Fields is the starting quarterback in my eyesight. Like any head coach would like is consistency, which he can truly work on during the preseason. That’s the only problem I see in him. Wilson, is not a fit for the Steelers period. The only way he could change my mind about my statement, is that he proves me COMPLETELY wrong, I don’t think that’ll happen.😊
If he's given the opportunity to compete against Wilson and doesn't win the job that's a huge red flag. I think Author Smith prefers Fields or Wilson. Fields should do better than Chicago but once defenses get game tape on him he will have to adjust. The question is can he adjust.
@DavidWelsh-se4lo That's not what the numbers say. Justin still needs time to develop the style of the new offense, which is good for Justin. However, Russ will benefit even more.
Wilson won QB1 in camp in preseason in seattle as a rookie. If Fields continues through preseason, Wilson may very well start, but the leash may also be short. I like Wilson and hope he succeeds. But Field's has more arm talent than is being recognized. Bears were dysfunctional as normal. Getsy was a horrible hire for a young QB. Field's is in better hands and will likely develop into a top QB passing and running. Wilson has to stay healthy and produce.
Fields is making a strong case butt his decision making speed is still a problem. All in all Fields is a newer Lamborghini Wilson is an old Lamborghini. Which would you want? I think we use Wilson for 3 or 4 games and then bring in Fields.
@@mljr.6134 I get that butt Wilson was picked up first and has won and lost a Super-bowl, that’s veteran experience that any team would want. Honestly I think he Wilson might lose his position in 3 or 4 games and Fields will have his chance.
@@TheAlfonsogonzalez61 If that’s the case, then there’s no need to waste 3 to 4 games. If Wilson starts, it needs to because he’s the best option, and the team believes he will win and play the entire year. Otherwise, Justin needs to start, period. Wilson won a Super Bowl over 10 years ago. Experience can be overrated when the player has clearly regressed, which is expected with age and body deterioration. And for the record, Russell Wilson is currently not a Lamborghini of any kind. It sounds good, but far from the truth.
I don’t have a dog in the fight, but I will say that we can’t afford to throw away early games. As Tomlin likes to say, “we need to stack some wins.” Put the QB out there that gives us the best chance to do that.
Don't think you can go wrong. I think maybe Fields starts from my limited understanding, but either one is a good option, and if it is determined that a change needs to take place, either is also good.

Play Russ...save that draft pick

Very fair take
What is the point of using Wilson for 3 to 4 games? Fields is not a rookie. He doesn’t need to sit and watch. It’s swim or sink time for him.

Justin fields should be the starter
