#Epidermal growth factor (EGF) plays an important role in cell proliferation of a variety of cells types by binding to the EGF receptor (EGFR), which stimulates several signal transduction pathways leading to the transcriptional activation of a number of growth-related genes and transcription factors including c-fos, c-jun, and Ets. This signaling pathway activation also plays an important role in the development of many solid tumors. -Creative BioMart

Good job but one suggestion. EGF binding just doesn't phosphorylate the protein, it's a complicated process so please make sure you at least explain that EGF makes the receptor dimerize (a canonical model although not completely true as EGFR mostly multimerize) and activates only one of the two kinases (the receiver kinase) and that kinase then phosphorylates both the tails and activates the pathway you talked about. Simultaneously, it also activates PI3K pathway for the similar purpose.

Impressive. Is this 12th grade biology that you are teaching? I have to say that this is highly advanced for that level of education. We, as oncologists, routinely use agents that bind to these receptors and observe certain lung cancers with egfr +ve mutations regress dramatically and prolonging overall and progression free survival of patients. Very impressed to see that such valuable information is being imparted to 12th grade students.

TheQueenaby because there was no mention of a GTP exchange factor, just kinases.....
and what aboout MAPKK? thanks x
