THEN the actual cash-in was perfect with Orton selling a knee injury and standing like a statue as Miz ran down to cash in was wonderful. And this gave us the Miz girl. Its hard to imagine but this was right on the precipice of The Miz winning over the IWC fans after making the US title feel special, and there was essentially much rejoicing on the message boards of the time.
Then he flopped as champion, no one bought into him as a threat, no one bought his merchandise and the fans that supported him quickly turned their attention to someone else they wanted to chant you deserve it at. It should have proved to the WWE that they needed to stop listening to the IWC but they’re still doing it with Cody. Let’s see how long he lasts.

Even if it wasn’t planned it went to something awesome.

Happy you out Priest in Hall of Fame. One of the best stories with that cash in. Both with Drew only focusing on Punk and that being his downfall after he says that Punk is the "Stan". And the whole Drew taking Punks wrestlemania moment, this time it was Punk who took Drews wrestlemania moment. 2 guys who are so synonymous with not really having that moment. Its incredible storytelling
The storyline is further developed when you noticed that Drew has interuppted Priests cash ins on multiple occasions before then stating that maybe priest should wait till the match is over. Then finally at mania when drew is so focused on beating seth and winning the title to Then taunt punk before losing it all to priest because his obsession cost him the gold
I fully agree with you on Damian Priest, him as a money in the bank holder was terrible, the cash in on the other hand was brilliant, I think other than the heist of the century it's the best cash-in in MITB history. I was happy with the cash-in, but I care so little for Priest, that I would have been totally okay with him losing the belt on the Raw after Mania, he just doesn't do anything for me as a top champion. Maybe WWE will do hard work and build him up to be worthy of the belt and I'll get behind it or he could lose the belt at any of the weekly shows and I will be okay with that too.
Cashing in on a non-world championship is fine imo IF it leads to greater accolades like becoming a Triple Crown or Grand Slam winner, or it has a stellar in story reason for it. Probably should be both.
I hate the Daniel Bryan cash in, because he pinned someone who was already down. The rules had always been that the champion must be upright and conscious for the match to start, and they threw that out the window for plot convenience, which is lazy booking. As for Cena cashing in on Punk, that doesn't bother me so much. Someone had to be the first failed cash in, and Cena wasn't going to be hurt by it. So I was fine with that.
Let's be honest here, the ref was a guy who had "power" so obviously the bending of the rules would happen in that regard. Also, there is also an irony there, because Bryan moreorless did the same thing to Big Show.
Also as for Cena losing his cash-in, I heard apparently Big Show was suppose to win that briefcase, so I'm guessing Cena losing it was their way of "course correcting it."
One thing that kinda ruined the Edge cash in on Taker? Was it happened back when SmackDown was taped on Tuesdays. WWE themselves spoiled the outcome on their ACTUAL website before the show even aired on Friday. Took the hype out of it for those of us who routinely checked on their website.

The only thing that bothered me about Edge's second cash in, was how it was announced on ECW that he had successfully cashed it on SmackDown. Back when SmackDown was pre-recorded on Tuesdays.
I mean, to defend Austin Theroys cash in the Bloodline ruined the world title scene at the time. Austin Theroy never had a rats chance of successfully cashing in and there was no way they"d have Roman lose to a cash in, so the mid card titles were his only real option. Having him lose that cash in though is indefensable.
Lol he lost cash in on mid card title so if theory was going to have failed cash in than he should've failed against roman atleast it would put some lineage on mitb briefcase and theory attempt and everyone knows mitb cash in was going to fail against roman so it doesn't matter but he lost that against mid card which ruined mitb prestige and theory character

Happy you out Priest in Hall of Fame. One of the best stories with that cash in. Both with Drew only focusing on Punk and that being his downfall after he says that Punk is the "Stan". And the whole Drew taking Punks wrestlemania moment, this time it was Punk who took Drews wrestlemania moment. 2 guys who are so synonymous with not really having that moment. Its incredible storytelling
The storyline is further developed when you noticed that Drew has interuppted Priests cash ins on multiple occasions before then stating that maybe priest should wait till the match is over. Then finally at mania when drew is so focused on beating seth and winning the title to Then taunt punk before losing it all to priest because his obsession cost him the gold
I fully agree with you on Damian Priest, him as a money in the bank holder was terrible, the cash in on the other hand was brilliant, I think other than the heist of the century it's the best cash-in in MITB history. I was happy with the cash-in, but I care so little for Priest, that I would have been totally okay with him losing the belt on the Raw after Mania, he just doesn't do anything for me as a top champion. Maybe WWE will do hard work and build him up to be worthy of the belt and I'll get behind it or he could lose the belt at any of the weekly shows and I will be okay with that too.

Cashing in on a non-world championship is fine imo IF it leads to greater accolades like becoming a Triple Crown or Grand Slam winner, or it has a stellar in story reason for it. Probably should be both.
I hate the Daniel Bryan cash in, because he pinned someone who was already down. The rules had always been that the champion must be upright and conscious for the match to start, and they threw that out the window for plot convenience, which is lazy booking.
As for Cena cashing in on Punk, that doesn't bother me so much. Someone had to be the first failed cash in, and Cena wasn't going to be hurt by it. So I was fine with that.
Let's be honest here, the ref was a guy who had "power" so obviously the bending of the rules would happen in that regard.
Also, there is also an irony there, because Bryan moreorless did the same thing to Big Show.
Also as for Cena losing his cash-in, I heard apparently Big Show was suppose to win that briefcase, so I'm guessing Cena losing it was their way of "course correcting it."
