- Hey there fellow explorers & like minded peeps, welcome back to another #adventureswithabandonedangel
Christmas day 2020 we decided to explore this location! Saying it was huge ... is a massive understatement! Being inside was like being in a maze, we lost our bearings a few times. The longer we were there the creepier it got!
A LITTLE HISTORY
Opening in 1984 behind the historical Bidura House, you will find #Bidurachildrenscourt & Remand Centre.
A large forbidding concrete building, built in an architectural style known as #brutalism. Its poorly maintained exterior dredges up the darkness that is within its walls! Towards the end of my video you will see stills of what was described as 'the dungeon'! Juvenile offenders were kept in custody for long periods of time & the walls bare witness to graffiti from these offenders! If only the cell walls could speak!!
The Bidura Court was closed permanently in 2017, since then the building has lain abandoned waiting for its fate.
Though the heritage significance of the building is backed up by a number of independent heritage assessments, efforts to protect the Metropolitan Remand Centre (Bidura court) through local & state heritage listings & an Interim Heritage Order have either been knocked back or ignored!

hey i went here today and there were cops inside, hopefully they don't lock the doors or something like that and btw i think they might be redeveloping the site
@@AbandonedAngel i went there a couple days ago and it is still up but there are junkies living there and its all tagged up and files/broken glass on every surface
