Tools Used
I use Adobe Photoshop CC for painting and editing my illustrations. Many of my older speedpaints were done in a free digital program called Medibang Paint (which I highly recommend for beginner artists!). I switched to using Photoshop as my main art program in late 2018 to further improve my work. My tablet is the Wacom MobileStudio Pro 13, which I purchased in 2016. I record my screen using OBS and edit all my videos in Adobe Premiere Pro.

FAQ
How long did this take?
It varies! If it's a five minute long video, then between 3 to 4 hours. If its between 7-10 minutes, it was probably a bigger piece which can take anywhere between 10-15 hours.
Where did you get your brushes?
Most of the brushes you see me use are with from the Kyle Brush packs (mainly the 'Real Oils' from the Megapack, available to all Photoshop CC users) or from Andreas Rocha's brush pack (given out as a Patreon reward).
What canvas size do you draw on?
My canvas size is usually around 3000px on the short side and upwards of 5000px on the long side. With a resolution of around 300 - 350 dpi.
How do I commission you?
I open commissions around 3 times a year and accept in batches of 10-15. For all my prices and info, visit: www.clockbirds...

One of my favorite artists, you've been such an inspiration to my own art and style, seeing another speed paint really brightens my day ^^
whenever a clockbirds speedpaint is uploaded my day automatically becomes better
I just found an old comment that I made on your channel 4 years ago (damn, it's been a while), and I couldn't resist to leave one more behind.
You have inspired me a lot on my artistic journey, and have indirectly taken part in shaping me who I am as an artist. After starting back in 2016, I'm still at it with art, trying to improve day by day. From my first set of alcohol markers to my first little Wacom tablet, your artworks and the skill behind them were always something I looked up to.
I want to thank you for inspiring a teen to pursue his passion and keep going, not caring what other people would say regarding his hobby. I'm glad to have found such an amazing artist
Much love from Germany, take care!
thank you for the beautiful comment
ANOTHER CLOCKBIRDS SPEEDPAINT :D
Dang it’s been a while since you’ve posted ☹️ When I was in middle school and younger I used to watch your vids ALLLL the time‼️You’re a big inspiration man and I hope you’re doing well and I look forward to the possibility of new speedpaints from you‼️‼️
Lovely! Your Pokemon illustrations with the eeveelutions are really cool! Great work!
YES ANOTHER SPEED PAINT! I CLICKED THE THUMBNAIL AS SOON AS I SEE IT
Love it! I habe to say I always learn a tiny little bit for my art from watchimg your speed paints. Thank you for that!💛
I just found your art and your videos
Absolutely gorgeous!
The contrast of the blues, pinks and yellows is so good
ANOTHER AMAZING ART !!!! LOVE IT 🤩🤩🤩
Just subscribed last week after watching this and the amazing arts you make. Im gonna watch all your works.
This looks like a movie poster! Really cool!
Hey there, it's been a long time since you uploaded a new art, I just hope you're doing fine out there and that you're safe
this is so good wth?? this needs more views!!
SO GOOD
Your art is amazing.
Also I would like to see you do more tutorials(Your last one was 4 yrs ago) even if its a topic you think is already covered, seeing your take on it would still be interesting.
OMG WOW!! I love ur art sm i cant even 😭😭 biggest insp
literally my inspiration
damn this is gorgeous
It has almost been a year since you uploaded here, you may not get this comment but I love your art, it is so inspiring to younger artists like me. I was wondering when (or if) you will be opening commissions again. I have wanted to commission you for almost 3 years now but have never gotten the opportunity to. I love your art and would love to see more!
Wow! Just wow! amazing every time! One question: Do you usually use any other features of photoshop in your speedpaints? I mean like gaussian blur, select tools, move tools, things like that?
Could you please show the sketching progress in future videos?
I hope you're OK
I miss your art
Can you do a process of like a really fluffy Kitsune? I'm struggling so much with how to do the fur and I'd love an example to go by😅
did you do this in one sitting!!?
I have a question. Would you be okay with me using your pictures to help me improve too? I wouldn't copy or steal the idea, I'd just use it as a example to how I want to draw. I'd basically use it as inspiration and reference. I wouldn't post what a draw online if you didn't want me to. I know some people who wouldn't want me doing this, so I thought it would be better to just ask. I don't wanna upset anyone.
Lets hope clockbirds see this lol. I don't think commenting on a 2 month old video is a good way to contact someone. I don't really know any better ways though, so oof. I kinda just found this channel and am obsessed with the art style. Its like my dream art style. The backgrounds are just amazing, and just gutcthdrhdutft. Its just *chefs kiss
No more medibang?
broo, it's not working for me pls help me, somebody
I miss watching these videos from you. I have been subscribed for more than 6 years and wonder if you will open your commissions again someday
Hi there. I just want to tell you that I remember seeing your art on Neo way back and you've always inspired me in my own art journey. I was always sort of shy back in the day so I wouldn't talk, but I absolutely want to thank you for your tutorials and speed paints because it's definitely helped me through the years. You are a very talented artist!
It feels so surreal, you have been a big inspiration and helped me develop my style throughout middle/high school, and now I myself am a psychology major trying to keep my art up as best as I can with university! Funny how that happens. Thank you for being a great inspiration and making those helpful tutorials :)
Heya Clockbirds! I’m glad to see you’re still updating. I took a huge break from art about a year ago now, and I haven’t watched your content since 8th grade probably… I don’t remember how old your channel is but I feel like you were a part of my childhood lol (im a freshie in college now). I decided to start trying to improve my art again, and resume watching art UA-camrs to gain inspiration, and I specifically remembered you. Hopefully I’m able to learn a little something from your vids now that I’m older and more experienced with art, because trying to emulate your style as a little kid was very hard 😅. But thanks again, keep up the great work!
THIS IS AMAZING! i love the neon city type scenes.
my first cat passed away this morning so thank u for posting this jax
Oh nooo :< I'm sorry for your loss
U alive?
this is amazingly beautiful
Omg~ pokemon! Pooookemon! I hope u r making more pokemon fanart~
I hope you’ve enjoyed the new Pokémon game! I’m not sure when it releases, but I’ve heard a lot of neat stuff about it :D
What tools do you use to create this artwork? I doubt you use a mouse to draw.
She uses a Wacom mobile studio pro drawing tablet
