- Getting a job in F1 is a big dream for many people who are passionate about technology. The apprentice and graduate schemes at Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains in Brixworth, where the Formula One engines and hybrid systems are designed and developed, offer opportunities for talented young people to earn a place in the industry - and add practical experience to their theoretical learning.

I would love to be a janitor at the AMG factory.
joao soares ever heard of a joke
that place is like canada, doesnt need a janitor lol
Exactly my statement..😂😂😂
follow YOUR dream! I'm 50 years old now, so I don't have much chance of working for a Formula 1 team, but you are 15 with your whole life ahead of you, so if you want to work for a F1 team, make it happen, and let NOTHING stop you!!
Thank u
Inspirational 🔥
Thank you!!
Motivating words
Thank u so much. Really could use the words of motivation!
this video really motivates me to push harder in mechanical engineering
Glad to hear! Good luck :)
I guess we competing so my friend. Racing is a state of mind
How hard is it
@@jamied8733 is it too late to answer? I dont know what sleep is, bit if your school has a formula SAE team, JOIN it, itll take most of your time and your grades will suffer but the experience in actual engineering is awesome
@@uhaveabuttface my local university has a formula team, I have to go through Community college first ;)
Is there an opening for a clown? I can help boost workplace morale : )
Tempting...;)
I am 12 years old and I've always been a fan of F1 when I was young. I've done some simulation racing on my console and I've Been practicing and working to be an F1 driver when I'm older I've masterd manual gears and the problem is that I keep on spinning out when I come out of a corner any tips you could give me my Dad always trained me for the fastest line through the corner and I've been going to the gym to work out the important places such as legs, arms stamina
Don't want to bring you down, but 12 is almost a bit too late. You almost have no chance of coming into f1 by luck, you need to dominate gokart championships, then hope to get picked up by some lower formula team and work your way up from there. Good Luck :)
I would go, go-karting but I live in butt-fuck nowhere and the closest karting place isn't real-deal races...
+awesome Its not the end of the world. Adrian sutil didn't start karting until he was 14 and he was a pretty talented driver.
Now that it is 2019. Almost 2020. Being 16, just like it said in the description, getting into F1 is a big dream of mine, as I am extremely passionate for the technology and especially F1. I do want to earn a place in the F1 industry and especially at Mercedes, and I know they are now the top team in F1 now but I think my passion, admiration, hard-working, inspiring and self-motivating contributions can help me to secure a job in Formula One. Just like Lewis Hamilton said to Ron Dennis that he will drive for his team one day, I'm telling you Mercedes, One day I will work for your team.
Im 16 too, but I'd like to go help Ferrari with their strategy woes
@@rowen42069 that wont be hard I dont think you meed a degree for that
1:31 I can be the guy who closes the drawers with my knee. Give me a call toto
Been in engineering from last 4 year have completed my diploma in mechanical engineering. And persuing my degree engineering.
From all this time I was finding my passion in which I can continue my career and you guys from MERCEDES AMG F1 TEAM just gave me the motivation and help me to find my passion.
Thank you guys
Just reserved a seat for a junior engineer there will be there soon. ❤️
have you started yet?
i just completed my amplitude test! am following the same exact dream, mechanical engineering diploma, now one year away from bachelors graduation!
how can i contact you?
Im also doing diploma in mechanical . Its my last semester. Dream is to go to abroad for Masters in Motorsport engineering .
But I just want to be part of the pit crew tho
Weezer17x then you just need to be a highly skilled mechanic and apply for the team
@@ttiization i want to be the fuel guy
Weezer17x man that’s a really, really hard position to get, it’s basically as hard as getting a driver position but those are only words don’t let them stop you
