    Hi. I’m looking at buying a new chassis for indoor carpet. What would you advise? No budget

    Glad I found your channel.
    After having the RTR MST 2.0 RMX for 2 years, and saving up instead of upgrading the MST, I went straight for this.
    Since I only had the RTR I’m glad this is already setup well out the box, but now comes the interesting part of choosing the right electronics for it and installing/setting them up correctly.
    I could go the middle route and buy a GYD450 or V4 Gyro, combine that with the 4PM transmitter, a Reve D RS-ST Servo and motor/esc/vario combo, but I’m not yet sure if that’s the right choice.
    The other option is to go all the way with a 7PX or 10PX, GYD550, CT700 (or Reve D RS-ST), etc…
    Any thoughts?
    I for sure want a wobble-less AVCS gyro, and a slow and smooth servo.
    Both versions should deliver that, although I guess that the more expensive route would be more appropriate for such a chassis.
    It might take me a couple months until I’m able to buy everything, but I kept the RTR for that reason until then. 😂

      You'll be happy with any of those electronic combos...the more higher end stuff the more tuning options will be available on radio/gyro/servo/esc. If you want to be able to adjust everything or most things from the radio you will need to have all the same brand gear IE all Futaba or all Sanwa. Servo i would recommend a fast servo (Reve-D RS-ST is programmable so can make it slow or fast) mostly then the car can switch direction quickly. You will be happy with the middle route or the high end route (Go high end, go for it!) :D

      What do you think about the MD 1.0 (MDR010) vs the limited 100 YD-2 ZX?

      @@BadShoppe is the CT701 a better choice for the GYD550 and 10PX then, or should I still got Reve D RS-ST?

    • @BadShoppe
      @BadShoppe  2 роки тому +1

      Forgot to reply my bad! Well the MD is a completely different design to the YD2 so it will be interesting to drive them side by side. The MD has big shoes to fill in my opinion.

    • @BadShoppe

      I haven;t used the CT701 yet but I think the CT701 will be faster/snappier than the Reve D RS-ST. My OMG Bad Shoppe NBS-LP-16BF Servo is faster out of the box than the Reve-D RS-ST, even after turning up the Reve-D RS-ST servo to max speed.

    Hi NezO - which chassis would you prefer ? The Yokomo YD2ZX Red (unbuilt kit) vs. YD2 SX3 Red?

    • @BadShoppe
      @BadShoppe  10 місяців тому

      Hello :) I would go for the ZX because it has a bit more refinement and flex than the SX3. Both are great cars and i like both of those platforms but I would do the ZX :D

      Factory box settings as it comes from Yokomo's team driver. There was no setup sheet provided with the settings written out so I will have to do it manually, check back soon :)

    Does the RS-ST really not fit?
    Are there solutions to this?

    • @BadShoppe
      @BadShoppe  2 роки тому +1

      The Reve-D RS-ST servo will not fit in this MD 1.0 chassis. The RS-ST is 3mm taller than the actual classification sizing for a "low profile" servo. I suspect there might be a fix but not yet, the MD 1.0 follows the YD-2 ZX servo mounting design.

    • @muaythai193
      @muaythai193 2 роки тому

      @@BadShoppe I meant the ZX, sorry.
      Ok so the RS-ST doesn’t fit in the ZX and the MD 1.0?
      Is there a fix for the ZX?
      How about the SD 1.0?

    • @BadShoppe
      @BadShoppe  2 роки тому +1

      Oh yiss that is what i meant...the RS_ST does not fit YD-2 ZX or MD 1.0. The extra 3mm on the RS-ST makes the servo horn hit the bulkhead on the ZX and offsets the servo horn position on the MD. I think some people are trying to create a fix but those chassis were just designed to the exact spec for low profile with little tolerance for fitment. SD 1.0 might be different as it is YD-2 based and remixes a lot of parts between the base and high end versions.

    • @muaythai193
      @muaythai193 2 роки тому

      @@BadShoppe thanks!
      The SD 1.0 has a vertical servo mount, but upside down right?
      Looks pretty tight as well, that’s why I’m worried the RS-ST might not fit…

    • @BadShoppe
      @BadShoppe  2 роки тому +1

      correct, as the SD 1.0 uses a slide rack so the servo mounting is the version from the SX3's I believe. ZX is when the servo started being mounted right side up hehe
