Our living room actually opens into the bedrooms and kitchen. So there are too many doors and windows .. unfortunately it's a pre built house and not a modern day apartment 😢.. it's very difficult to style it up .. yet some of your tips are useful and I'm planning to apply them .. ❤
Yes some homes do have that floor plan, actually it also happens to be how older homes were built with the central atrium in your case the living room surrounded by all other rooms... you can still create a space by using items to demarcate the living room from other spaces such as using plants like a partition or a bookshelf... you can also define a space with a large dhurrie rug etc.

Hi Anusha , I have a doubt. Increasing the height of the window curtains..will it be practical? Won't it be very difficult during removing and changing the curtains....and as the length is not standard.. won't it be very difficult to get hold of curtains like that.
@asha9988 Hi Asha, standard curtain height will be 7ft, even that is not easy to remove without a stool or ladder. So increasing height doesnt cause much additional work. There are options for curtain heights upto 8ft easily available online, but yeah anything above that needs custom stitching. In our case we were living in a high ceiling Goa house earlier and had to custom make curtains. We repurposed the same in Bangalore apartment but had to shorten the length to apartment dimensions with some simple hemming myself
Wonderful and important information. Please make video on use of chandeliers in drawing room. Is it in vogue or will it look odd ?? Also the type of decor pieces and furniture that will go with it. Please guide.