ttiization it’s a little harder than that 😂
@@zenz3274 yeah nvm refuelling is banned
im studying mechanical engineering because that's my dream job
+nico soto We wish you the best of luck in getting there!
Me too
You do realize being a mechanical engineer is much different from what you expect. They teach you nothing about cars and all the fun stuff. You're mainly reading a texting book and solving an equation.
Yes but cars aren't only nuts and bolts . There are a lot of physics and mathematics involved especially in a f1 car . Mechanical engineering gets you the job .
Leslie H. Yes, the average mechanical engineer is a computer. But if go beyond being a computer you turn yourself into a living piece of knowledge, that's the dificult part, living as engineering knowledge, not just working some hours a day as a computer
did my placement at the brackly facility! Enjoyed every second of it! :)
Will work for free mercedez, even cleaning the car is fine for me.
same
@3213232 1231223 This comment was give. 2 yrs back, Now I am happy with my JOB😉
@3213232 1231223 Thanks Bro, Let them race we will watch. If I could get a job there I will become lazy because every race is won by Mercedes. Nothing to do.😁
@3213232 1231223 i know I know simply told. Great strategy, great boss, skilled drivers, awesome mechanics and a georgeous car. What else they want .....
@3213232 1231223 Once totto moves, we can think. It's my guess
damn, I cant think about getting another job than being f1 mechanic. I'm studying mechanical car Engineering, I wanted to do this since I began watching f1, I was 5 back then!!!
how you done?
Update?
Update ?
WorldOfFootball doing my Masters now :)
Thomas van Asperen go on 👍🏼
I’m glad I came across this video in my recommended not too long ago. It has been my dream to work with or F1 with any group or department. I’m sure there are most likely plentiful of IT or cyber security jobs available or high in demand for it. I know it and claim that in 2025 when I graduate that I will be working with a highly anticipated company like this or any other F1 company of F1 in general. 😁
When u realise this was made 7 years ago
agreed! I'll do anything asked of me!! Being a track marshall shouldn't be too difficult to attain....it's a start!!
That would be an awesome job. Im sure i could contribute my innovative and problem solving skills to better their product. Cool stuff
Im 15 today. I really hope I can join the AMG factory to develop a F1 car!!
Very passionate on my studies right now, hope my dream comes true :))
I have been working on and modifying cars since I can remeber, my father bought me a Shell overall when I was 4years old for my birthday because that is what I wanted. I have some ideas that can probably gain you 4 thenths of a lap quicker but then you will be over a second a lap faster than the rest and that would be extra boring although AMG is my passion as I have a silver one in the garage :)
I'd be happy with either I guess I need to go to school for engineering and race on the weekends
Imagine if a Aerospace student comes.. Daaamn that would be crazy amazing
Applying for a scholarship for mechanical engineering! I would love a job in a top racing team like this, so I'll just have to keep pushing! Hopefully you'll take engineers from Australia!
Campbell Waldron-Smith your pushing just like the drivers. #KeepPushing
How did it go?
i m mechanical engineer from india....is there any chance to get any work in f1
@@rishabhyadav392 yes of course!! India is still on the earth as far as I know, maybe doing a masters outside India would make your dream more plausible! all the best
good grades.. im out
xIceman
My exact thought
You can, nothings impossible mate, get yourself karting, push yourself, if you need to get fit, go and get fit push yourself to the limit, and one way or another you will end up in racing.
How about offering internships for International Students?...... Mercedes*....
jenomsedivam i am currently studying in Germany and i think speak good german. I am currently looking for an internship at Diamler
@@mathiasvries ya I’m not making it to F1, living in America, karting is too expensive ya it’s over.😔
My dream job is an F1 engineer, I'm in my last year of college studying mechanical engineering. I know I could never be a driver.

