imo doing dukes is easier and safer, it just takes a few practice runs to get a feel for things. lethal precision will help immensely too.

honestly doing dukes is much better, the time it takes to spawn and fight kaido 10 times is more than it takes to learn how to do duke, all you gotta do is go on a power 19 slot (not 20 cause drowns) and fight duke, die, escape depths, repeat untill you can beat him. once your able to consistently beat duke you can get a bell in under an hour, if you make a build that uses lots of mantras you will need to uncap by fighting duke and it's a fairly good way of getting enchants so it's somthing you want to eventually learn.

I was once a Power 18 Starkindred Gremor with Flamecharm and was planning to have my friend help me with my bell progression but after we got sent to the depths by Primadon (we were fighting it to test our skills) and wiped in the depths he wasn't planning to play much so i have to do this on my own. This tutorial was nice i hope it helps me, i usually fight Duke a lot so i will try to get it from Duke instead though.

one time when i fought kaido with a light weapon i think it took so long that a second one spawned
they sent me to depths...
It physically hurts me to use light weapon in pve

yeah only thing light wep is good for is it’s crit when fighting humanoid npcs cuz they don’t know how to Larry it most of the time and it’s pretty op but for monsters and nonhumanoid pve shit it sucks

duke is better, i was originally on your side but after having a friend act as a safety net so i can practice duke, duke is much more reliable.

I'm really really really bad and I just do duke, I did 4 dukes, gripped 2 of them( boss method and 5% faster resonance speed were active, im level 20) and i was already morphed like clay

Guys,one of my friends told me that he killed 5 Kaidos with the 20% echo resonance buff and got bell,just to confirm,did someone do something similar?
I got a bell with 6 kaido kills,seems like the guy was right, but I killed 10 enforcers in that slot too so I’m gonna try again this way since I wiped and wanna see if I need to kill 10 enforcers or one more kaido

If you have canteen + purifying ring you can drink water infinitely. That's probably your best bet.

I did it myself. I researched which bosses gave bell progression then looked at which boss was the easiest.
