My Dad (who is a former United States Marine and lost his left arm in Afghanistan) barged into my room with a bugle he found in the basement and played these tunes. At six in the morning.
My stepdad (Vietnam) use to play this every morning when I was growing up and 30 years later as a mom I play this for my kids which drives them crazy lol
Same! The Airforce Base would start every day off with this, and we'd hear it over the field between the college campus and the base itself 😂😂😂 Sure knew when to wake up for school
I’m a 22 year old in college. Planning on commissioning as a naval officer when I finish. Partying was never for me, but my neighbors are always frat boys who party until 2am most weekend and weekdays. I have started playing this on my speakers with all the windows open at 6am. 🎉
Clearly the most logical thing to do. Play it on 2 devices at the same time half a second off and create and echo effect and crank it up and no one will have a clue where its coming from. Also Go Army Beat Navy!
As a boy scout who recently finished camping, this will be forever stuck in my head. Imagine 5 in the morning just waking up and then out of no where this plays.
My dad was in the army during desert storm and I played this the day before he had to take off for Disney a couple weeks back on my jbl speaker on full blast. The speed my old man showed was almost superhuman the way he shot up out of bed scrambling to get his corners at ninety degrees and was looking for his combat boots for a good 15 seconds before he realized all that shit was 30 years ago. He then took my shoulder in one hand and slammed me up against the wall and screamed,” DON’T YOU EVER DARE TO DO THAT AGAIN YOU HEAR ME?!?!” Little did I know he still has PTSD from his past.
My sister and I had to get up at 2 for a flight this morning, so I put this on and blared it in her ear, needless to say she was livid, but it was so worth it 😅😅, thanks for making my morning a laugh! ❤❤
I just got my first bugle from Amazon. I am a professional violin player, but since I watched westerns as a kid in the 1950s, I wanted to play a bugle. I also ordered a trumpet. Never played them before.
I remember back in high school I was a band kid and I played trumpet. Our class was right before lunch and as band students we can eat in the band room, so long as we didn’t leave a mess. One time I finished early and was organizing my sheet music and I went to get a new copy of a piece that was well worn, and I found the sheet music for Reveille. Asked my director about it and he said he has a few copies of it; he’s retired army, never knew exactly why he has ‘em but that’s his business and I didn’t ask. So I borrowed it, and returned the copy after a few days. It’s been so many years since I last played, I wonder if I can still play the notes correctly. Don’t think I played it well back then but I’m pretty sure I confused my neighbors.
I played this for my dad on Veterans Day, and he went to stand up, realized I played it looked at me and when back to sleep. BACKSTORY BEHIND HIS SERVICE: My dad was in a Marine Mortar Platoon and so the VA offered him Hearing Aids due to his consistent trouble hearing my family. My dad was there for Blackhawk Down in Somalia. He's been in the Second Persian Gulf War and Afghanistan as well. He was lucky he made it out. He then joined the Airforce, his job was to order parts for the C-130s (he was on a reservist base so they only had those planes, nothing else). He retired in 2019 and his glory inspires me to join the United States Army when I am old enough. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SERVED OUR COUNTRY. THANK YOU FOR PROTECTING THE LIVES OF MILLIONS, WE APPRECIATE IT EVERY STEP OF THE WAY.
Was at Fort Jackson for a basic training graduation of my causin, and absolutely love the discipline and everything i saw. Encouraging my 15yrs old to enlist once he's eligible. Would be proud to have him serve this great country that gave us everything. We came with nothing, but are proud of our achievements decades later and all thanks to this great country.
Reveille holds a special place in my heart where it’s the only thing that will wake me up first time every time and make it to where the first word out of my mouth after I wake up is “Fuck”
My son is a Corporal in Army Cadets. I have pranked him with this afew times and woken him up for school and work with it. I should set it as my alarm tone. Love it ❤
You can imagine playing this at 6 AM. After having an all night party and everybody is asleep with a massive hangover. What a perfect song to get everybody up. LOL.😊
They used that melody to wake us up in both the Scouting and Cadet groups my parents signed me into as I grew up. I don't know if they still do this today but I personally loved that they used it to wake us up.
I do this to my teens and yell GOOOOOD MORNING VIETNAM!!!! My dad was USMC Reservist when the war in Nam was on. He was called in to arms 2weeks before it ended😅
My dad wàs in the Army during the Korean War. He was stationed in Texas and he was a bugler, up to play Reveille in the morning and Taps at night. He never got orders to ship out although he wanted to.
I went to sma prep(Sarasota military academy prep) and at 9am we had to stand at formation were we all stand at the position of attention and hearing this made me remember that people used to pass out because it got that hot It was a fun school year and I met a lot of cool people I miss the prep.
My grandfather would get up and make pancakes before going into each of our rooms and playing Reveille with his voice because “it’s time to get up, it’s time to get up, it’s time to get up in the morning!” …at 6AM! 😅 Ahhh, such fond memories though. ❤️
I just woke my 12 year old daughter up with this video, playing it on the surround sound system!!! Today was her school taking a tour of the museum ship USS LCI-713 (retired), on which she is a crew member and youth ambassador. The look she gave me was FULL of vulgarity, but she kept her mouth shut!!!😂😂😂 And she got up!!!😁
Thanks for uploading this. I use it to wake up my kiddo... though I have to play it about 2-3 times and follow it up with tickles to get him out of bed.
My boyfriend was in the US Army 3 years ago and we’ve been together for 3 years now. Whenever he sleep in a little too long, I start playing this and he tries to smack the phone out my hand while saying “No!” In other words, it gets the job done
Fond memories. During my Military Service in an Artillery Regiment, we were woken up every morning at 0615 by "Le Réveil de la Batterie" (Reveille). To be ready at 0715 for "L'Appel" (the Call to Assemble), shower taken, in F1 Outfit and chores carried out and inspected. 👌🏼
my brother whos like 28 joined our canadian forces this week he used this as his alarm ringtone EVERY fucking MORNING i get its for a mental prep but holy smokes hope our canadian forces treat him well, since we're natives. good luck brother. even tho we're estranged. from ur lil sis
Well I’m here because my grandson will not get outta the bed for his new school. Thank you this did the trick Yay! Parents will back in a few days # Glama Duty 💪🏽
Excellent sound quality even at full blast! 👍 I just used this to wake my dad up, he was in the Air Force though so I’m not sure of this was played for that branch of the military.
I went to a police oriented camp last week. It was a “lick of the spoon” of boot camp, and they had us wake up every morning at 0:530 over a loudspeaker to this. It reminds me of camp, which was full of good memories but I HATED the mornings. This sound to me is horrifying yet good at the same time.
Damn dude, i remember living on base and hearing this every morning. I kinda miss those days not going to lie. Also hearing taps and the end of the day. Those were the best of time and the worst of times.

