    I'm a retired union carpenter Foreman and contractor over the years you really need a tool belt to be doing what you're doing four pockets on the left side and a carpet or electricians tool pouch on the right don't overload the pouch only used to put tools in there that you need on the right and all your screws nails whatever on your left it will help you immensely because if you're building something doing something you should have a tool belt on

    I am indeed looking to living off grid. I’ve had bad experiences with people my whole life and I’m ready for solitude. Just have to get myself out of debt and once I do I’m coming out to Arizona. You are a true inspiration and I appreciate that you share your experience. Thank you

    Great green house repair job. That tape looks like a great thing. Funny the way the small pig looks out in case you're throwing more hay, smart.

    • @FrugalOffGrid
      @FrugalOffGrid  2 роки тому +1

      Yea, greenhouse tape is magic. I used it to add a tarp to the bottom of my cistern so my ladder won't puncture the bottom.

    Hello! The first squash shown in the video is acorn squash with the one leaf that looks like a maple 🍁 leaf for example. They are so good baked with butter and brown sugar ☺️

    BecarefulI with that weed growing on your property.. I have it here in Nevada too. It's called goatweed. It's known for puncturing tires! Its harmful to goats too! You are doing a great job!!!!!👍❤❤

      Thanks Susan, it's not goat weed the thorns are much softer. Someone suggested it's tumble weed

    Suggestion, those moringa need deeper pots,the tap root hate being the least bit disturbed. I use old Pepsi bottles with the lid and bottom cut out. The lid helps with keeping the humidity up as they need it for germinating. Peace brother.

    I tgink, instead of a burn barrel, you should have a char barrel. Make scrap wood into char for your garden, and burn off the noxious weeds at the same time.

      Chat is high alkaline which would add to the already alkaline soil making it too alkaline to grow.

    Willows take a LOT of water.

    • @FrugalOffGrid
      @FrugalOffGrid  2 роки тому

      They're hybrids they require way less water than willow and they'll grow to be a shade tree in only 2-3 years.

    I wouldn't mind being off grid but I won't deny I want some convenience. I need AC in the summer and hi-speed internet for work. I would like unlimited power as well lol. I guess I don't really want to be off grid. I just want some ability to take care of myself without "the system". Though I feel the system is very important and useful.

    • @FrugalOffGrid
      @FrugalOffGrid  2 роки тому +1

      Lol, you can have those needs met. It won't be long before I can run AC for at least the few hottest hours of the day. Just takes a few thousand watts of solar panels and about 400ah of battery bank.

  • @Mr.nooooo

    Square army ammo can Tony solar panel lithium gil scooter 50 cc battery And a little solar panel to keep that battery charged and run that Geo fan

    Have you had any termite problems? And if so what was your solution ?

    • @FrugalOffGrid
      @FrugalOffGrid  2 роки тому +1

      No termites, when you build coat timber that touches ground in tar up about 6 inches. Never stack wood next to any buildings.

    Instead of burning that foliage, offer it to your goats. I'd be shocked if they didn't like it. Your pigs would probably enjoy it, too. Why pay for feed when it's growing right there?
