What a heart felt movie; brought tears to my eyes. The saddest part is knowing this story was true and I remember when this tragedy happened. May God bless this family and all the rescuers.
Eventually, this is how life works. Nobody knows how their life going to be end. 😢 I strongly believe that this is the most terrifying and breathtaking story i have ever came across. I felt really bad for his wife and family. Hopefully, if god has internet up there, you probably reading our comments.💐 Lots of sorrow and grief for you and your family. 💐 Rest in peace. 🕊️💐
The moment he mentioned caves I knew instantly what story this was because I had heard it in two of my true crime podcasts, not that there was a crime committed but the fact that someone's life was gone was extremely heartbreaking and such a rare story. Not many known stories where experienced or even inexperienced cave explorers lives are taken in that manner. I feel so broken for his wife. I don't believe anyone would have ever imagined this ending in such tragedy. It didn't even occur to them being dangerous because they had done it so many times without incident. I am a widow. I never got the chance to tell my husband, my soulmate, goodbye. I don't know which situation would be the hardest. having to leave his body, forever trapped in that cave had to be totally devasting and gut wrenching. I pray his family somehow finds peace and over time can heal through this unimaginable loss. Personally, time has not made a difference for me I am just as heart broken 2 years later. Watching our children grow, knowing he is missing so much, as a widow myself, my heart aches for her especially. I pray for his entire family and those loved ones he left behind. May this raise awareness so that others can avoid this same devastation in the future.
This was such a hard movie to watch I cried fir most of it and even though I knew how it would end I didn't give up hope that he would be saved. I realize that if you see our lives as eternal our lives on earth are just a short time and to be saved is to have the love and peace that only Jesus can give.
RIP JOHN JONES, absolutely tragic true story about John getting stuck in Utahs Nuddy Puddy Cave and all Rescues were unable to pull him out. Since he was positioned upside down, he ended up dying. They were unable to retrieve Johns body after he died, and the cave became Johns final resting place gravesite. Nuddy Puddy Cave was closed permanently and sealed...
I love my daughter so much…to take such a risk means something is not ok with you…feel sorry for this guy but to bad for the family…such a strange way to go when life was just starting for him😢
I couldn't agree more, something was definitely not right. Even as a childless man myself, I wouldn't even do that if I was depressed. Some people are truly full of unneeded mystery.
What a touching but sad ending! Why shoud it end like this? It is so endless sad! NEver heard about this story till accidentally today. I just don't have words to say how sad this is. And great movie, btw.
Terrible to die so young leaving a toddler and pregnant wife behind. I don't understand why a 6', 200lb man would decide to explore an underground passage when a 5' 7" boy scout got stuck and had to be rescued.
From what I read they misread the map and thought they were going to a common spot of the cave called the "birth canal." Which is a pretty big opening after a narrow path. He tries to squeeze a bit more to get there but caused himself to get further stuck.
@@joebloggs513the guy was in med school studying to be a paediatrician, so it’s not like he was unintelligent. It was marked as a beginner’s cave and Boy Scout groups went through the caves. This would have diminished any sense of danger

*Real Story: John Jones and his brother Josh Jones and a few other went caving. Little that they knew, John will die. After a hour of caving, John and Josh decided to go to the Birth Canal. A tight but navigable place. John went to the Canal. But he was in a different uncharted part of the cave. So he got wedged upside down, for 27 - 28 hours, they tried ways to get him out, before fatefully passing out. R.I.P. John, you will be missed…*
They could have been more accurate. They didn't arrive until 8:00 pm and they were with a number of people. John and his brother broke away from the main group.
Well, good for you PHARO you found a blooper in the movie,,,, Those are fun to find😂 Very merry Christmas to you and your family🎉 have a very nice evening from Canada☃️🌌❄️❄️❄️🇨🇦☃️
This movie is based on a true story. John Jones how he died stuck in a cave. The cave is now closed and is John's place of rest. They could not retrieve his body. Very heart retching movie.
People make mistakes every day. John Jones mistake cost him his life. Had he gone into the right passage instead of the left he’d be a 42 year old doctor today.
I was very moved by this film. I'm not hiding it. Especially since there were many similar accidents involving cavers. Man is a land creature. It doesn't fly. He doesn't live underground. To live, it needs open space and dry hard land, clean air and sun. in Jones' case, many of these conditions were broken. He went deep underground. Without a rope belay with his brother, who, if they had been connected in time, would have reacted, stopping his brother's descent. the moment Jones began to have difficulty crawling in these tunnels, he should have immediately retreated and come to the surface. And he would still live. But knowing about his risky passion, the question is how long. NO. He acted very recklessly. first of all, he was very young and his wife was also very young and pregnant. Something like the exploitation of caves and caves should be ended once and for all at this point. A tragedy at your own request. because why didn't he stop on this tunnel ramp and wait for his brother's help and just kept sticking his head and the rest of his body into another narrow hole 🤦. You can see that he was still a thrill seeker without imagination. This whole damn tunnel should have been filled with concrete much earlier. but in the USA only 💵💵💵 rules. And safety will always come second. Such a country. I feel very sorry for the boy, because what he felt while dying deep down there and in such a terrible position cannot be conveyed in any way in a feature film or in the studies on YT. he was in a deep narrow crevice almost vertically and his height was 183 cm. He fell into it so much that his leg couldn't be bent to pull him out. If the knees were in the opposite direction. His brother would have been able to slowly pull him out himself. Jones left his young, pregnant wife, and his tortured body was forever subjected to rapid decomposition in the humidity and heat in that cursed cave. What could his wife be thinking? That he's still there. And she can't hug him. See. Only God knows our fate and its ending. we can only passively wait for our end Everyone has their own end written and I think that Jones' tragedy is a lesson in humility for others. I know from my own experience that if a tragedy happens somewhere, and this happened to me 12 years ago, good must come out of it, and that was the case with me. I was a bad person and someone close to me suddenly died changed my soul as a sinner. Let us respect everything that has been given to us. Even the smallest things are truly beautiful.