Is there much interest from overseas applicants? Not just in EU, but in Australasia?

Do you like AE in Delft, I might do that too
I want to work as engine calibirator ...i still do some engine tuneup at home ,on my motorcycle,my dream to become an engine calibirator at any motorsport field.
I'm coming there because I spent all my childhood in cars and now I'll be a mechanical engineering student soon.
Laters-- Mercedes AMG Labs.
is that an austrian accent at 0:45 or did he and arnold have the same english teacher?
Daniel DeNeve He's Austrian ;-)
George: *takes notes*
Wouldn't you consider taking me for whatever job there? I can move all over Europe :) No but seriously ping me if you need accurate and precise guy in warehouse, logistics, catering, cleaning, sweeping, trucking, bolting, wiring, hammering... I'm sick of sitting infront computer 8hrs a day, underpayed anyway even with years of experience. My heart is beating petrol for ever!
Did you finally found a job in F1?
HEYYY Mercedes... have you seen the toon vids that McLaren Mercedes had!?! with Hamilton and Button... those were simply amazing... you guys need to do that with Roseberg And Lewis!!! that'd be awsome

I'll get here one day!
Are u there now?
🤣🤣🤣
I am nine and Ilove racing so I would love to be working for f1
I just want to be something like a forklift driver. I am not nearly talented nor skilled enough to do anything that has to do with engineering but it is one of my lifelong dreams to work at the circus called F1. I don't care what job it is as long as I can be part of it and travel the world.
good luck... lots of training on your car control and feel will help a bit.. but still you have to have a natural talent.
He says "first you need good grades" like it's super easy to get good grades.
Do I need to have an undergraduate degree to enroll myself in this course? If yes then which one will be preferred?
you have to have a lot of money, it sure helps more than talent in this sport.
I would love to work in the simulator.
What about roles in Media and PR?
one would just get selected from the MB training after you get initially hired ? Im curious but I dont want to move to England
. I would buy a shop and you guys can mail me the parts and ill put them together here in the US.
I just want to change some tyres, how do I do that?
I'm 16 currently and I have a passion for F1 so dearly that I would love to work in any of the f1 teams. I'm an Indian and I wanna become a race engineer so can you please tell me that will automobile engineering be the path to it or mechanical engineering. Also can you please suggest some colleges in UK where F1 placements occur??
Anyone can reply.
Same situation. I just completed my schooling and I'm applying to colleges now. Can someone please reply.
@@elsarosemaryy the best is oxford brookes and you really want to do motorsport engineering, also oxford brookes offer placements
what are the minimum educational requirements. I'm 15 and I've got a B grade in maths and an A grade in physics in my GCSE's. is that good in terms in f1 jobs or even motorsport jobs for engineering in general?
this team will win consecutively idk when but it will i saw it from a horoscope
Do you need to know how to draw to get a job as a F1 Engineer?
my dream job - voice in this video.
I wanna be a ingeneer of F1

Do ye guys take on software programmers for work experiences? :D
Yess thank you for the video, I really want to get a job in F1. But in Oracle Redbull Racing Team 😜🤭. LOL peace. May Redbull and Mercedes could fought again next year

What carreer is the one ?
i'm nik from malaysian and engineering designer ..i like in race and all technology f1. when can open a second center in Malaysia in the world of F1. I hope there Mercerdes Amg Petronas sponsorship for the people in malaysia.

Dream job.....but damn my grades aren't that high, tuition expensive as well T_T
I'm a civil engineering student. How can I apply my degree in F1? It would mean the world to me.
would a computer science degree get you any job in formula one?
I’d like to be a mechanic in F1.
I already own a Benz can i work for AMG? Lol
i'm soon 17 and damn i hope i would i could get a chance to show my skills with a F-1 vehicle.I'm a very good driver even though im only 16.Did carting since about 10. Won alot of races too :)
yeah but the downside is you don't get paid. It's not that I want the money, it's more a question of needing. I am not rich enough to take a year vacation and travel the world with F1. Don't the teams have some kind of roadies? A crew that loads and unloads all the stuff in and from the trucks?
enginer or driver, doesnt matters.
The things I would give to work for Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team. Even working the lowest job they have.
Inshallah one day.
who else gets a tv/pc or something like that and builds it/puts it up without instructions
I would like to drive a formule 1 car as job
i've work for Daihatsu for 15 years, can i apply a job there? 😂

Now it is 2 years before i turn 18. And i want to be one of your drivers, no matter what. Just sayibg for now.
bageli tsandila if you didn’t start racing when you were 7 good luck but it’s highly unlikely because they would’ve reached out to you already
this is a way to get lots of money at a young age
To get a job for engineering, does it require to study in England?
no
Do IT graduates have any jobs?

Hello Rahul I see you're Indian. Me too. Where are you graduating? I figure that we have the same goals. Cheers
Can I be the personal chef for the team?
I want to be a engineer
Cool job.
How do I become a driver?
David Perez well first you need to start karting at about age 8 then build your racing craft, eventually you’ll get to f4 then f3 and f2 then if your really lucky and you have a lot of money or financial backing you get to f1
Just give me the job of sweeping the floors at the facility and i'd be more than grateful...
I'd be happy cleaning the car!!
i am a 12 year old boy and i love racing and cars and engines my dream would be to work with f1 racing
