tracker 584 no fing kidding! I’d report for child endangerment allowing him to be in control and is technically “driving” this as video shows. What a moron this parent is!
Yea I hear ya but, as a father of a now 17 year old son, it is totally irresponsible to give control of a motorcycle to a fully suited 6 yr old. But Damn, this kid has shorts and a T-Shirt on. #DAMNITMAN
ceovictor I get it man but nothing happened and I have done this shit before with my own kids, trust me man too many kids don't even know their fathers to have a moment like this, I just think it's awesome as I don't always play it safe, my kids are 15-13-9 and I miss moments like this...
You know what won't feel good the day it goes bad they crash get really hurt or even die! This is not cool better ways to create memories with the kids besides risking a 5 yr life. That shit is stupid.
I remember doing the same thing with my dad back in 1975. I'm 53 now and I still remember it like it was yesterday. He has been gone for 10 years, Passed way too early. My son has been riding since he was 5 or 6. Has a nice mini fatboy and 3 other bikes to choose from. It gets in your blood at an early age. Good job.
Now im 21, i have not my own motorcycle and at the same time i don't ride my dad's motorcycle... In early days, i had asked for it many times but after that i don't like
Dude this just brought tears to my eyes, my pops taught me the same way in Oakland, this video was literally me lol, unfortunately he recently passed away the day we were supposed to ride, but good job brother he’ll remember that forever trust me.✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽
Your kid will remember this when he's older and he will thank you for it . Times like this are getting very rare. I myself learnt to dive when I was young by steering the family car at night when we where on a quiet road sitting next to my Dad. Thanks Dad.
So did i and now I'm a trucker with 2 million safe miles but this idiot is going 80 with just a helmet, the kid is dead if they get a death wobble or blow a tire
I remember my dad letting me do this on his GS1100 way back in the day. Probably around little dude's age if I remember correctly. I still drive the routes we used to take. And hell he let me operate the clutch and brake once I was comfortable. We'd ride for 5-10 miles at a time with just me piloting. Awesome Video man. Thanks for sharing!
You know, im sure people are bitching somewhere about safety but dammit this is the coolest video I have seen in a long while. Awesome, truly awesome :D
Jim S. Agree with you. why not? why should anyone bitch about safety. these people are making a conscious decision to ride with very little gear and its their choice and not anyone else's
I remember dad would sit me on his lap and let me steer the car down the driveway, it didn't take long before I would pester him every time we went home.
I'm 36 and my dad use to do this with me and my little brother since before I can remember. No body thought nothing of it back then. Now people through a shit fit over stuff like this.
How many motorcycle accidents have you seen? I've seen too many. Some are just a couple scrapes and bruises, but some are literally torn in half with their entrails stretching down the road 300+ feet, alot of times the latter result iss due to NOT WEARING GEAR. I'm all for teaching kids to ride motorcycles, but teaching how to ride them safely is the way to go. So what your dad let you ride like this as a kid no gear, this father is an idiot and so was yours.

this is my idea of raising my son right! thanks for the views and comments! WELL my idea of taping your hands to the back of my bike and dragging you down the road seem equally right to me.
I remember riding on the front like this with my dad's ninja 300 and that's what got me to ride today. Fuck the the people saying it's too dangerous, these are how memories are made and stories you and your kid will never forget
What's the big deal? A straight road, a memorable moment for them both! Can you imagine the happiness of that kid? It's not like they were in a city or something.
If they hit lose rocks or a pot hole his tiny arms would have a hard time controlling the front end in a wobble and given what he's Waring if he fell off that bike at 20mph he would get really bad road rash. Imagine 60 + "risk and reward "
I’m 16 my dad earlier let me drive his 2017 dyna with him in the back and when I tell you I never had so much respect for a bike i grew up riding dirt bikes this is such a different feeling and man is it awesome
This will be one memory the kid will remember for life. I remember when my dad would let me drive the car at age 6-7 (in his lap of course i couldnt reach) man do i cherish that moment when my dad trusted me to steer the car through back roads! And when he taught me how to ride a dirtbike when i was like 8-10.... I some times wish i was that young again and could be just riding around with my dad... Now his knees are in to much pain to go for motorcycle rides or swing the cars in the back streets.... When i tried to drive the car by myself the first time at age 11 i accelerated to hard took off the mirror. My dad didnt yell or punish me. He took me back out (even though i was scared from rubbing against a post) and told me "its my fault for not teaching you earlier" 11 yrs of age i could operate a vehicle darn good. This kid is mad lucky and will remember this day for ever. Trust me i know. Be safe!
for all who complain that the kid was driving.Just shut up it was a straight road whit no whole probably the dad goes there whit bike everyday so he knew good the road.
