I'm a retired union carpenter Foreman and contractor over the years you really need a tool belt to be doing what you're doing four pockets on the left side and a carpet or electricians tool pouch on the right don't overload the pouch only used to put tools in there that you need on the right and all your screws nails whatever on your left it will help you immensely because if you're building something doing something you should have a tool belt on
Just wanted to add..... I love your channel and journey. Thank you for sharing with us your positive attitude and drive to be better tomorrow than you were yesterday, while staying rooted in the gift of today.
I am indeed looking to living off grid. I’ve had bad experiences with people my whole life and I’m ready for solitude. Just have to get myself out of debt and once I do I’m coming out to Arizona. You are a true inspiration and I appreciate that you share your experience. Thank you
Yours is my fave subscription! I just bought a cpl off grid acres to homestead. I plan to break ground in March. I dive head first into your videos and not once have you failed to provide a bit of wisdom or idea that inspires me.
Great video. When you kitten meows, I keep looking around for my cats! Thanks for all the helpful hints for projects as I develop my place outside of Tucson.
Someone might of all ready mentioned, but you can heat up PVC with a blow torch or oven to get the bends you need. I really enjoy your channel brother I've learned a lot from you. Thank you looking forward to more vids. cheers!
Hello! The first squash shown in the video is acorn squash with the one leaf that looks like a maple 🍁 leaf for example. They are so good baked with butter and brown sugar ☺️
Hello! I enjoy your videos so much! You inspire me! I just have to find the right location to buy property. One day soon, I hope! BecarefulI with that weed growing on your property.. I have it here in Nevada too. It's called goatweed. It's known for puncturing tires! Its harmful to goats too! You are doing a great job!!!!!👍❤❤
Suggestion, those moringa need deeper pots, the tap root hate being the least bit disturbed. I use old Pepsi bottles with the lid and bottom cut out. The lid helps with keeping the humidity up as they need it for germinating. Peace brother.
I love the videos brother me and my wife on hopefully be moved up that way with in the year. for that geothermal Fan I got a self-contained battery idea for it similar to what I used to run an outdoor Bluetooth speaker box
I tgink, instead of a burn barrel, you should have a char barrel. Make scrap wood into char for your garden, and burn off the noxious weeds at the same time.
I wouldn't mind being off grid but I won't deny I want some convenience. I need AC in the summer and hi-speed internet for work. I would like unlimited power as well lol. I guess I don't really want to be off grid. I just want some ability to take care of myself without "the system". Though I feel the system is very important and useful.
Lol, you can have those needs met. It won't be long before I can run AC for at least the few hottest hours of the day. Just takes a few thousand watts of solar panels and about 400ah of battery bank.
If we weren't handicapp, we would like to live in a place just like yours. Do you think in the future maybe you will move out of your van into a small cabin ?
Instead of burning that foliage, offer it to your goats. I'd be shocked if they didn't like it. Your pigs would probably enjoy it, too. Why pay for feed when it's growing right there?
Thanks for visiting my frugal homestead. Please consider subscribing. ua-cam.com/channels/41S9MSkeQ1TWo1URYLeRuw.html

Great green house repair job. That tape looks like a great thing. Funny the way the small pig looks out in case you're throwing more hay, smart.
Yea, greenhouse tape is magic. I used it to add a tarp to the bottom of my cistern so my ladder won't puncture the bottom.
great video thanks for sharing and have a great weekend
Hey RG! Same to you.
Tea Time!
Cheers! Love me some red tea blend.

Hopefully some of my spaghetti squash come in. I see several gords and cucumber
Willows make awesome heavy duty woven baskets. Your compound looks pretty good for the short time you’ve been there. All the best!
Oh yea! Great point
Great you got the washer going.
It was pretty nice to do laundry at home
Dry those clothes using free wind and sun on a clothesline like I do. LOL I never use a dryer anymore.
You're amazing!
I bet you're really happy to get that washer! I hate having to go to the laundry mat
After using a laundromat it was no sweat at all doing a load at home.
@@FrugalOffGrid yea, I know, I have to go to the laundry mat My self, but since I saw how you were doing it, I'm going to buy me a washer
Nice video John... blessings friend 🙏🙏❤️
Thanks for the comment Tracy

Thanks Susan, it's not goat weed the thorns are much softer. Someone suggested it's tumble weed

Thanks, I have like 50 seeds I just wanted to try to germinate them a few different ways. Cheers
Good idea...take a shot of beet juice with a coffee chaser. Maybe I'll try that.
That's the trick.

Love it

Chat is high alkaline which would add to the already alkaline soil making it too alkaline to grow.
Willows take a LOT of water.
They're hybrids they require way less water than willow and they'll grow to be a shade tree in only 2-3 years.

Square army ammo can Tony solar panel lithium gil scooter 50 cc battery And a little solar panel to keep that battery charged and run that Geo fan
Sounds like a good idea. I just need to upgrade my shop panels and I'll have extra to go with one of my 12v 100ah lifepo4 batteries
How many mil thick is that green house plastic sheet?
6 mil
Have you had any termite problems? And if so what was your solution ?
No termites, when you build coat timber that touches ground in tar up about 6 inches. Never stack wood next to any buildings.
Where did you get the treelings from
Amazon

One day when I met all the county requirements and have enough savings to build a home I'll probably do it.
What do you do in the winter as far as water goes? Doesn't it freeze?
It never froze more than a few days. Now my main task is underground
How do you manage?! Hay is so expensive!!
🤓👋👍
🤠
Is That weed Goat Head? You step on them and stick to you shoes, aliterally
Instead of burning that foliage, offer it to your goats. I'd be shocked if they didn't like it. Your pigs would probably enjoy it, too. Why pay for feed when it's growing right there?
The goats didn't want to eat spikes
Literally, Pull them out of the shoes and it does look like a Goat Head. Never heard of it until I moved here,...
These are not goat heads
Tea Time!
That's right!
