California is EXPENSIVE hence high taxes. We’re one of the biggest states, so of course we’re going to have the majority of those people. For politics?!😂 too many liberals for you? Grow up this is America, be proud that people can freely and proudly express themselves. That being said, I pray WY is a perfect state for you so you don’t come back 🙏🏾
If you move to Washington from California, be prepared for long, cold, dark winters that last from November to April. When the time changes in November, it's as dark as midnight at 4:00pm and can trigger seasonal depression. Also, in NE Washington and around the Cascade/Olympic Mountains, there is quite a lot of snow. You absolutely CANNOT survive the year with only summer tires and you absolutely MUST learn to drive in ice and snow.
I couldn't give up CA for either TX or FL. The heat and humidity are just brutal. But did make the switch to WY with a winter snowbirding coupon to HI. 🙂
Texas property tax is indeed more expensive on average. That’s how they fund our schools and other services as we don’t have income taxes. However, a simple google search says it’s about 1.4x more expensive than the California average. Meanwhile, a 600k 4000 sq ft home here in Dallas county would be how much would n LA county?
The big shocker for a lot of Californians who move to Texas is the brutal summer. Texas summer is hot and humid, and we also joke that our Texas summer is 6 months long (which is truthful in a way). Also Texas does not have a lot of public land, only 4% of Texas is public land compared to California’s 52%, so be prepared to drive for hours to get to a campsite in Texas if you live in an area that is far from one; whereas in California, you can be anywhere in the state and just be within 1 hour of driving to the nearest campsite. Also, majority of Texas is very flat, so it’s kinda of a boring scenery
Thank you for your insight! I’m guessing you currently live in Texas or have you always lived in Texas? I’ve met people from California who move to Texas and love it and others that realize the brutal Summer as you mention.
CA moves to the state nearest to them, makes it cost a little more for people already living there as they continue to take over. We used to be able to afford a house; which we can only mostly rent now. The prices are seeming to rise more. It wasn't this way until a certain state seems to be moving here more than others.
When they're taking over your state/raising prices of houses/rent; it makes you not like that state. The people may be nice....but they're over pricing the crap in your state that they did in their state. When they can walk in, get a house, but some of us who've lived here 8 years and are just about to afford one but can't now bc they're taking over....
CA expats are predominantly conservative. Notice that both AZ and NV, which have received thousands of CAL refugees, are now polling red for the upcoming election. Already red western states are now polling even redder than 2016 or 2020.
@@lawlkings We accept the ineffectiveness and inadequacies of our underperforming government and legislature contributing to the ongoing problems within the state because we have beaches and mountains. 🤣🤣 Sounds like a position from someone that has never paid taxes or very much in their life. 😂

Because of the data we review from reliable sources, we share the information. I’m guessing you’re not a FOX viewer; I’m not either. I know the media can create fear with their headlines and misinformation, but the truth does remain the same that people in California are moving out of the state. California for me has been my second home since I migrated from Peru straight to Long Beach. It would be tough for me to leave this sunny state ☀️. I’m curious, have you always lived in California?

I read news from many different sources. Once you move past the headlines in most articles there is a lack of actual facts, and there is just opinion spouting. I've lived in California since 1985, and I personally know only two people that have "fled the state".
Finishing our leisurely 2.5 year move from CA to WY next month. Taxes, crime, addicts, and politics drove our decision.
Bye

Texas has high property tax 10X more than CA. Florida has high home insurance 10X more than CA.
Thank you! Our next videos will be all about the pros and cons of each state.

Why was Arizona on the list at the beginning of the video and not mentioned in the state-by-state rundown?
We’re doing an entire video dedicated to AZ. Stay tuned!
AZ is only half democratic it isn't horrible yet
