Nutmeg's not funny. Don't do it.
These cases are patients who I, or my colleagues have seen. They are de-identified and many instances have been presented in more depth in an academic setting. These videos are not individual medical advice and are for general educational purposes only. I do not give medical advice over the internet, see your own physician in person for that.

"Natural things are filled with chemical" I wish more people understood this.
Can you believe the chemical E number E-175 is sometimes used on donuts to increase their value to children?
I agree. I also wish people would understand that natural doesn't always mean good for you. Nightshade and poison ivy are natural. They are also organic.
I said this to antivax group and they blocked me lol
Dihydrogen monoxide! The things the government puts into our water supply...
Not filled with chemical. They consist of chemicals. They are nothing but chemicals. That being said, the less technical use of the word is referring to substances produced by unnatural synthesis or at least unnatural methods to concentrate, extract, purify. eg formaldehyde is found in food like apples but you would never encounter a jar of formaldehyde in nature. We use it to embalm corpses and it can be considered quite unsafe but it's still edible in apples. The colloquial use of the word chemicals would apply to the jar of mortician's preservative but not to the apple.

Hi smug from arsenal
1. He was a TikToker
2. He thought downing an entire bottle of nutmeg was a good idea.
3. He thought drinking 4 gallons of water was a good idea.
....and they were worried about damage to his brain?
It sounds like that ship had already sailed a long time ago.
People make mistakes all the time.
Bro actually thinks brain damage equals low iq, stay in school kid.
@@Craig-yn2fv trying to trip off of nutmeg is just ignorant, not a mistake. Its pretty easy to not do anything when you know youre ignorant (you can just assume youre ignorant every time you can imagine any imaginary person saying something against something you were about to do.) You have to evaluate the risks of being ignorant if youre going to do something regardless, and if you cant handle the consequences without help, then you definitely shouldnt do it and if you still do, you deserve everything that is coming.
Most people like to slither out of this responsibility by claiming that ignorance is just something others have to accept and act like its totally not possible to prevent by simply restraining yourself from doing something which everyone should already be able to do unless youre completely mentally disabled. And then hide behind the claim it was just a mistake.
If people just decided to carry this responsibility it would fix 45% of worlds problems. Another 45% of problems will be fixed by us not assuming we deserve anything inherently and then again referring to the simple ignorancy logic i just explained above if wanting to figure out what we actually deserve. The last 10% of problems will be fixed by various small tweaks of the system.
@eridiumrat3671 innocent people make mistakes, ignorant people are usually not innocent
@@iarmycombo5659 Eh, I sort of agree, the thing is tho, to accept to yourself that you're ignorant requires a level of intelligence, therefore, you can't be ignorant and "aware" (cognisant [having the capacity to understand, i.e. intelligence]) of the fact that you're ignorant at the same time
So basically:
1. because of nutmeg he went crazy

@@prussianmapping9149 And they say that his brain grew 3 sizes that day.
Maybe I misunderstood the video. I thought the nutmeg prevented him from peeing, prevented him from producing saliva, and made him thirsty. Because he was thirsty he overdosed on water, causing brain damage and other organ problems.
That was a good story though. My stepfather has schizophrenia. He drinks water like GG did often. Same result of course.

A man ate an apple everyday. Here’s what happened to his doctors paycheck.
Jake Mitchell an apple a day keeps the doctor away 🤣
Nothing happened because eating one apple will not change a bad diet and it was a marketing tactic the apple industry invented in the early 20th century when they weren't selling much apples. "An apple a day keeps the doctor away" was just a marketing ploy just like in the 50's when the bacon industry was going down so they invented the the marketing slogan "bacon and eggs, a real American breakfast", and so because when TV had just come out everyone believed what was said on it like it was gospel, and soon after people were brainwashed into thinking bacon and eggs were actually good for you and it became a thing, still to this day. Apples however are good for you...though not enough to ward off disease

It's fascinating that arrays of chemical bonds turn one thing into another. C55 H104 O6 is human fat when metabolized we breathe most of it out as CO2 thought you may find that as interesting as I did.

Ostensibly, also has the potential (with sufficient dosage) to be used as a “recreational” acutely potent deliriant - however, it’s more-so commonly abused by 14 year old edgelords looking to get a quick high when absolutely no other psychoactive substances can be sourced and so, these geniuses will instead sift through their mother’s spice cabinets at wee hours of the night before spending the next two days/nights wondering where they went wrong in life whilst having conversations with shadow people.

Man, this reminds me of my erowid days. Before we had idiot tiktokers, we had write ups of trip reports. Nutmeg was always tagged with “bad trip” or “disaster.” I stupidly tried it once, but couldn’t get enough down to hallucinate.
I still love erowid I trust it more than anything ❤
Erowid was an interesting site for sure. Spent more time reading reports than trying to trip. I miss the old internet...

It only takes 2 teaspoons or 5 grams of nutmeg to suffer the affects. This is probably why recipes only usually call for a small amount, 1/2 or 1/4 tsp, mixed among a large amount of other ingredients. Causing the nutmeg amount to be even more insignificant.

Way back when I was a dumb young teenager I did my fair share of 'experimenting', including a round with nutmeg. I was very meticulous and took what would have been the ideal dose for my bodyweight, which I won't describe in detail as to not perpetuate such foolishness. Honestly I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, I remained fully lucid and had my faculties about me, but the best way I can describe it is that reality was water. Everything rippled and waved, every footstep was as though I was walking on top of the ocean and the ground rippled about me. That lasted for something like 2 1/2 days! Honestly I would have done it again, but good lord ingesting large amounts of nutmeg is absolutely brutal. I struggled to get it down the first time and had absolutely no desire to ever consume it in such a fashion again.
