Blow Marcus blow!!!ya know who I'm quoting!!!
I can’t stop coming back to this
Lucas Pino is such a fantastic sax player. So much musicality. A deep dark and interesting sound. I hear lot Joe Lovano in his playing, but stil so personal. What a joy. Thanks!
First time hearing Martina. She is incredible. Her harmonic expression, tone and phrasing are dope. Checked out her recordings and was underwhelmed by the quality but the skill is evident. Looking forward to hearing more.
Martina's voice, smile & beautiful personality, plus the excellent bass and drum; jazz which is in synch with my heart. Emmet shines on piano; wish I could've been on piano instead. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome of left handed ability leaves me with about 10 minutes of playing time @ a big personally directed dammit; "I can't play anymore". All the best to Emmet; he's one of the very best pianist of the 21st century.
"Moody's Mood for Love" is one of my favorite tunes. Martina and the band do it right.
Vous êtes incroyables ! Chaque session est une surprise extraordinaire ! Je vous embrasse dès la République Argentine !
The tenor is Spectacular
Tutti Bravissimi…ma il Contrabbassista è Eccezionale!!!… 👏👏👏👏
this young lady is amazing, I am happy even if we loose to Germany 7x 1 again!
Emmet is a true genius! Amazing technique and deep feels. Amazing.
Keep playing forever!!!
Martina, you have that voice to listen for hours. Eu apercebi-me logo que havia sangue Brasileiro a correr nessas veias. Gostei muito de te ouvir.
The girl from Ipanema was fantastic!
The joy of performance, outstanding.
Emmet, you and your band are a joy to hear. I sat here with a smile on my face, just listening.
I think Charlie Parker would've been impressed by Pino. Oh man! That's playin'.
Oscar Peterson in heaven; bet he loves your playing Emmet. Martina, wish she and I were the same age 40 years ago and I was doing my thing on piano (bop/Brazilian) with her singing.
Excellent comping, those chords, solos, dynamics, damn Emmet you're amazing!
Live from Emmets place is becoming a regular show at our living room. Greetings from Portugal
曲がいい。piano いい。base いい。drams いい。jazz の中のjazz!!! 楽しめるjazz!!!
What a joy! So much talent. Great voice! Love from Sweden.
Love "That Old Feeling" arrangement by Emmet & all! Those punches, bass line really get me. And of course, the stellar improv on this old chestnut!
Yooo Lucas Pino 🔥🔥🔥 hum Sound and language on point ! love it
Thanks for streaming this wonderful music for us! Brings heaven to earth. "Prez" Pino on "Stars Fell on Alabama" - so great. Awesome singer you are Mrs. DaSilva.
Perfect week for “Georgia on my Mind” ..... Oui? Miss Jenny
Hopefully, the purple hat is still there.
That was the best version of Body and Soul I've ever heard. I think I've listened to all of them that feature a tenor saxophonist. Bravo.
**Edit** I've listened to this Version of Body and Soul at least 10 times in the last week and I'm convinced; Lucas Pino is one of the best saxophonists on the planet. His phrasing, time, note choice, ideas, tone and technical ability displayed here show his complete mastery of the instrument. What a virtuosic performance, bravo once again.
Hot hot jazz keep it coming Emmet love from Texas
that shiny stockings shout quote was a total fire
oh shit on which tune? shiny stockings has such a legendary arrangement and its one of my fav tunes for sure
Very dear Emmet i love the delignt you show while playing whith your friends! Thank's for all these very nice moments!
Beautiful 🎶
Bravo Emmet, that's amazing how the playing of Joe Saylor makes you drift on new directions !
Burning 🔥🔥🔥
Martina Silva cantando moodys mood é insuperável, insustentável, inimaginável.
A beautiful video, a beautiful virtual walk, it's very relaxing. Thanks for sharing!
The best!
Brawo !! Jesteś moim ulubionym jazzowym Cohenem oczywiście z Twoim trio i zaproszonymi gośćmi.
fantastic drummer!
Oh, my! This simply lights up my day. Thank you, thank you!
Orange County, CA.
Me too
Браво Emmet, прекрасно , так современно исполнять джазовую классику!!!
De los mejores Emmets Place!!!
Lucas didn’t blow me away until the best things in life. That playing was completely inspiring. He’s a serious talent.
Check out his other stuff man; I think most of his stuff online is KILLIN. If it sounds that good online or on record, imagine how good it is in person 😎Anyway, I think most musicians are not in tip-top shape these days because of the pandemic
@@jazzbonept his sound is ginormous in person.
@@jamesgeng2213 I’ll bet; if it sounds that big on recording, in person must be unreal
Conn NW tenor! Fine vintage horn, sounding great.
Man this is so fire
Wow, so nice and full of power - Thank you so much!
Bravo!
super !
I love "Live From Emmet's Place!" You all are amazing musicians. Listening to you all the way from Southeast Montana! If you ever travel to Billings, MT...just drop a message so you can meet jazz musicians out here! And btw...Near Billings is the battlefield of the Little Big Horn (where Custer was brought down) and Montana is home to major national parks. Billings is not far from the entrance to the Beartooth Highway -- 60+ miles of beautiful mountain vistas in the wilderness...and grizzly bear country that lands you at the Northeast gate to Yellowstone Nt'l Park! Keep that jazz going!
Nice! Love that Cedar Walton arrangement!
hi may i ask you in which tune can i find that? thanks!
@@user-vg8em1rj7w It's the arrangement of that old feeling; It's on the blakey album three blind mice
8:14
49:46
holy crap Lucas Pino is so good.
Was Russell going straight through a DI instead of being mic'd for this one?
What is the ñame of the first track?
what's the name of the tune at 23:17
Good Bait
He's probably taking a lot of inspiration from Trane on this one
@@thorarthur66ddz thanks mate
What's the tune called at 11:05?
I think it is "Monk's Dream".
Trinkle Tinkle - Monk
Martina is a cutie pie. I don’t believe her though. More experience more listening to the masters. Dig Girl from I. Drummer 🙌 fan of Elliot as well!!
she got nothin to prove. she is HOT (as in emotional, hot jazz 1920s 1930s big up)....
....not overly intellectual bebop scatting like most "technical masters"......
@@mohitoness we grow by listening to our critics. Especially when they’re musicians 😉
@@jazzbirdbecky when u mention that i imagine where i'd be if i had listened to most of the musician's criticisms in my life... thank goodness i didn't lol! not to say there are no invaluable teachers and great examples to lead by...
I can hear so much soul in her voice and can also hear the masters going back to Pops. Also sophistication and reaction to her musical environment. But then again, I'm just one of the millions of jazz lovers, so who cares what I think
Good grief, haven't you heard her extensive output on UA-cam yet?
no mask policy PLEASE!
Not my favorite singer, sorry. Nasally.
Sorry to be honest, but to me, she sounds like an average teenager singing for fun in her bedroom while her parents have gone to work...
Respect your opinion but she’s an amazing vocalist ... no doubt.
she's amazing you don't know what you say
Gotta checkout more jazz vocalists...I can hear influence as far back as Louis Armstrong
Yep. Most current jazz vocalists are annoying to listen to.
@@jazzbonept She doesn't have the vocal chops that Veronica does, but give her time - she's young. I wouldn't use "amazing" yet.
