An revamped scarier face paint dominat version of Papa Shango would've been more scary bringing back the voo doo magic in beginning of WWF adult theme content Attitude Era. Which features dark magic, mind games, and curse on wrestlers to vomit and bleed red blood. Which lead to a high-profile rivalry against The Undertaker (lord of Darkness) with Shango alliance with Paul bearer after Mankind but was scrapped due to plans and anticipating long awaited debut and storyline of Kane. There's no telling how creative would've book Shango as a monster heel, or the secret higher power in the Ministry of Darkness in 1999 making allies with Undertaker and Paul Bearer.
Are we seriously criticizing how the Warrior sold Papa Shango's curses? 🙄.... This was actually some of the BEST work the Warrior ever did. I normally don't go in this deep, but I think this is appropriate. You can criticize the Ultimate Warrior for all his shortcomings and belittle or ignore his strengths, contributions, and impact on professional wrestling all you want. Jim Hellwig left this world in 2014. 10 years later, WWE is *STILL* making money off of his merchandise and people are *STILL* talking about him. Outside of close friends or family, I don't think the case will be the same for Bruce Prichard or Conrad Thompson.......
