Dawg ..... the bass made my mouth drop, I knew based off the other 2 min before it kicked in it was gonna be something good but I didn't think it was gonna pop off like THAT
Amazing PSG lead once again. It's making me rethink how little credit the PSG always gets. Interestingly no DAC in this track while the drums and bass still sound really good.
That’s because in those games, the drums are samples, but here, they’re made the same was the notes are, which can work if you do it well, but probably not here. By the way, the only channel capable of playing samples is channel 5, and it can switch between sample mode and FM mode, which is what the other channels use. However, it can’t change the pitch of volume, like the SNES could (it had 8 sample channels)
There is some truly amazing sound design here, maybe even the best of any officially-released game on the Genesis. The drums (and even the bass to a degree) are a little weaker than I would like them to be, though.
It's been a while since I listened to all of Thunder Force IV's soundtrack. Maybe it's time to do that again. Hell, I might remix a song. (Also this song reminds me of the lost Galaxy Colosseum battle arena in Mario Kart Wii.)
Carpathia808, do you accept suggestions? Make a desconstruction of these themes: 1 - DKC 3 Dixie Beat. 2 - DKC 3 Bonus theme 3 - DKC 3 Wrinkly 64 4 - DKC 3 Brothers Bears 5 - DKC 2 Funky's theme 6 - DKC 2 Snakey Chantey 7 - DKC 2 Welcome to Crocodile Island Last, but not least important 8 - DKC 1 Fear Factory
Can you add Sonic 3D Blast 825 and 819 unused prototype boss songs, please? Anyway, great job on these deconstructions. Sorry for commenting on this video that is unrelated to Sonic stuff.
I've never player this game...
But that BASS is making me wanna play it.
You should, even if just for the music alone! :)
Both the game and the music are masterpieces. One of the best shooters ever made with one of the best soundtracks ever composed ;)
The Sega Genesis/Mega Drive had the most beautiful bass of its generation, thanks to YM2612.

Sounds kinda like a racing theme.
5:52 EVERYBODY NOW!!
2:55 that's my favourite part, also, great video!
2:55 - Now things start to get real.
GIT SLAPPED
The PSG simply rocks. I've learn so much just by watching this. Thanks for uploading!

None of the Technosoft games on the Sega Genesis used the DAC channel outside of voices (which interrupt the music entirely when played back)
I am SO glad you're doing this amazing game
Alright another Thunder Force 4 track!
One of my favourite game tracks.
I love this.
Impressive how magic is done
Thanks for uploading it in 60fps format now I can see the strings.
is it just me, or do the snare drums in this game not really slap as hard as other games (like decap attack or the wily wars)
I guess the pitch bend isn’t as much as other games
This 🅱️ass slaps hard tho.
@@thatretrocattt
Yeah, the bass slaps. But the snare drum doesn’t

@@mashmachine4087 usually in deflemask I apply some extreme pitch bends to make it sound right
This is brilliant - thanks for the upload!
That psg is insane! So good!
Nice

Again you
Agree with drums, but with the bass... You gotta be kidding
Come on, don’t do the bass like that. 😢
The bass is amazing and you won’t find a better slap bass patch than from TechnoSoft on the console.
I can look at this all day
gunstar heroes pl0x, amazing video
3:39 😭
Could you do a deconstruction of the air raid level?
Scratch that - I saw that you did - nice one!
@@-TRIPLE_A- Wait he did? Where? 👀
Sand Hell's looking a lot like Green Hell right now.
I'm so sorry.
Just wow
No amount of apologies will fix what you just did
@@upsetmocha6482 I'm aware.

Only technosoft can do PSG so this good outside of Yuzo Koshiro and wow channel 1 and 2 are done 4 notes which is amazing.

Can I request Air Raid please?
PSG is very good!

Am I the only one that noticed the videos in 60fps
You're not the only one, I notice that too!