I thank your dad for his service and sacrifices
Like a true marine.
Lost his arm, kept his sense of humor. 🙌
@@EnriqueAviles He makes SO MANY amputee jokes!
Its 7.45 and my Son is not awake. Last night he told me he was thinking of joining the army. I'm playing it loud outside his room now.
He’ll never think about joining again 😹
And did his opinion change?

About to do it to my step son 😅
Good for you!😁🙈👍

This was oddly nostalgic for me, when I was a kid I lived pretty close to a military base, close enough to remember that I'd wake up to it.
Tks for sharing Aries!!
Wow ❤ that's such a tender story

Yep
Five??? I'm an Eagle Scout and that's hardcore.
same thing here but your 2 hours early
Mien would be at 7:00, what camp did you go to
I did a basic leardership training and I have been told 5 is when the leaders wake up. 5:30 is when they woke us recruits up
This classic never gets old. I would wake up to this instantly no matter what
I remember 13yr old me having my foster uncle who was a reserve wake me up with this blasting woke up real quick as well😂
Same here😂😂I wake up right away to turn it off😂

I had to wake my dad up with a broom stick. No thanks to Vietnam war.

My dad sleeps through his alarms. I was tasked to wake him up. Playing this from my phone on full blast worked.
I go to a military school, and this is played in the mornings and afternoons.
My great grandpa once woke me up at 00:00 military time (12AM Standard Time) and had me do 150 pushups. I was more sore than Mike Wasouski’s dignity
My 9yr old daughter simply loved it this morning.

Did you do it?
This is great to blast behind your twin brother’s bedroom door on a school morning.
This is my dad's alarm and he was a former Irish army soldier for 26+ years although he is still considered in it just inactive

I grew up near the Nellis Air Force Base. Used to wake up to this every morning.
Ouch that must of been annoying when you first heard it.
My place is by an somewhere close yet far off airport for planes and jets and helicopters.
The airplanes and jets are always doing aerial roundabout turns and low flights over my house all the time it's starting to get annoying.
I used this audio to wake up my brother this morning! It worked thank you! 💕
