2006... I think I saw this video even before dowloading it from Ares, Kazaa or something like that. GOLDEN ERA of Power Metal, I came back here because I always remember how impressed I was, as a teenager learning how to play drums, about drummer double bass. Power metal gives you bigger legs than squats or deadlifts for sure :P
Timo Tokki guitar god , absolute, underrated. yes my friend 😊 . He is still the best. Episode is a MASTERPIECE. Thanks to them other bands made music . Saw them two times with Tolkki on guitar, always over the top.
Man, I still remember this when I was young and wanted to be as good on guitar like Timo Tolkki on this . But I went out to hard. I did not want to learn the basic, I just wanted to play power metal and similar and I ended up now at age 29 to have only learned "candle in the wind" by Elton John. (4-5 different grip learned) I have no patience.
Duude, if you really wanna play an instrument as a god you can do it, but you need patience, practice, perseverance and the most important thing, assume your level and try to superate it a little pick every day, it haven't got mistery at all.
Look my man, Guitar is a long process. Some people who I knew SUCKED in their twenties are monster players in their 30s and beyond (Tom Scholz, Dave Mustaine is even better than he was and not sloppy). And Yngwie is now a fart on guitar. It doesn't matter how long you haven't gotten what you wanted, it depends on how you've approached playing. Analyze what you do on the instrument, don't overthink. Watch your picking hand and your fretting hand, make adjustments as time goes on, and I guarantee things will get better. Another guitarist who's been getting better SINCE his 20s is Black Veil Brides guitarist. I know people don't like that band, but the guitarist's solos have improved from day one.
Bro this video... I remembered downloading this from Ares back in 2004, I was 14 yo. I'm almost 34 listening again to Stratovarius feeling like a kid again. Timo Tolkki is coming to my city like in 2 months. It's like a dream come true
Oh my!!! What a longing when I see this video... Who knows about Jörg Michael's whereabouts?!?!! His way of drumming would always increase my adrenaline...
@Bladedfury The first time I saw Jorg (many years ago in concert with Stratovarius), I was open-mouthed. Then I sow him with Saxon ... and he was equally formidable. Great great great
Stratovarius sin tolkki no serian igual nunca! pero marcaron una era y kotipelto no ha dejado morir la banda apesar que ya estan cuchos y todo con sus indiferencias al final, aun los escucho, ambos.
Brilliant group, and Kotipelto is only tiny, walked past me outside Camden Arena in 2006. Anyone noticce how little Tolki moves his right hand when playing?? or is that just me.
@lgnat He always trow it in the air on live shows. And when he catch it again he signalize to the band whit a punch on the bassdrum that he is ready to continue..:)

My heart beats to the speed of power metal . I love Stratovarius.
one of the best drummers I've ever seen
he's my favorite drummer ever
Brother of heaven, these guys are sacred monsters, that's music and a real band. a big hug Here from Brazil to all of you 🇧🇷👍
This band is fantastic
Yup! But this band makes you do a lot of parkour and everything
Tolkki´s tone is the one I want on my guitar. It is a killer.
Timo Tolkki the soul of Stratovarius!!
@Orklord 666 🤣🤣 timo wrote all of their best songs, what tf are you talking about ?
@Orklord 666 You are clueless.
Tolkki es Strato
Sad but true...after Timo Tolkki left the guitars, Stratovarius turned another band..
Timo Tokki guitar god , absolute, underrated. yes my friend 😊 . He is still the best. Episode is a MASTERPIECE. Thanks to them other bands made music . Saw them two times with Tolkki on guitar, always over the top.
Formação Clássica, época Boa para o Heavy Metal...
Drummer is like a robot man:))))))))))))) Fucking killer band!!!!
If I ever get a chance to travel back in time I'll go to one of their concerts between 1996 and 2003. What an atmosphere!
GOD BLESS JORG MICHAEL *_*
He's the reason of my drum playing

In other good news, you can always change what you want to do if something isn't working. I now write retro guitar music, and it's really fun for now.
Dude, I would LOVE to hear a power metal version of Candle In The Wind!! Light it up, baby!!
You got this!
