yeah, it continues the storyline in there (how amazing is Hoyeon btw?) and as for the story, she isn't a ghost, but it's all very inspired by the large painting you see them examining a few times (i love how many groups have been incorporating some art history in their videos/concepts lately!)
i will say, new jeans have established themselves and have found their sound so early in their careers and i cannot express how proud of them and excited for their futures

Cool with you is a modern retelling with gender roles reversed if Cupid and Psyche. Hoyeon( actress from squid games) playes Cupid and the guy shes following in the mortal psyche that she falls in love with the end of the video in the rain is symbolizing her shedding her god powers to become human so she can be with the guy. In side B she gets to be with the guy and they fall in love at the end at the cross walk tony leung plays the roll of Aprodite her boss. He turns her back into a god so the guy cant see her anymore and makes him fall in love with the other girl. NewJeans plays the role of like guardian angels keeping on eye on her making sure that shes doing her job as a cupid. Hope this helps explain it!

NewJeans is definitely has more freedom than other groups, they always say they're doing school, gets to meet family often, and are always seen shopping somewhere. Also given a lot of creative freedom and got paid 2 months after debut.
