You should listen to Inertia - Reckless, its one of his first shoutouts ever and the bes ones.. my inspiration for beatboxing and glad I met him man. OG.
Some little spit bullets come out for sure here and there but, these pros have mastered their beats and routines for years. So, it ain’t nowhere near as bad as you think.
Bro the beatbox scene has like hardly any people who cover it, you found a niche here because a LOT of people watch beatbox but there are hardly any people on youtube who react to the videos so you keep going you will get a lot of views just keep listening to your chat bro keep going
7:20 inward bass with meow squeak actually I did my own version in front of Remix on Omegle, he found it funny lmao.. he came along way am proud of ma boy xd
Appreciate the Remix love lol hes relatively new to competing i think. Just kinda blew up on youtube from practicing. Super talented just needs a dew things polished and hell be a good competitor
It’s hard to believe but if you’re spitting all over, you’re doing it all wrong and their sounds would actually sound “wet” to the judges and fans that know how to beatbox. The sound that could produce a lot of spit (if you’re new) is called a spit snare or BMG snare. It’s the clapping sound you often hear. If you want to know how it’s done, there are plenty of great tutorials out there. People get used to it to a point that it doesn’t really produce spit anymore. I could spam spit snares in front of a white paper and not have a single spec of spit on it unless I specifically kept my lips wet. Wet spit snares sound sharper than a dry one. Ones you get deeper into it, you’ll eventually pick up on how they’re doing the sounds without spitting. Many of them even do livestreams and you can clearly see how they do their routines without spitting. So glad you finally got the chance to check out Remix. He has a lot of amazing videos.
The mics can definitely get wet, there's literally a sound called a "spit snare" bro, sometimes you'll see them wipe the mic on their shirts in a battle in between rounds
Hey man! It seems like I’m late to your intro to beatbox, but still. Welcome to the world of modern day beatboxing! I’ve watched your previous videos not too long ago, and I’m glad to say I’ll be tagging along for the ride. There are a lot of different techniques, styles, and beatboxers from all over the world. I know how a lot of the techniques are done (I can’t *do* them XD . I’m not a pro.. I just watch a lot of beatboxing and use it as a hobby), so I hope I can be of help with introducing you to the inner technicalities and complexities of the sounds. :P 1:49 Hitting the ground running - this is what’s called Throat Bass. One of the more simple and melodic basses. And it’s outward. 1:58 Compare this to Inertia’s Inward Bass, which is done by breathing inwards (KI is a *master* at this technique). As you get more familiar with Beatboxing, maybe you’ll notice a lot of similar techniques :P 2:54 Inertia’s vocalized Inward is *insane,* and his dexterity with the sound is why he’s able to do so much robotic sounds. He also uses a light falsetto chest bass (another more basic outward sound. Falsetto is the vocalized pitch Inertia is using the bass in) to go *into* the falsetto inward bass. He’s fast with it too. 3:02 Better showcase of Inertia’s Falsetto inward 3:18 So.. this “clap” is called a spit snare. It’s classified as a basic sound.. though, it took months for me to get mine right XD . This technique is good cause it doesn’t use the lungs at all - instead, the sound comes from the pressure built and squeezed through the lips as they’re pressed together. If you ever made fart noises with your mouth (and were able to breathe through your nose), then that’s the gist of the Spit Snare. 3:30 More KI vocalized Inward Bass insanity go brr 4:05 I love this routine 4:15 Throat Bass/Spit Snare combo into Inward Bass/Spit Snare combo *never* gets old from KI. 4:41 AAAAHHHH!!! I love this bit. Inertia is flipping from Inward bass to an inward head voice (falsetto), which is *crazy* to me. There’s another beatboxer who’s known for this technique - Den. He’s a really good Canadian beatboxer. I recommend you check him out. 5:10 Remix!!! AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!! Hell yeah! 5:46 Quick little note - that’s called a “Rimshot” snare. I can’t do it, nor fully understand *how*, but that’s what YT tutorials are for XD 6:11 Opening with Vibration Bass is based af. Vibration Bass is an outward bass like Chest and Throat Bass. But it’s a polyphonic bass (i.e. a bass that hits 2 notes at once) and is said to be difficult to pull off. It hits like a *truck* though. He goes into Throat Bass for the higher octaves. 6:53 Remix inward bass drop goes *insane* 7:19 Remix Meow Squeak go brr. It’s a simple sound to understand. You basically store air in your cheek (like a chipmunk) and slowly let it out. That’s the basics of the sound. Performing it like Remix is a whole ‘nother level of skill, though. 7:56 I actually don’t know this sound, but want to learn it XD . It looks like an inward sound just off of initial impressions though. 8:28 Another sound I desperately want to learn XD . No idea what it is, but it looks like some sort of outward vocal zipper (if anyone has an exact name for it, please let me know). 9:15 AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! Very Remix-esk drop XD
The sound at 8:28 is the duck sound mixed with an outward tongue roll, basically extend out an outward K snare so you sound like Donald duck, then experiment with rolling your tongue to get it, hope that helps!
Just to add to what you're saying about vibration bass, it's pretty much throat bass mixed with a very strained voice, it's hard to do and harder to master, and if you want to get it really nice you want the strained voice to hit a lower pitch than the throat bass
The sound at 5:46 is actually an inward k snare, but I get why you'd think it's a rimshot since they're done very similarly, pretty much a rimshot is when you cut off the air quicker when doing an inward K This sound took me way too long to get but it's very achievable so you'll definitely get it one day
@@tnkBeatbox Thanks for helping piece together some bits that were wrong/missing in my initial comment, man! I knew I was missing some things, though I was kinda surprised with the “Rimshot” snare not actually being a Rimshot, lol. I’ll def try to work at that Duck sound/Tongue Roll. Now that I know what it is, maybe that’ll help me learn it. With the Wobble liproll though, admittedly, I can’t liproll (yet) XD . I’m trying.. but to no avail.
Okay I know you keep getting spammed by requests bruh Im sorry lmao but definitely check out Remix vs Jollux online beatbox battle idk which year it was insane. haha