The people complaining are also the ones that complain about violent video games, movies and music while their own children are selling drugs and getting pregnant and shooting up schools.
I had a new 75' Honda MR50 and go kart when I was five and learned to drive a 65' Chevy p/u (with three on the tree) when I was seven. Cruised for miles on all the county roads. Growing up in the country can be awesome. We also had to actually do chores and work, too.
George Carlin said that the pussification of the youth in this country is in full effect. Seat belts, car seats, elbow pads, knee pads, etc. According to the way we think these days its a miracle that any of us made it to adulthood alive. This kid is probably one of the only few kids left in the America that feels his dad is his hero. The father has allowed us to join in on a old school moment of my dad is cooler than your dad for his kid and we should thank him for that. So thanks for this cool vid!
That's a moment he will never forget. I remember my dad letting me drive on his lap when I was 6. From that moment on, I've been a car enthusiast ever since. Such a shame people can't see the good side of things. Always worrying about problems that A: Aren't their's to begin with and B: Didn't happen.
Just love all the negative comments on this. You sir are a idol to alot of people. and most dont seem to realize that weather or not a helmet is "way too big" they had adjustment straps for a reason. Glad to see a child able to be trusted with the controls of this lovely sounding hog! Ride on Brother! We are all Brothers of the Wind!
I'm sry. But your wrong, the strap is for different chin shapes but does not go passed the bottom of the helmet. If the helmet is to big for him then the foam inside won't fit snug and he can get pretty bad head injurys just from his head rattling inside the helmet. he also risks it flying off on impact. I don't have kids. but I wouldn't let a adult ride my bike with to big of a helmet
When he is old and grey and your no longer around and someone's asks him what were some of his best memories in this life....his old weathered eyes will light up and he will say when I was 6.......cuz in this hell we call life it's times like this that make this shit worth living.
memories of a father that will most certainly NEVER be forgotten..... this kiddo will never realize how fortunate he is to have a father that takes interest in him like this..... At that age I was running a back hoe with dad but the concept is the same.... Dam, I sure wish I had kids....
I used to drive my dad's car when I was a little kid the same way, on his lap. Then I went on to my grandpa's jeep Willys, a rice field plower with 16 wheels, and a tracktor with tracks. All of that before I was 8, we lived in a huge cattle farm and he had equipment and machinery everywhere. My dad had a harley with suicide shift, I think something like 1948 or something like that, and I still have my first birthday sitting on it. Now I'm on my no. 13 bike, a Goldwing.
a bit velocity for my opinion but, after watching the video entirely; the father choose a clean road, and he inspires his son to take control of the bike, only for a few seconds. So the father shares his passion, and the kid will never forget this moment with him. A little bit risky (I ride motorcycle everyday, don't like cars) but we are men!... so they both are the coolest bikers on the road there!.. cheers!

I'm not one to tell someone how to raise their child or what/what not to do, but this just blew my mind. It's not even the fact that dad let him control (kind of) the bike. Not a big deal, but what was a big deal is that that only gear that the kid had on was a damn helmet that was obviously not his. Baseball gloves, little red basketball shorts, and a tshirt, imagine the pain that this kid would go through if they wrecked and the nurse had to pick little pieces of asphalt and rocks out of his skin, the road rash that'll burn like its on fire and possibly broken bones. Come on, dad. This is just crazy, man. The kid isn't even my son and I would hate to see him get hurt. The scars from road rash stay with you, bro. That shit doesn't go away, it'll be a permanent reminder to him. I've gone down a couple times, the shit hurts like hell and having rocks picked out is fucking brutal. I know you don't want to see your son like that. Dude, get the kid some gear and teach him the right way, not the squid way.
I'm all for getting your kids into bikes, but I feel strongly that the child should have on some more protective clothing. I know I know, not my kid...but it just makes me cringe.
Awesome Dad you made that kids day , forget the haters especially those who have no idea how to ride and couldnt possibly know how safe your son was , this is the best video bike vid on you tube .
I absolutely love that this kid is starting to ride at an early age. My daughter started riding with me at 8, but dad, you are a complete tool for letting you 6 year old ride in shorts and a T-shirt! If you truly love your child and want to see him grow up, at least have him wear jeans, boots and a good leather jacket! Accidents happen whether YOU think your invincible or not, and I'd really hate to see you lose your boy because of your bad judgement!
