My Grandfather owned 2 of these we had all aunts and uncles and kids in one building and he rented the other now we’re all out on Long Island chilling and me in California this brother is Bi-Costal and loving life thanks Grandpa you blessed us all with the knowledge of homeownership early and this is a beautiful home
This is absolutely gorgeous. Miss these type of homes. This exactly was how homes were build, no cookie cutter. Closets could have been larger. That property has been well taken care of.
I love this home! Just enough upgrades were done to improve the space while preserving the original aesthetics you'd expect in a brownstone. Job well done!
Thank you for this. I had often heard about 'Brownstones' in Movies and TV and was curious to see what one was like. Most video tours are cut and pasted together with edits all over the place so you don't really get a good idea of the layout. This (relatively) seamless flythrough was EXACTLY what I was looking for, fully conveying the floorplan and composition of these buildings. Again, big thanks.
I also love the contrast of the black woodwork. But what I also appreciate very much is the possibility to close the kitchen when necessary with sliding doors. I hate open space kitchens. This is a wonderful brownstone house. A dream.
Beautiful music. The photographer is all that and more😍! I don't want a brownstone but I love these videos and the historic nature of these homes. They tell a story of the past and present of New York.
As much as I love, love, love, this brownstone- I adore the cellar or basement!! If I owned it- that would be my sewing/craft room. I’d load it down with several layers of primer and good quality paint to the extent of it looking immaculate! I’d have the pipes carefully painted too and a bunch of outlets put in. I’d have a beautiful carpet runner on the stairs and a nice reading nook just to the left of the stairs in the alcove. I’d have a large stylish linoleum put down to cover the floor. That room would be as cozy as can be! Of course it would have to a refrigerator and floor to ceiling bookshelves for my project books and supplies and my sewing machine! I’d be spending a lot of time down there! I love that room! It would have to be cooled and heated too! I got myself a sweet dream and a huge imagination!🥰
Holy cow, This is a really nice Brownstone!!!! Now I wouldn't mine moving into that place. It has enought space for family, friends, get togethers and even laundry. It is a rental???
Wow . . I just remembered a renovation that I visited in Brooklyn during Christmas a few years back. The proud owner lovingly repeated "5 coats" as we stepped upon the maple finished living room floors!!! Beaunita !! BJ/ATL
I love these homes. I never get tired of looking at them. I'm from Florida and we don't have homes like this. I don't know why the front door has two entries. I would love it if someone could educate me.
Beautiful, spacious home and every closet outfitted w organizers! I’ll take the bedroom with the fireplace please. Thanks for the tour. Impressive camera work!!
Love this one a lot!! Woodwork is amazing and love the windows and windowsills. A beautiful restoration with out taking away the real beauty of the house. Only one thing I didn't care for was the light fixture in the kitchen and that is a tiny thing. Thanks for sharing!!
Just wondering if they still give you papers when you buy the property that list the history of all the oast owners until the property was built? Reason I ask is my husband's family owned one of these buildings in Brooklynn and we have pages records of who owned the land starting way back when it was just a farm and I am pretty sure ours also was owned by the Dutch name mentioned. All my papers are up at my Washington state home, at California home at the moment, so I can not tell you when the property was first bought. But, 1890's or early 1900's would be my guess. Is there someplace that would be interested in the paperwork or is that still done when you purchase a property there? We have thought about just mailing it to the place but if they already have this info would a person want it? Anyhow, my in-laws sold the properties around 1975 or so.
It's going to be a challenge getting furniture through the narrow stairs. The closet size was disappointing. The sizes of the bedrooms and the kitchen was GREAT!!!!! LOVE that some of the architectural details were left, fireplaces, doorknobs, staircase, etc.
Gorgeous home, but I wish that main level did not have those black doors and that wall that entire wall. I kind of wish they left it all open and just kind of used the sofa as a divider and maybe not have that fireplace also in the main living area and makes place in a you know a sofa set kind of awkward a little bit Kind of makes it look small a little bit and I kind of wish that second level did not have that fireplace and that bigger bedroom. It takes up a lot of space I think a little bit and it kind of messes with the function of the bedroom where you wouldn't be able to put the bed in front of it and I would think that just to maximize as much space as possible and the reason I said that was because I would put up a bed right there at the fireplace position on that second floor and then that little alcove a part of more than made like a sitting room / makeup station right there because there's not a lot of room in that closet on the second does not really a lot a closet space anyway because excited to put in and ensuite bathroom and too bad they didn't make the deck bigger off the kitchen and put it in a set of nice bifold doors on both levels to really open up the space

I want to buy, not rent, a brownstone! This is an exquisite house - perfectly and simply renovated.
The stairs and handrails are a true work of art!
Agreed! Breathtaking…
Excellent photography. You cover everything and move slow enough so that people don’t get seasick following you. The music was good also. Top notch.
Thanks so much! Really appreciate the comment 😊
I completely agree!!😉 I too would want to buy this lovely home! The rooms need color to make them warm and inviting!
The Beautiful exterior color draws you in. Therefore, I would want the insight to reflect that same feeling!
This is absolutely gorgeous. Miss these type of homes. This exactly was how homes were build, no cookie cutter. Closets could have been larger. That property has been well taken care of.
I’ve always liked the “long house” or “train house” design. Not sprawling in width, but deep and roomy still. Love this one. Thank you.
thank you for opening ALL the doors. ive seen several tours and they dont open doors.
Breath taking! Not too over the top.I can just imagine how those trees in the back would look in the Fall.Great tour, thanks.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
This Brownstone is absolutely gorgeous!
That rooftop terrace is divine
I love this home! Just enough upgrades were done to improve the space while preserving the original aesthetics you'd expect in a brownstone. Job well done!
I concur. Yes, job well done!
Yes!!! So many come in and reconfigure floor plans completely destroying what makes an older home charming.
This is one of the nicest brownstones I've seen
An exquisite work of restorative art. ❤️ ❤it. All hands on this beauty should be proud of their work.
Stunning and Beautiful.
Perfect multi generation family home.
💛🙏
I’m picturing Generational Housing. I’m on the Garden level. Awesome.

looks like we're close to Sesame Street. i really like older style Brownstones the wood work in them was amazing
Beautiful home. I love the black woodwork, I can’t stand when it’s painted white or gray. I have always dreamed of living in a home like this.
I also love the contrast of the black woodwork. But what I also appreciate very much is the possibility to close the kitchen when necessary with sliding doors. I hate open space kitchens. This is a wonderful brownstone house. A dream.

Wow..one day!
I love these homes. I never get tired of looking at them. I'm from Florida and we don't have homes like this. I don't know why the front door has two entries. I would love it if someone could educate me.
They make them like that to let the snow off the boots. That way they don’t track the mess in the house.
@@ellenaparicio5158 Thank you for letting me know. 😊
These old homes have "foyers", a sort of air lock to keep out cold air when people enter in the winter.
This is absolutely a beautiful renovation
I love the entire renovation. Well done. Congrats 💕 BJ/ATL
