- Demonstration of simulated 11-channel (7.1.4) immersive surround sound from a standard pair of headphones. This quick demo clip from DTS does an 11-channel sound check to simulate 3D spatial sound with height channels from a standard pair of headphones.
wow..this is one of the best surround tests i've seen on youtube. and dts headphone: x does pretty damn good job of virtualizing the sound.

@@coppercanyonhealth4594 AND it gives almost no distortion to sound, amazingly!! Just need to drop 8 and 16Khz by about 1dB after turning it on (no specific queue), and you'll get pretty much 1:1 sound from before you turned DTS:X on. I'm super happy with it.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm very tired of coming back here to test my headphones.

Everything sounds spot on except for the rear height channels. It seems like its still pretty hard to get those emulated accurately.
There's a second version of this tech in the latest window 10 store, DTS Sound Unbound, and the effect is much better on the rears.
@@SCB666 I have that, but I'm experiencing weird stuff. If I enable surround I can't feel well the height rears or front, if I disable it, it's perfect lol
yeah our ears isn't very designed to hear from above or below, it must be from straight middle, ask God if you really really want to know why we hear stuff like that

@@satyadeepak1790 seems like I have been using the left channel instead of the right channel for many months. I wonder if it affests real life, but in real life my left ear hears sonds which come from the left side.

Just remember that UA-cam can only play in stereo. The illusion of Surround is in how it's played.
Play with Dolby Surroud decorder or Dolby Pro Logic decorder . it require 2 ch only that can mix Left Right Center RearLett RearRight

Dang autoimmune diseases suck. I guess I've had it all my life, but I went through so much stress and trauma over a 5 year period. It was relentless... losing family, divorce, cheating... wife cheating with my brother as I took care of my grandmother while she was dying from Alzheimer's. There's more but whatever.
All the stress just... brought it out. I started breaking out symmetrically when I'd eat a pizza or something.
No more wheat. No more barley. That means no beer. No bread. No birthday cake. No pies. No... well, it's easier to name what I can eat than what I can't.
Sounds like you have even more restrictions than I do. Hope you're doing okay. I'm a healthy, fit person and was working out but it still gave me blood clots in my ankles because I didn't know at the time. Guess I have a short life ahead of me. I can only assume one day one will break free, flow through my body and hit my heart or brain. Not whining... just facing the facts.

I turn off and turn on the DTS HEADPHONES X . I use hyperx cloud alpha. But I feel it too similar. I probably will not be able to recognise where I turn off DTS where DTS is on ...

I'm using Philips SHP 9500s everything is amazing but I find the front 3 channels slightly above centre line and all other channels positioned as expected. I'm amazed you can get any positional information from a stereo source. I expect this is helped with reverb/echo. Does anyone else find this?
Is the left front sounds quieter than the right front or its just me?

Sounds the same if I turn have DTS Headphone:X turned on in 'spacial sound' or off.. Get all the sounds but was expecting an improvement with DTS turned on
Why is DTS so quiet, though? I have Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, DTS Headphones X and the other DTS one. I bought them all (edit: Not Windows Sonic Audio, of course, since it's free)
I have my amps (motherboard "dual OP amps") cranked to extreme in the Realtek audio console. SSIII tuned in.
DTS is just.. half as loud as Dolby Atmos. Both give the same spatial sounds in this YT demo.
Y'all should work on that. Plus, Dolby Atmos has a console/app that actually has options. Movie, Game, Music, Voice and within each one there are 3 preset equalizers and one neutral one.
Not to mention on the gaming one, there's a special option for pure directional processing.
Step your game up.

@@ChrisBoylan Gotcha. Funny, I'm back, again, still comparing Dolby Atmos for Headphones and DTS Headphone: X.
Since that comment, I've found myself using Dolby Atmos for Headphones (this is all on PC, btw) about 99% of the time. The app has settings for gaming, music, movie and voice, and subchoices within each one.
Plus... it's just louder lol.
"Spatially", they are both good. There's just something about the higher highs and lower lows of Dolby to me on my set up with my headphones.

Something is wrong with my configs then. When I turn DTS surround on in my Logitech G Pro X, it's harder to feel from where the sounds comes from. Especially the Height portions. If I turn it off, instead, it's perfect. However it can't be right lol
i have 7.1 dts headphones and they all sound the same, no directional audio, does anyone know how to fix this???

Unfortunately this won't for everyone as it's based on one particular head model. If your head shape has to be close enough to the model it's based on, it'sll work for you. Everyone else will be like WTF?

How do we pan these in Logic, is there a DTS plugin that can help with spatial audio in our recordings?
Are the "right" voiced sections lower pitched sounding for you guys or is it channel imbalance on my IEMs? I swapped my IEMs left for right and the "right" voiced sections still sound a bit lower in pitch, so it isn't my hearing that is imbalanced

UA-cam is NOT supporting Surround Sound but only stereo. Everything that is not from the left and right channel might only be simulated by your system. So those videos do not really help.
UA-cam supports 5.1 now. But this is a stereo recording with simulation for multiple channels for standard stereo headphones. Most people find that it works to simulate multiple speaker channels from a standard pair of stereo headphones.
My left ear buds are bit louder n clear then right one is this any defect?

UA-cam supports 5.1 now, but this is not 5.1. It is a 2-channel file encoded with DTS Headphone:X to simulate multi channel immersive sound. Most people can hear the simulated channels on a standard pair of headphones.