This video brought back memories of when my dad let me do this on his GSX-R1000, brings a smile to my face that people are doing this as well! Ride on everyone!
I remember when i was 14 my brother let me sit in the front with control of the clutch and throttle. The only thing he did was switch the gears. That's the absolute BEST memory I have of him (RIP Chris)
well one thing is for sure , the kid knows motorcycles , bet he has his own dirt bike , and two all the crazy people below must have never rode a bike , there was no way he could actually steer that bike at that speed , all he could do was have a ball , and control the throttle really lol it might look dangerous to some , but to someone that rides a lot , they think it through , and say no prob lol
Yep, hate to repeat. One day, 20 years or 30 years or 50 years from now, him and Dad will be on every road he ever takes on his bike. Dad will forever be riding there. I didn't have a Dad, but, I do have a son. I do the best I can to make these memories. Good job sir.
That's awesome,, it reminds me of me and my dad and dumb/dangerous times we shared together 😅😅 ,, it's dangerous but that kid will cherish that moment with his dad forever
I don't care what people are saying in the comments oh that's dangerous this and that. I bet that kid will never forget that moment this is bad ass! Your a cool dad
This will be a really nice childhood memory for him when he grows up. :)

This is how you show your kid that you love him and trust him.
My dad let me do the same thing when I was little, except his vehicle had 18 wheels lol. Quality father and son bonding time
no gear. no respect.
This dad and son combo is badass
Parenting...... your doing it right
Spelling, YOU'RE doing it wrong.
Robert Hillman that's Grammar
Just CRANKS BACK immediately! Love it!!!!
Oh man that's awesome. So nice to see future Harley riders.
Well... bye bye baby skin if they fall
Minh Nhat Bui baby skin😂 I bet that kid could kick ur ass.
This video brought back memories of when my dad let me do this on his GSX-R1000, brings a smile to my face that people are doing this as well! Ride on everyone!
I remember when i was 14 my brother let me sit in the front with control of the clutch and throttle. The only thing he did was switch the gears. That's the absolute BEST memory I have of him (RIP Chris)
now I gotta do this with my kids, thanks.
Best father and son bonding moment ever found
An uncle put me on the back of his Harley when I was seven.... I ride to this day. Thanks Uncle Daniel!
he should get some long pants and more than a t-shirt and tennies on the kid. Sorta wish I had a dad like that.
I love badass dads like you your teaching him great he's got great street smarts props👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Oh that's probably the happiest kid in the world at this point in time.
little guy grabbed the throttle like hed been there before. thats too fuckin awesome!
Awesome!
good job dad teaching his son how to drive a bike
BIGGEST LEARNING MOMENT IN THAT KIDS LIFE
Glad to see you invested in quality riding gear for your kid.
one of the coolest videos i've seen in a long time
well one thing is for sure , the kid knows motorcycles , bet he has his own dirt bike , and two all the crazy people below must have never rode a bike , there was no way he could actually steer that bike at that speed , all he could do was have a ball , and control the throttle really lol it might look dangerous to some , but to someone that rides a lot , they think it through , and say no prob lol
Yep, hate to repeat. One day, 20 years or 30 years or 50 years from now, him and Dad will be on every road he ever takes on his bike. Dad will forever be riding there. I didn't have a Dad, but, I do have a son. I do the best I can to make these memories. Good job sir.
Dude your son is a legend and I'm pretty sure that he's gunna be a badass Rider when he gets older
WOW the boy has more skills (and balls) at riding than most who drive four wheeled vehicles.
I was a little nervous seeing it, you go papa bear.
Epic!
Haha
some kids are just more mature than others. the throttle control was impressive. good job dad for getting him on a bike rather than video games.
That's awesome,, it reminds me of me and my dad and dumb/dangerous times we shared together 😅😅 ,, it's dangerous but that kid will cherish that moment with his dad forever
AWESOME!!!! Thanks for sharing!!! Ride on kid :-)
I don't care what people are saying in the comments oh that's dangerous this and that. I bet that kid will never forget that moment this is bad ass! Your a cool dad
You're
That's awesome. Kid knows how to ride better than a lot of people.
Showed this to a friend and yes this is a memory he will always remember i done the same thing on my uncles honda goldwing.
My dad let's me do that by myself now and gosh does it feel good
