Rio was never promoted according to his talent. I am always puzzled to know, what the authorities of calypso are looking for. or what they call a real calypso. or good calypso. Their continued suppression of great calypsos, has now resulted in a new generation, Jumping and waving a jockey shorts. to the delight of the less fortunate and the demise of a great art form.

I am not a Trini but i grew up listening to the greats of Kaiso and it is indeed lamentable that the T&T governments over the years have allowed this magnificent art form to whither and is almost dead. I really hope something is done to preserve these wonderful treasures.
