I haven't been this excited for McLaren since Hamilton was there. Zak Brown, Carlos Sainz, Lando and Danny Ric have done great for this team over the past few years. And obviously the mechanics and workers too.

The angst between Mercedes and RB, Alonso enjoying his racing and pushing his way to the front, Lando, Danny, McLaren are back, Kimi still competitive, having to deal with the pandemic, new tracks, and seeing the fans coming back have made this season incredible to watch.

I feel like this IS equilibrium for them, a healthy level of friendship and respect, however they are still direct competition to each other and both know it.
