Thank God, Walmart had a huge delay on the MKE 600 i just cancel that order and going to get the Comica VM40 With 2 mic.... thank you so much for this amazing review
Great video and really like this. COMPLETELY off topic but I see at 1:28 your using the iPhone as a top down camera. how do you find this as I have tried this time and time again and just get grainy footage. yours looks great. are you filming in LOG on the iPhone. would LOVE a Top down camera video / breakdown of workflow. many thanks JP
Hey) thanks) yes, I’m only using APPLE LOG with my iPhone when I film) the workflow is super simple) I have a ton of apple log videos on the channel - you can check them out to learn more)
Great video, thanks! I use a Sennheiser MKH 416 as my main microphone in my voiceover studio, so I'm a fan of shotgun mics (I make my living as a voiceover actor). I will seriously look into this for my video recording, thanks to your great video!
Whoa! I liked the VM40 better than the Sennheiser! I would connect this to my Mac via USB and run the Comica App via iPhone Mirroring. Voila! [then, anytime I grab 'n go, I know the mic is fully charged]. One worry is what do you do when the battery wears out? is it replaceable? Question: If I just leave it plugged into the computer USB, any downside on battery or electronics life?
@NOlimitsON I'm not sure I understand. Why wouldn't it be replaceable? It might not be as easy as replacing the battery on my Zoom h5 recorder, but it can easily get replaced by anyone who fixes electronics or phones for example and it shouldn't cost you more than 20 eur + a spare battery for example. A friend of mine got the Deity D3pro battery replaced for less than 30eur, if I'm not mistaken.
Hello, thank you very much for your review. By connecting the microphone analog with a 3.5 minijack to the camera, can you also record at 32 bits? Can you record simultaneously wirelessly and with the microphone's internal recorder?
Excellent video, my friend. I have a Deity PR-2 with W Lav Pro. Its audio is excellent, but I miss the more natural sound of a shotgun or small-diaphragm condenser microphone. That's why I'm looking to buy a microphone in this style to complement the Deity I have. Deity could make a shotgun with internal 32-bit float and time code recording, so I could control both microphones at the same time through the app. Right now I'm struggling with the Sennheiser MKE600 or Comica VM40. What can you tell me about their noise floor? Which is better?
Thanks) MKE-600 needs a 48V phantom power (it has a battery slot, but if you use a battery the signal to noise ratio is pretty bad. So if you do use a recorder or a camera that provides phantom power and don’t need wireless audio transmission and internal recording - mke600 sounds amazing! But comica is decent and much more convenient to use
Hey I'm looking for a good mic to film professsional ads and comercials, would you either recomend to get the sennheiser mke 600 with the zoom f 3 (550 Euro in combo) or the comica vm 40 for 270 Euro? I mean theoretically I could afford both options but which one would you recomend?
200 meters? So that means 50-60 in real life then because the moment that thing leaves line of sight.. CUT AND RESET audio cut out lol. Yep, soon as you turned around 2 meter it started cutting out lol
Which shotgun mic do you use?
#comica #comicavm40 #32bitfloat
@@NOlimitsON l was looking at the VM40

You’re welcome mate 😉
I honestly think it sounds better than your other complicated setup but maybe because of the EQ. These Comicas are a must.

Good Voice with comica mic.
I wish Deity or tentacle would make something like this with timecode
Thank you , It would be better if they even produce XLR shotgun microphones
Our XLR shotgun microphone will be available soon, please look forward to it~
@@ComicaAudio Sure waiting for that xlr/usb will be good
Nice review Oleg as Always 👍👍
Oleg which one between tthis one and Sennheiser mke 600 for short movies
Thanks) it’s Oleg by the way 😉 I’d go for the mke-600, it sound better and in a movie set it’s very important.
@@NOlimitsON Thank you Oleg 👍👍👍😉
looks good but so hard to buy it in the uk

The battery isn’t replaceable, but I think it’ll easily last for more than 5 years of heavy usage)
I think it won’t effect the battery life if you leave it plugged in

Can you record simultaneously wirelessly and with the microphone's internal recorder?
No, cameras don’t record in 32-bit float (as for now). Yes, you can record wirelessly and internally simultaneously
Can the batteries be easily replaced? And does Comica make parts of the mic available incase of wear and tear ?
The battery isn’t replaceable, you’d better ask Comica about the wear and tear

What would I buy to get ultimate wind protection? What would it be
Something like this - www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1056426-REG/rode_blimp_windsheild_rycote_lyre_suspension.html
@@NOlimitsON does it really need it or I can still film if windy and edit in post?
How would this mic do recording a full room for like a live concert ?
If it’s aimed at the speakers - great

For the best Audio - sennheiser ☺️
Is there anyway to monitor with headphones
Yes, I said about it in the video
Can you record both on camera and on the mic the same time?
Of course, it’s even shown in the video)

Same happens with 90% of wireless mics that use wi-fi. I don’t care about more than 5-10 meters range since I have a built-in recording
The official website is not secure.
Hm… weird…
I'm getting mine from Amazon
