I enjoyed the session a lot. Some excellent detail for the players to take on board. I liked the asking of questions and posing of problems rather than tell-tell-tell. I think when the second defender comes in there is a chance to make the end players neutrals and so on the defending team winning the ball one player on the team that loses the ball exists and the teams swap roles. Possibly you could have a little agility ladder or hurdles that have to be completed before reentry to delay the second player rejoining, but that could take away decision making on the best time to re-enter.
