The high beam do not lock in place Volvo V70N. We troubleshoot and replace the light switch

- You may recognize this Volvo from previous episodes here on the channel. It is my youngest son who recently got his driver's license who took over this Volvo. For about 1 year, he has been the owner of this V70N from 2003. I haven't succeeded in infecting my youngest boy with any direct interest in cars, so after he went to the car test recently, some small errors have appeared. We'll start by getting the headlights back in order.
When you switch to high beam on the arm, the high beam position does not want to lock, but immediately goes back to low beam. If you now want to drive with high beam, you have to hold the lever (arm) completely for it to light up.
The inspection calls this error because the high beam switch is out of order. We're aiming for the fact that it can't possibly be such a simple fault as the switch (high beam switch) being defective, but we're going to replace it and we'll see.

Fick likadant på min v70 2007 men det var inne i spaken de hade gått sönder på den
Det var armen som jag skulle sikta på nästa grej om inte denna strömställare löste felet. Tack för du tittade
Samma med strömställarmodulen på vår S60, samma "glapp" i den, inträffade under färd, vart lite lustigt 😋
Men jag plockade ur den efter att ha läst om det på nätet och lödde om alla punkter i modulen, nu fungerar den felfritt igen.
Fint tips🙂. Jag öppnade denna också och kollade lödpunkterna och hittade ett ställe som blivit alltför varmt.
