Just happened to see this and it took me back to my modeling days as a kid.
Wanted to share a cool technique I came up with back in the day that's super simple and realistic!
Sandpaper. It comes in a variety of colors and textures, and it was perfect for any type of paved road or driveway. Tearing or cutting the ends of strips of fine/black paper in odd angles created cracks in the pavement. The coarser grey sandpaper made perfect and realistic flat rooftops covered in gravel.
Simple, easy, insanely realistic, and really cheap!

Great video and tutorial TR of finishing up the parking lot. It came to me when you did the overview of your layout. Get the Walthers add on Silo kit to the existing Grain Mill. That'll add 4 Silos to it and show you're a Mac Daddy Grain Broker! Once again, thanks for sharing your videos w us from this series!
That’s a great idea! I have been looking for some kits to add on to the industry, so that might be a nice choice!
@@TopRailroad I think by adding the 4 that's in the kit will be perfect and make it bigger of course. Just trying to throw some ideas out there for you. I've seen ideas on Pinterest that some Grain Mills have had 8+ or you could put 2 or 3 of the metal looking Grain Bins.

using regular masking tape can allow for the paint to bleed, if you use a painters tape or fog tape the bleeding can be eliminated

Heres a tip: use green frog tape when painting lines and such

Instead of plain masking tape visit a Lowe's or Home Depot and invest in quality painters tape. Will not leak out.

What scale vehicle's yo used on your parking lot layout
The Crown Victoria is for sure HO scale but the other ones I think were slightly smaller then 1/87 scale
Where do you get your modern era HO scale cars?
Mostly from Lombard Hobbies but I did get a couple from Ebay! Look up HO Scale Walthers Mainline rolling stock and some should pop up
