYZ some day. Sorry you had a bad experience!
@@TheLayoverAviation --- From 1960s till Mid 1970s, PIA In-flight Experience was among the best in the world. Even Short haul domestic trips were awesome. Things went down the hill for PIA just like it did for Pakistan

Fantastic video. QR flies 4 times a day to Dhaka and they still fly their dinosorous A330s there. How I wish they operated these B787-9s there as those flights would be a huge hit among passengers like me who avoid QR.

At least you had a good flight on QR to Lahore, Pakistan. I told you that every flight no matter QR is going down the roof is going to be a different story.

Just flew Qatar longhaul and I have to say I was quite shocked at how the overall experience had declined - in economy at least. I'm comparing with pre covid times so maybe it's not an entirely fair comparison. But the staff seemed preoccupied, the food was generally good although the meals were inconsistent, and the planes were looking quite tired. It just seemed to have lost its sparkle. Maybe that explains why it's currently one of the cheaper options ex UK
You’re very right Neil, I fully agree with you. That’s why in this video I praise the quality as it was a nice change.
I fly QR a lot and half of the video’s I don’t release anymore as people will think I’ve got a grudge against them. The quality dropped.
And yes, it’s soooo cheap from the UK! I found a ticket from London to Mumbai for under 300 Euro! That is nuts! While I collect miles with them, I now paid double and will fly Virgin Atlantic instead for a change, am up for something new.

@@TheLayoverAviation i've now seen your review of your Bangkok flight (which was the route we took). Must have been pretty galling when you'd paid for a premium service. The best part for me was that the London - Doha leg was BA operated (which is saying something!). Let's hope that with some new aircraft things start to look up

Also, the Qatar airways, Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 787-8 and 9 Dreamliner and Airbus A380 in the FIFA cup 2022 sticker is repainted to the normal regular livery. Unfortunately, I miss the FIFA cup 2022 sticker on the Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 787-8 and 9 Dreamliner because it's looks nice and cool to me.

They used to have A350 en-route to Lahore with Q Suites. Q Suites on 787 are at an angle as 787 is narrower than the A350. Also, no more pajamas on Q Suites?
The details on Qatar sets them apart. Very impressive, and a great video.

I like them both! It depends on the situation..
But overall I believe the Emirates A380 Business Class is just so much fun. And it flies all over the world. But also the Qsuites are nice.. So Qatar, Etihad and Emirates are just top for me!
i am seeing a lot of avloggers puting out videos showing that Q air is declining in quality of service, but your videos say otherwise.
Oh but I do agree with the other people. I am having a lot of issues with QR, specially their useless customer services. This flight just happened to be perfect, as should be.

Gracias Samuel! Es una aerolínea top cuando todo sale bien.. Hay veces que fallan un poco. Pero el A350 es un avión increíble, my favorito junto al A380.

Hey Alejandro, I’m a little disappointed that u said Qatars A380s were bad because I just flew on 1 and the flight was great in Business class it’s even better than qsuite because it has a bar where I spent most of my time at and I can’t believe u let everyone down by saying it was bad
Hey there! So, the biggest problem at QR is the inconsistency of the product. There are so many different aircrafts and products. And it all costs the same money. So I pay the same for a Business Class on the A320 and A330 as on the B787 or A350. I paid 1000’s of USD the other day to fly with my family and we were flying on an A350-1000, but it changed last minute to an A330-300. That really sucks when I was raving to my wife how cool it was going to be and it eventually wasn’t.
You might have seen many video’s online saying how the quality at QR has dropped. I agree on that. More then half of my flights don’t live up to standard.
I, as a paying customer and consumer have the right to complain if something isn’t right. And my flight in First Class on the A380 was terrible. I paid a lot of money and was made fun by customer services, ignored by cabin crew and more.
I am very fair on this channel and say when something is great. When it is not, I never say anything. But I will once it’s terrible. And this was the case.
My flight now to Lahore was great. Great staff, great food, great seat, and specially great happy cabin crew. And if it was like this always it would be the worlds best airline without doubt. But it isn’t the case.
I know you love QR, but when the expectations are publicly set so high by Mr. Al Baker and eventually not met, the disappointment is huge!
But don’t worry, more good flights on QR are coming up on this channel. I didn’t have any terrible ones since the A380 one.

Why do the engine blades rotate even when off?
The wind! It takes no effort at all to move the blades. I tried with my hands a few times and it’s so light!

Fuel is uplifted by trucks because of high summer temperatures that can heat up the fuel if stored underground
But they manage in Riyadh, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and more! I think it’s just not installed at those stands.

I think the Pakistani movie industry is not as popular as one imagines it would be with Bollywood doing a lot of the heavy lifting there as well. Something that connects us Indians and Pakistanis. ;)
The product is very similar to the new BA Club Suite on the 777s, 350s and the 787-10. The only reason I can fly on it is thanks to my staff travel benefits. We can fly standby on many other airlines including QR, but only in economy. So, I'll stick to my employer for Business class. :D
Also what was that meal? Was it dinner while the sun was rising? 😅
I kind of thought about that as I observed many Pakistani’s watching Indian movies, but as you know, I don’t want to publicly make any comments as I’ll get some conversation going! But lovely to read that cinema is something that connects both great cultures 😊
