It is common problem. I soldered new cable from front wheel senzor to connector placed in headlight. OK since then. All these small problems with RE spoiled my enjoyment of the bike :(
I have a hunter 350 with just 1500kms ridden, and I experienced the dashboard problem for the second time yesterday. Speedo not working, check engine, abs all lit up.... sigh. At least I can "sleep tight" knowing it's a widespread RE problem, not just my bike. Off to the dealership I guess.... Cheers from Hungary
Thank you for sharing your experience, this will be my consideration when buying Royal Enfield, in my country several Royal Enfield users also complained about the same thing, it turns out this is a global problem, at first I thought it only happened in my country
Hey, so yeah, my speed sensor was playing up quite badly, the needle was jumping all over the place. The dealership here is useless (not a specific RE dealership, they sell all brands). I don't want to take it to them, so I ordered a new one, and typically the day I ordered the replacement, the issue stopped! But now, I have a battery light on after 15-20 minutes. Man, I love my bike, but it is certainly a machine that has it's moments... hoping an aftermarket rectifier and a decent brand battery will get things back in order! :) Remember, these are not "faults", they are character! LOL
Mate I reckon your Enfield is cursed. You must have the faultiest RE Interceptor on Earth. Feel for you man, I just can't believe you've had so many problems with it when mine has had none :/
Clean (or even replace) your relays. They are full of some white s...tty grease. It causes a lot of electrical problems on the bike (unstable idling, not working fuel pump, etc...)
It's not about the price. If the price is the issue I would choose Suzuki SV650 X (which is even cheaper here in Poland) instead. Actually, RE 650 and Kawasaki W800 are the only "true/raw/mechanical" air cooled machines available on the European market. Triumphs are luquid cooled and have ride-by-wire + lots of different electronic whistles. BMW r nine-T is also very "electrified".
@@ddmytrenko fair enough just be prepared to do more spannering on it than the equivalent Japanese bike, if you are great, it can be a bonding thing, or be prepared for more expense at the dealers in the long run.

Cap🤣
Your bike is a case study!
No, his problems are very common on Euro 5 bikes from Royal Enfield. Nothing new.
@@ddmytrenko fortunately not on mine. 1 year, 7000km. Safe rides and keep posting ;)
@@pinkopinkopinko did you ride your bike in high altitudes?
