- 👋 In todays review we check out the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2! This model though is unique in the fact that it has the dealer installed procharger! This adds a significant amount of power to this pickup truck and really wakes it up! The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2 has a lot of offroad focused technology with the multimatic suspension and 33 inch tires! This is also a full size truck that can be used daily and for work purposes! The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2 is finished off in grey which seems to be a very popular color in todays market and has a two tone unique interior to go with it!
The technology and features for this $70K truck are very nice and accommodative to make this a great place to be!
Driving the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2 is nice! It's a smooth driving truck, and the only loud part is the exhaust and the procharger noice! Definitely livens up the drive and it's a quick truck even with the mild accelerations I did! If you are looking for a full size work truck, but also want the comfort using this truck a lot, this is a great option! Even without the procharger, it's a great option!
But if you want power and a factory warranty, you can buy trucks with these types of modifications or lift kits and have that piece of mind you can take it to the dealership if needed.

22 Silverado ZR2 owner here, I love the addition of the super charger and I’ve constantly wanted to add more power and to do a centrifugal or roots type super charger to mine. But then, as the other commenters pointed out, you will absolutely need to upgrade the brakes because the stock ones are mush and definitely can’t stop a full-size pickup hauling ass in an emergency situation. To do that you’ll definitely need larger diameter wheels to clear the bigger rotors and calipers, at which point you’ve defeated the whole purpose of the ZR2 to begin with, which is to be the best full-size off road pick up there is. Personally, I’d suggest just getting a Trail Boss or Z71 and save a bunch for upgrades, because other than the locking front and rear differentials and the unique grill, there’s nothing you can’t get from the GM performance catalogue, including the DSSV shocks. Hey, I get it, it’s a super good looking truck, but there are some great aftermarket front bumpers that look amazing and in some cases, better than the factory ZR2 grill. But whatever, people should and can spend their hard earned money anyway they want and I couldn’t recommend the ZR2 enough. It’s an absolute pleasure to drive on and off road

Id suggest upgrade the brakes & if you tow with it add a transmission cooler with a fan mounted to it by either the dealer or another licensed professional of your choice if you don't believe me consult with a licensed professional to point out the pros of doing it vs cons of not doing it
I don’t own this truck, but it would depend on what is being towed and what the owner feels is best.
